Seems to me that almost all clubs & managers are now turning against Poopey several on Sky ports news saying it shouldn't be allowed. The EPL & FIFA are setting themselves up for a big fall here.
-
Agree with that crystal Palace are in admin, you can see it now Hello FL this is the palace administrator we need some more running cost's, hence we need to sell a couple of players. Now Portsmouth were allowed to do this so I'll just get onto southampton who were intersted in buying Neil Danns . If FIFA agree to this then they can just right off there transfer windows & open up a free for all! Even if they agree to selling players, are they going to allow those players to play this season, if not then clubs will not buy now & wait until the closed season. If they are then that opens up possible law suits if those players are directly involved in key moments through the rest of the season. Say Belhadj scores for Sunderland to send Burnley down in the last game of the season, there are just to many negatives to this to let it happen IMHO. Been thinking the same thing Mickey but knowing the way the EPL are squirming probably not.

Agree with that, but for me its deeper than that, HMRC will be owed 11.5 + 1.15 for this month thats 12.65 Running costs for this month inc wages estimate 3.5 Running cost until the end of the season 3 x 3.5 10.5 Then they have to survive the closed season ??? So I guess they need somewhere in the region of 27-million to survive the season. So EPL give them 11-million they then have to sell 16-million of players ?? Boeteng 2.5 max, Belhadj 4/5 max, Willimson 1 James 1 maybe all providing that they can find a club to buy them, and FIFA give permission for the players to play this season, that's 20.5-million so far where is the other 7- million coming from. And at the end of the day they have to prove Mar 1st that they are SOLVENT that is what the SOA is about do those figure's look like they are?

As for the 10-points most people on this board realised that ethically it was just & that we deserved it, the main arguments about it were, that the administrator & legal guys seemed to believe & lead us to believe we would have a case in law. The FL denied the prospective new owners that legal right to appeal because they wouldn't give us the golden share unless we agreed the -10 points. That was the main arguments on here whether we should have had the right to appeal? As for S**ting ourselves about administration, your dead right, because for a long time It looked like there was no white night out there for us, & when that sky interview happened with Failka well the game really did look up at that time. But we lucked out, mainly because for not more than the amount you owe HMRC ML got himself an almost new 32,000 seat stadium, a decent training facility, and a decent fan base. but the main argument from Dubai Phil was that we were mainly arguing about the main protagonist's involved He who shall not be mentioned, Wilde thing & Leon Crouch. Who to blame how much involvment etc! But its taken the vast majority of your fans & fans forums until this week to start looking inwards at what's happened, the blame culture has been aimed at the press(nast T**ts keep reporting the FACTS ) then its the EPL fault etc etc! Now 2 weeks ago the transfer window closed, your club new it was going to court for a WUP but your official's rolled the dice & instead of selling player's and getting 11.5-million in to pay HMRC & your staff their wages, your officials decided that it would be a good idea to bring in 4 more players to add to the wage bill? Now you rolled the dice it came up the wrong way & all of a sudden you want all the rules changed again. What I find surprising is you get all uppity about us taking the P**s on our message board, when we had to put up with you lot during the summer taking the P**S, well suck it up, I choose not to go on your message boards & reciprocate because I just think its plainly wrong at this horrendous time for you! But if you come on here then expect us to gloat a little, well gloat a lot

What a shame reading between the lines it sounds like the end of the road for GM at least at Saints. He gave us balance in the team, & his awareness defied his lack of pace. He's been a big miss for us most of the season & still a position we need to sort out long term.
-
He's looked a shadow of himself this year, he is not taking people on always looking for the simple pass back or sideways. Arsenal are not working for him, he needs to move on & try bulking up putting a bit of muscle on, he is far to soft & easy to knock off the ball. He needs a season of full 90-mins week in week out, & given the freedom to use his pace to take people on.

Whilst I tend to agree with the overall feeling of the post DPS, that we do have everything to owe to ML & NC who lets not forget brought ML to the table in the 1st place. I can also remember in the not to distant (horrendous) past "the lets go Wilde era" (best forgotten really) but I remember certain people expressing concern at the time, but they were shouted down & called all sorts on the previous board. I don't have a problem with a different opinion, providing its expressed in the right way. And its right in my view to have good debate & if someone expresses an opinion that makes us all think about a certain subject in a different way(may still not agree with it). However good debate too often descends into p**sing contests on here. The trouble is that someone may have a genuine concern about something NC does, but are we saying we can't question what is being done? but just blindly follow? We should all be thankful to NC & ML, but never loose sight that they are the guardians of our club, and If someone sees or knows of a problem, I'd rather know about it & question it than stick my head in the sand & pray it all comes out all-right. NC & ML have done no wrong so far, long may it continue!

Docker-p whilst I don't disagree with your sentiment about Stripes, & I prefer to see us in a striped kit. I have to say that in my 39-years supporting the side there have been many different styles of saints kit. Now a lot of people like the Keegan style, one of my least favourite's, I prefer the Promotion kit from 1977/8. However for the 125 anniversary kit I personally like the idea of the original kit for the season, especially if they use Gecko's 3rd kit design the sash with the stripes at the bottom of the sash. Provided we return to red & white stripes the years after.

Hopefully we can get the league form back on track, I think we can get a draw on Sat I'm going for 2-2.

