  1. I think you'll find he signed on a 2 year contract.
  2. Sums up very succinctly what I have been saying since the moment Lowe returned.
  3. No, since the sacking of Sturrock.
  4. 1-1, or perhaps 0-3.
  5. Official figure 15,301, but including a good 1,000 or more non-attendee season ticket holders.
  6. Probably because the Dutch 'revolutionary coaching concept' has also infested the youth. Isn't part of it that all teams throughout the club have to play the same way?
  7. Please, no-one else vote for Ron Davies. It will make a complete mockery of what has been a very interesting project if he is not in the 1st team. I'm voting for Marians.
  8. Just about perfect I'd say, but we need to fit Ossie in somewhere as well.
  9. The revolutionary coaching concept, surely!
  10. MacDougal never got goals in the top division. I liked Steve Moran (and his gorgeous wife at the time, Kim!) but I'd go for Pahars, hopefully to be partnered by Chivers.
  11. Brilliant!
  12. At our current points/game ratio, we'll get about another 17 points. Personally, I think it could be a lot less. Thanks Rupert!
  13. When the OS gets round to announcing it, will it be under the heading of 'Saints Reduce Striking Options'? Or perhaps they can combine it with the existing Jamie White announcement and put it under a revised heading of 'Saints swap one sort-of League 2 striking option for another'. I'm not knocking the two kids, just the crap that comes out of the OS!
  14. I think the second poster has answered the first poster's question very succinctly and accurately!
  15. There was a gross over-reaction after the Derby game. Never has so much been made of beating a team 1-0 that hasn't won for a year! A fit Thomas would have made a huge difference to the central defence, but based on what was happening early in the season to Stern, Dyer, Euell and Rudi, he would probably have hardly been picked if fit.
  16. We can have him on one wing and our former Millwall reserve on the other!
  17. A number of people over recent months have suggested that Andrew Cowan should replace Lowe as Chairman, as a way of starting to resolve the splits within the club (from shareholders down). Why is this? As far as I am aware, he has always been a close cohort/sidekick of Lowe and has been implicit in all the terrible decisions Lowe has taken in the last 5 years. He may be a more pleasant bloke than Lowe (not difficult!), but what else would his elevation achieve? Those more in ITK than me please explain.
  18. As the starter of this thread, I should add that, having had Watford mentioned, I do think they played football from the dark ages, both this season and last. They probably don't now that Boothroyd has gone, though.
  19. £20k per fortnight is also about another 1,000 on the gate. Easy to imagine our gates being 4-6k higher with another 2 or 3 decent players playing under a decent manager like Pearson. Then there's the extra store revenue, etc.
  20. Imagine how Stern must feel after his heroics last season then!
  21. As many of us said early in the season.
  22. Indeed. Same with most of the other more experienced players it seems.
  23. Exactly...exploiting our weaknesses. Doesn't make them a long ball or poor footballing side.
