I honestly don't think we have been well-managed this season either on or off the pitch. I am also worried no money will be spent while takeover talks are ongoing. If we spent 30m on a forward and central defender, which we desperately need, the prospective owners might have view.

You on a self timer? We know you have an agenda but is there a need to keep repeating yourself?

Best news of the week, hurry up and eff off
-
So just to clarify one must never predict Saints losing and if you do, you are not a good fan?
-
Alfie Jones? One of the U21s?

Jesus do you hang on my every word? Just play the ball mate not the man it's much more fun. I stand by what I said. Getting in Europe was a pinnacle achievement and at the time I couldn't care less about the League Cup - that comes around every year. Then it was Europe or bust for me. Get over your petty point scoring, we all have different ways of supporting our club and different ways of working out how might be best to actually win things. Mine are different from yours. I probably am not right but to continually nit pick over a word here or a word there with the benefit of hindsight is tiresome. Award yourself a brownie point for your trawling and well done for pointing out I am in a hole.

Yep couldn't agree more

You must be a bit simple but if it helps I will spell it out again. When we were still in Europe I felt being eliminated from the League Cup would not necessarily be a bad thing as our squad wasn't big enough. Ambivalence I guess you could call it is what I felt. Now we are out of Europe then obviously I want us to win the LC and improve our poor record in this competition. Hopefully my explanation will enable you to resist rooting through old posts just so you can post snide remarks about everyone who has an opinion different to yours. To be so unpleasant and trying to be the forum clever clogs must be a time consuming and negative past-time for you. I do wonder what sort of life you lead away from your keyboard.

Same thing happened to Mane two years ago and worked to our advantage
-
For me it was a question of prioritising- which is basically what Puel does with rotation. It's not rocket science. But it seems it is to you?
-
You've lost me here, wtf?
-
So do I, so do I, so do I. But I am of the opinion we are not strong enough to overcome Liverpool over two legs. That is my honest opinion and surely it should not be considered heretic to say so? Before we were eliminated from Europa I chose to prioritise that competition which is why I made the comments you so ingeniously researched. And by the way it is also my honest opinion that it is pretty feeble when a club of our size get so dizzy about reaching a LC semi final. It should be much more of a regular occurrence and would mean internet dwellers like you wouldn't get so hyped and self-righteous.

God he really is vindictive

To be fair this is embarrassing in itself

You must spend ages trawling through people's posts just so you can sneer in hindsight. You seriously need to develop a life and a personality if its not too late. Alternatively why don't you just post your views on Saints and the football without forever trying to be the resident forum smart arse?

I had a strange dream last night in which I saw a Saints forward score a goal. I woke in a cold sweat.
-
Today's game has no influence on the debate? We rotated to ensure our players are rested but then earn a replay. Bit of a oxymoron, if I knew what that word meant.
-
Pedants like you should just keep away.
-
I think you need a break mate because in your desperation to defend Saints you are starting to contradict yourself. You are on a mission without a doubt but have become a parody.
-
You are not wrong but expectations have risen since Hoddle's time. I remember those 1-0s and at the time thinking well at least we won't be relegated. Now thanks partly to the PR from the Club we have illusions of grandeur. Are we wrong to have them? I assume me from your posts you think we are?
-
Your negativity drives me nuts
-
I am not saying anything
-
Sorry disagree - over a six match mini league it should not have come down to fine margins especially with a manager so "experienced" in Europe.
-
No you are quite entitled to an opinion as much as anyone but what I was trying to say was those that take a more "active" role in supporting them are bound to be a bit more emotionally involved and you should at least refrain from calling them wrist slitters or whatever. You are a senior fan roughly my age, you post sane thoughts but I get a little irked when you resort to belittling fans as bed wetters or whatever without considering their "support" might be a little more taxing than yours. You know what I am saying.
-
How many games do you go to each season? I am asking because I contend if you spent time, effort and finance actually physically following the team then you would be less blasé about what is going on. It's easy to call those you don't agree with "bed wetters" from the warmth and comfort of an arm chair.
