German Airbus Crashed in French Alps

sorry guys, been busy. Yes, alluding to the possibility of a terrorist act? Easier to just crash an aircraft rather than crash into something in particular? My wife worked for the same airline as FF and she was trying to remember if the flight deck doors were keylocked or digilocked. But certainly at this stage nothing confirmed. -

Similar to a Chelsea fan I know; Been going to games since the 80's when they were sh!te, was a shareholder, follows them round Europe etc. Anyway, he has said it was great for the first couple of seasons winning games regularly, but after that the expectation changed and combined with rising ticket prices, realisation it was no longer 'your' club and a plaything for a trigger happy billionaire changed the whole experience of the club. Still, hasn't stopped him becoming an arrogant arse about it all. -
Some of our more 'learned' posters have openly slated Billy as second rate and not fit beyond the Championship. Like many outsiders did with Rickie. Personally I would have liked Billy to have been given a fair crack in the PL. We have been in dire need of a six yard striker in many games this season and Billy could have done that job. I'd like to know why, and who decided he wasn't up to it, and I get the impression Billy does too.

Tokes, seriously recommend Volvo XC60. Had one last year for 6 months. Practicallity with two nippers was unbeatable, D4 was a decent drive, got 900 miles out of a tank of diesel (using e-drive) though usually managed at least 750. Loads of kit on the SE and deals around £220 a month on lease.

Born on IoW, moved to Kingsworthy, remember kids at school either being Liverpool or Saints, chose Saints, got bought Rank Xerox kit, got taken by friends to first game at Dell vs Aston Villa in 1982 (lost 2-0) but that didn't matter by that time the die was cast. I have vague memories of being driven up and down the M3 by my dad to watch all the fans driving up to Wembley (must have been for the 1979 League Cup final, i'd have been too young for '76) and remember being amazed at all the scarfs hanging out the cars and coaches, banners hanging from the bridges etc. That probably swayed me away from the decision to support Liverpool at school.

Saints 2 Leicester 0 - Post Match Reactions

Great win. Just slightly disappointed that with Chelsea's result the best we can hope for is another runner-up place in the league at the end of the season :tonguefirmlyincheek: -
In 2012 Tiff was after dinner speaker at a work do in Leeds, he was on his way out the building with a couple of polite 'sorry must rush!' to a few people and as he passed me I loudly said 'Up the Saints, Tiff!' to which he stopped and had a chat for 20 minutes about all things Saints. He may say he's only a 'recent' supporter but he spoke with some real passion about the team and the journey we were going on at the time. Top man!

I like Stewart Lee's evaluation of the Paxmand - Brand interview; "It was like a chmpanzee throwing it's own excrement at a foghorn"

Wouldn't worry too much about any building contracts being in place. All the retailers are pretty happy to blow off a chunk of money in order to halt a store development. Better a million now than 18-20 million capital on a store that no longer meets strategy

If you are going to bottle, I recommend getting a "Little Bottler" tap (these guys are great and where I get my equipment from; Home-brew-online.com). You'll need to put it on your FV before you start but it means a no mess direct bottling from the FV plus it automatically leaves a gap at the top of the bottles to allow secondary fermentation. Oh, talking of which - as for being your first go when it comes to bottling I recommend carbonation drops over than trying to get brewing sugar into bottles.

I started last year and though using kits have tinkered by substituting sugars for spraymalts etc. There's some good kits for all levels, Woodfordes, Brew Buddy, Simply etc. So far after ten or so kits yet to make a bad batch, but the one advice I was given and stuck to is thoroughly sterilize everything! (And make sure it's rinsed after) Best thing was drinking all the beers to recycle the bottles for my brews. I use a mix of glass and plastic bottles and it makes no difference.

An ex boss of mine booked Razor for a corporate awards ceremony as after dinner speaker back in 2010. Big do, 200 odd attendees, male & female, fairly conservative audience. Let's just say my boss nearly lost his job over that decision!

I'm disappointed with what's going on (and i've tried to stay rational and dry at night), but whatever happens I feel sorry for my five and six year old boys who have become Southampton mad over the last two seasons and absorb every bit of Saints info they can get their hands on, repeating it parrot fashion back to me at what seems every opportunity. As a dad I was really pleased they chose Saints without the benefit of being taken to a match like I was to be hooked, especially as we live up north and they could quite easily have followed their mates with supporting United, City, Liverpool (and weirdly Chelsea). They so want a new shirt each this year having worn my old Rank Xerox Patrick shirts for last season and they love the stripes but I'll be damned if i'm forking out £80 of hard earned as tacit support for what's going on at the moment. Me, i'm stuck with Saints, however low or high the experience but I'm really struggling with whether I should start leading them a) towards one of the big boys to support to save them from abject disappointment that always seem to come with Saints or b) toward the local team (York) and take them to those games and let them start that relationship. Anyone else having similar thoughts?

Surely the England team's participation was a big waste of time?
