Seems the usual case of fans trying to see the best in a player cos the managers like him to me .. I don’t rate him at all tbh he’s supposed to be an attacking midfielder but he’s got literally zero good attributes . He’s not fast, can’t beat players , doesn’t create doesn’t score .. offers zero creativity really and is taking the place of players who could make a impact or be creative ..even if they like him for workrate and off the ball attributes it’s obviously not helping us a lot as we are doing shit. id take Gaston and boufal over him all day at least they had it in the locker to make things happen .. moi is just average at basically everything and you hardly even notice him

There’s things I’m liking with Jones.. especially his flexibility with tactics and formations.. its a breath of fresh air after Ralph who was very stubborn.. like Jones said he switched to three at the back to counter city’s changes and he’s used a ton of formations already I like the thought of having a manager who responds to things and can switch things up depending on the opposition, will make us less predictable.. also find him quite honest and talks a lot of smart stuff.. you can’t really blame him for some of his answers as the pressure from fanbase was leading to it.. I think he’s here for the long term and this is a project Rasmus believes in

Yep I find it quite sad that our fanbase have turned on Jones so fast and that it even got to the point he’s having to answer he doesn’t think his football is shit .. I mean give the guy a chance he’s come into a team with a lot of problems and a losing mentality drilled into them.. and he’s getting all this flack after a few games.. whilst Ralph had excuse after excuse made for him for years on end.. bit of a witch hunt really. all this is probably down to Jones coming from Luton whilst Ralph came from Leipzig .. the brittish manager has it hard these days every one wants some foreign sexy manager from abroad. feel happy for nj two wins on the bounce two new quality looking additions and hopefully a striker hopefully we kick on now.

Thing is that’s what we done in the summer when we should of signed a striker and look how that panned out.. if we can get Orsic who had a great World Cup surely there is a striker better then what we have willing to join ? I think it’s probably more down to us trying to get deals on the cheap. Wasn’t there a fan forum with semmens once where he was pointing towards the times we paid 20 m and saying it’s not the way to go ?

For those who go haven’t seen him he has that explosive factor that you rarely get with players like Henry and mbappe.: insanely fast and looks scary when running at players after the match vs Italy I thought he was destined to be Belgiums next big thing and end up at a Liverpool or something.. This would probably be my dream signing so chances of it happening are slim lol

This! it should be the absolute priority and needs to be done as fast as possible .. che is missing chances pretty much every game where if he could have put us in front like vs forest could have totally changed the complexion of the match .. we keep finding ourselves behind and him not taking chances is a huge part of that.. tbh we should be going all out to get the striker before worrying about anything else.. (I do like the look of our signings though) not sure on moffi or Beto myself but if we got ings I’m convinced we are staying up.. we need to get the man for the job here not bargain basement as this will be one of the most important signings we can ever make.

I thought McKennie was probably the best player on the pitch in USA vs Netherlands, looked great at winning the ball and driving forward with it and nearly every time he did it started a decent usa attack..he is powerfull and gets you up the pitch which is something we lack actually think he would be the perfect solution to our midfield . A powerfull mobile physical mf who can drive forward with ball is something we could really do with

His skillset looks more of a number ten really by watching the videos the way he dribbles is almost kaka like … and majority of videos are feints and dribbles .. is he really a proper cm ?

Gotta say he looks amazing from the videos .. absolutely superb dribbling with pace and glides past players.. quite a rare skill set for a central mid riquelme with pace

I also think this good second striker pony people like to excuse him with is rubbish as well.. think of lambert, or Pellè they could hold the ball up and bring others into play too the difference was they can actually hit the target too. Danny ings carried adams and would have done the same if playing next to Shane long this striker situation is getting absolutely retarded now. Orsic looks a fantastic signing and exactly what we need.. I agree with the poster who said it gives off dusan vibes, looks like he has a hell of a strike on him when cutting in and has already produced at top level in Europe against the likes of Chelsea,spurs and West Ham..this actually looks a signing for a top half side I’m hoping we play a three up front now Orsic on the left edozie on the right and new striker in the middle.. I’d be happy to drop che personally just don’t think his graft and hold up play offsets him missing big chances every game. Jackson seems a weird one, looks more of a athletic wide player then a striker and I’m not sure he would be any better then Orsic or edozie there., and doesn’t look like the answer to our striker problems. Not quite sure what we see in him if true

Isn’t that always the saintsweb way? the players who can’t get in the team are always shit. even edozie was being talked down as not being ready before Jones started playing him from the start.. mara is another one we don’t really know how good he is because he’s been mostly on the bench.. I’d be very very surprised if he’s not better then Adam Armstrong though

I might be in the minority here but I’m happy to give Nj a chance theres already a few promising signs, one of them being he has already fully unleashed Edozie something Ralph seemed unwilling to do bar the odd sub cameo.. Jones already has edozie looking our main attacking threat and he looks great. i would also say our attacking looks slightly better under Jones there was some nice interplay vs Fulham again a lot of it going through edozie but also maybe due to less Ralphball sideways passing crap and more direct not having a lot of possession can sometimes be a good thing as you get more space on the break. Also think he sounds more truthfull then RH who a lot of the time sounded like a club mouthpiece. With bullshit like he didn’t want a big squad etc.. Jones sounds more like he will say if the players don’t suit which puts more pressure on the board luke koeman used to.. End of the day he’s here now do we really want to make a tough job even harder by putting a ton of pressure on the man? Let’s get behind him for now !

Tbh not really blown away with watching some videos of him.. I feel quite on the fence with him, wouldn’t say his shooting technique looks anything to write home about. I know it’s the championship but I think gyokeres looks a lot more impressive from video scouting 😕

Agree a lot with this could also be due to formation Imo .. we always used a two man cm which can leave us a bit exposed especially when the cm is as lightweight as ours.

Would take him back as a option .. but not if it means taking him instead of new signings ..we need a striker. And a creative attacker.. don’t mind bringing him back but not at the expense of either of those signings
