  1. Bought us with loaned money apparently. I have no problem KL selling us to whoever she chooses but I wish she hadn’t claimed she had left us in good hands when evidently she hasn’t.
  2. Olomola came back beginning of Jan. Keep up
  3. Trousers, for once have the courage of your own convictions. Guan is hardly likely to give details of his status to help you decide which side of the fence you choose to climb down from. Assuming you do work up the courage to climb down that is.
  4. So what did you do that was effective in the Lowe era to halt our slide?
  5. The more I think about this and the more I hear the more I think we are f****d. KL sold us to someone who was never in a million years a suitable owner. He has purchased us with 100% loan. She was within her rights of course but she has sort of condemned us to a very uncertain future while simultaneously seriously lining her own pockets. I admire Guan for getting off his arse but for me the protests or discontent should be aimed at Gao, Liebherr, Krueger and Reed.
  6. I assume his agent is not part of the same stable that Reed’s son works for?
  7. I don’t think I have ever been less enthusiastic about a potential signing. I just don’t trust Pellegrino’s judgement plus this lad can’t get a game in a poor League.
  8. I can only think of one good trait Cortese had which we are currently lacking and that is decisive leadership.
  9. No we can’t unfortunately - we were a bit too quick to get rid imo. But although I am biased I genuinely think he could have done a job for us at present. At the very least he has a physicality.
  10. He has scored one goal less than Gallagher this season, is he really going to be the answer to our problems. We need Premier League experienced battlers
  11. I hope not. He is not the sort to come to our rescue and is he really any better than our loanees?
  12. I am not sure the side will be improved by any major signing. What we lack is on-field leadership, we are too easily bullied and fold too quick. We need an inspirational captain to lead from the front a la Jimmy Case or Alan Ball. Guys who never knew when they were beaten.
  13. We we are already dangerously near the relegation zone?
  14. Worse run since relegation year 2006! Let me know when you think we should panic
  15. More unnecessary chopping and changing, why drop Boufal? This side has little goal threat.
  16. I am a bit ambivalent about signing him, value wise because of his age, wages etc, but I think with Walcott in our team it would go a long way to staving off relegation so..... missing out could be very costly.
  17. Thanks so there's the first part of the rumour that's doing the rounds confirmed. More digging required
  18. Does anyone know if Les Reed’s son is now a football agent?
  19. If I thought by keeping Pellegrino we would finish 17th I would bite your hand off right now. Also your last line where you say "you had a good manager and blew it" is a strange thing to say (why not use the word "we" instead of "you"?). Finally do you really think Puel was a "good" manager? Serious question because that is certainly not how I would describe him. Puel's reputation has soared on the back of Pellegrino's shortcomings.
  20. If I thought by keeping Pellegrino we would finish 17th I would bite your hand off right now. Also your last line where you say "you had a good manager and blew it" is a strange thing to say (why not use the word "we" instead of "you"?)
  21. Well at least I got an honest straight forward answer from you for once without your usual insults. It’s the insults you hurl around that undermine you and why you resort to them when you obviously have something worthwhile to say is beyond me. Calling my post drivel without reading it is just antagonistic and confrontational and I bit back. I would love to have a drink with you one day as I am sure we probably have more in common than you think and I am pretty sure in real life we would be civil to one another. You know who I am so know where to find me.
  22. For someone who has boasted of not reading or being interested in the OP you seem to be spending a lot of time debating it? You are a fraud. And i’d Be interested to know when you last attended a Saints game live?
  23. Yes Turkish forgive me for wearing my heart on my sleeve and saying what I felt back then. He seemed a nice guy and yes when you spend £16,000 on a book you are quite keen to "like" the guy who can make or break you! If you had £16,000 riding on something would you be objective or even honest on this forum? I like this Forum, it enables me to let off steam and comforts me that others feel my pain. I am often wrong I accept, but I just speak as I feel on the day, it's a shame you choose to belittle rather than give us the benefit of your opinion. C'est la Vie I guess.
  24. Interesting post but there must be a point where Les Reed starts to keep more than one eye on his own position rather than for the greater good of the club. For instance to sack MP most of us think to be the right way forward but Reed knowing his reputation is on the line might be tempted to leave him situ a little longer? I don't know, just throwing out an opinion. I still think the death of Markus was a pivotal moment even though it took 3 plus years to manifest itself as Chez pointed out.