I thought by now that we'd have had a rallying cry from Storry teller, along the lines of :- Everything is fine Vantis have put forward a very strong case for our continuing to increase our debt opps sorry meant to say pay our debt's & steady the ship. I expect the 2 consortium's to be in a position to put in a bid in the next 24/48-hrs. Remain calm, whilst I fly to Russia to put the last pieces of the jigsaw together. Maybe I'm reading to much into this SILENCE but it seems strange from the blue few?

If P*mpey get wound-up on Friday :Poll:

I think that we should be compensated financially, if they go bust. As they have basically been cheating helped by the FA & EPL maybe get the £180,000 they got for the win. However I think it would be wrong for us to be re-instated, it just feels slightly immoral to me as we lost the match, so let Brum have the bye! -
Because its now a legal document being presented to the court as a statement of affairs, by an independent financial institution. They wouldn't dare to try to fudge the figures at this point. They will be checked by the courts & HMRC will be all over it like a pack of rabid hyena's.

Looks good along side Saggy chops record as well BTF Bournemouth, West Ham, Saints & now Poopey all either been in or are in financial trouble. Also both being done for Fraud, Coincidence? possible I suppose or is it a little more than coincidence?

Been wondering that myself Nick does seem to be convenient. How about a statement on Wednesday something along the lines of:- My wife has been so traumatised by this episode at Southampton, and as much as I want to see this takeover through, I feel I need to spend some time away with my wife to help her recuperate away from the glare of publicity. I leave the club in safe hands with just the loose ends to be tied up before the take over which will put Portsmouth into a secure financial future. To see that the phoney deal collapses a day or too later, so he can complain that its nowt to do with him he left the deal almost done etc etc someone else's fault!

I expect us to go close, either 7th or 8th but ultimately miss out on the play-offs. We need to put a good a run of probably 6/7-wins on the trot starting in the next week or two to have any chance. If we could do that & start putting pressure on teams above us closing the gap then who knows what that pressure might do to the other teams. There is a faint hope, but I have no real expectation of play-offs. But would love to be proved wrong

You do realise that you can get some really nasty paper cuts don't you . And they can be very sore afterwards, but not a sore as his a**e :butthead: is going to be when he gets banged up in Parkhurst. The fake Sheik pic is hilarious love the fact everyone is laughing except Jacob & the poopey contingent looking the other way.

Nothing is certain in football. But.....

If the team show the passion & character they did on Saturday then we will be Ok I see us getting a draw. -
That' hilarious TDD hope its true, it would be the best wind up ever Storrie is turning more & more into comical Ali on a daily basis.

This is total uncorroborated bulls**t you can find no links or further information because it is exactly what you question, total fabrication. Also the LOL bulls**t they started about Markus being an SS tank driving Nazi during the war even though he wasn't born until 2 years after the war finished. But when have the blue few ever come up with the truth. The Southampton docker were always one of the most militant workforces in the country, & would never have broken a strike at that time.

Pardew expects Southampton board to keep their word
Under Weststand replied to John B's topic in The Saints
Nothing to disagree with there, He does deserve to get the full 18 months. From where we started from the day AP come in we've obviously moved forward. If were not looking like challenging for automatic promotion by this time next year, then is the time to judge the clubs & AP's progress. -
Watched the game in a pub in Torquay with a load of Arsenal Fans, they were very complimentary, we really didn't deserve to loose 4-1, but once again we paid for missed chances. We outplayed them 1st half & probably should have been 2-0 up, the big difference was their clinical finishing, & in the last 25-mins when chasing the game it exposed our ageing & slow defence. Wonder If we could get O'Hara here in the summer? he really was the big difference for them Saturday, so thanks FA/EPL for allowing them to get players in whilst insolvent, no O'Hara & I think we'd have been celebrating & not them.
-
First off I think it was harsh at the time, when Bart was dropped straight away for KD. He had played well & let know one down & deserved to keep his place. That said whilst blaming KD for the defeat on Saturday is harsh, apart from the great save from O'Hara, we really needed him to come to the party aka Ankergren against Tottenham if we were going to win & save a couple of those other chances, but blaming him for not doing so is very harsh! The reason we are analysing the defeat instead of celebrating a victory is that Portsmouth were CLINICAL in front of goal, we once again were not! how many games recently have we dominated for long periods of games created several good chances scored maybe 1 & ended up either hanging on or drawing games that we should have been comfortable in. The defence was Old & slow, & when we were chasing the game at the end, they were exposed with the pace from Portsmouth's forwards which caused the last two goals! So I don't have a problem with KD or Bart either are good enough at this level, & CCC level.

Definitely get Big Ron over for it, Good Idea DP.

Didn't I see on another thread that all ticket money should be with the host club at the latest on the morning of the match? I wonder if it they will bring it in cash, a brown paper bag, or an I.O.U in crayon. If its cash I hope NC has someone count it before they sign for it, its likely that they would cut up news paper & wrap a couple of tenner's around the bundles. Bit of a shame that there getting so much out of SFC. Bet they ask for their share of it in used bills.

My initial thoughts have been that Poopey would probably be to good for us. But as the game gets closer, Wembley has been achieved, we have nothing to loose & this could/ probably will be their last game. Therefore I'm beginning to feel as though its our destiny this was meant to be. They are not good at the back we need to get at them early on get in their faces, & not give them a moments peace, there finishing is woeful we can win this 2-1 Saints COYR.
