Ralph needs to go I think, all parts of our game look broken at the minute. Boring pass back football that creates hardly any chances, poor defensively poor tactics and player choices.. sure we have suffered a lot of bad luck through injuries, but he’s still making weird team selections which 95 percent of people can see are not great , like continuing to play Redmond over better options up front or on the wing bednarek at right back over djenepo or even Stephens who has at least more experience there.. so the man is not helping himself really. but this is a guy who preferred long to gabbiadini and Redmond over boufal so there has always been signs of madness majority of the season we have struggle to really create goals from open play ings has been great for us but he can’t score from no service and if it wasn’t for him or jwp setpieces we have nothing really .. all these people saying we play great football under Ralph I’m not really seeing it.

I’d say Ralph has to carry the can for poor mentality and makeup throughout the squad, he’s choosing the 4222 formation and the way we play and has been here long enough to ask for players needed to use this style or try something else He’s made some decisions like freezing out and selling gabbiadini and preferring the high work rate types like long I would argue boufal is also a lot more capable of creating then the likes of djenepo and Redmond also. But here we are. I like Ralph as much as the next man but it’s his team his players and his tactics now and is down to him to make us hard to beat

I think we do have quite a lot of good players in our team we are maybe a couple of players short of being a good side (for Ralph’s formation anyway which is debatable at the moment if it’s a good formation or plan anyway) but imo to play this 4222 we really do need a couple of very decent creative attacking players to play in the ten roles Armstrong is decent but Redmond and djenepo are rarely creating anything and then the strikers get little service..+ jwp and romeau don’t really have the pace to get up the pitch and create too much either.. but overall the team really shouldn’t be this weak we have some decentish cbs.. fullbacks are fine especially kwp cm jwp romeau and diallo are fine for us and ings is top drawer up front. So maybe a decent partner for ings and more creativity at number ten is needed but I’m not totally buying that our team/ players are a awful bunch and no one could do better with them ?

Hmmm I think Adams for the useless Redmond and maybe Forster deserved a crack at the first team now

It still annoys me that Redmond kept boufal from having a decent run in the team.. never rated Redmond he’s always been utter rubbish if you ask me- brain dead player who suffers huge concentration losses switches off and gets confused and loses the ball or makes bad decisions and has zero end product.. whilst boufal was hugely talented could beat players for fun and had all the technique in the world it actually might have worked out if we had a manager who put his arm round him and believed in him but instead we he prefers league one Redmond

This tbh 19 year old starts acting billy big balls and wondering why he’s not in side over players like jwp romeau and diallo. Then gets a oppurtunity and goes and does this and we end up with a 9-0 hammering .. perfectly understandable why people are pissed

King is actually more of a winger/number ten isn’t he?? so saying his goal record is a bad as longs probably not true. could probably cover us at both number ten and striker partnering ings though so may not be a terrible idea especially if Theo is out for a while

Tricky situation now even if we do rate him. not a lot of point making room for him if he’s not gonna stay or sign new contract anyway? need to sort something out if we see him as the next big thing

We need to try and go back to being a counter attack team that wins the ball and breaks fast( bar set pieces) it’s the only way we score.. we can not break dowh teams who have time to organise

This I’ve always like jwp’s full back displays had zaha in his pocket.. Grealish would take valery apart jwp to do a job on him

Damn I was hoping we would be in for him.. upgrade in Redmond and djenepo imo.. has decent pace and ability could turn into a real player

Wanting a 20 m release clause is a joke.on ability he should be worth around 80m would think we would get more then that release clause now or in the summer

We struggle a lot when a team has the lead or is very organised, we seem to lack any guile to create chances against an organised side second half was another example of this.. I do think there was some positive signs from lndulu tonight .. should probably be ahead of Shane and tella now.. looks to have decent attributes and looked quite sharp tonight

Very strange as he seems to be another romeau/diallo type holding mf looks quite good but it’s gonna be hard enough to fit diallo into the side at present so seems we are already strong in this area

Great result and nobody better to beat them the scousers, first half I thought we were total class. But gotta say the second we were very very negative and couldn’t hold the ball at all. Seemed to take to long and were playing in fear and it was inviting wave after wave of Liverpool posession.. walker peters Stephens and bednarek all were great though. Diallo too in the first half

We do struggle to break down sides who don’t give a lot of space .. our game works better when we are not the team with majority of posession imo, quick transitions.. i think overall our team is pretty strong now though another striker would help and we could probably do with another upgrade on number ten positions especially if it meant no djenepo and Redmond.. same goes for long in the striker upgrade we have zero depth up front so it’s hard to change the game.

Yes this is one of the things I like about him.. he’s good at recieving the ball with his back to goal in the hole spins around and he’s away.. often causing fouls in good areas. also his pace looked pretty rapid today

Bit harsh imo our good run was with him in the side. Him and Theo are our best number ten partnership., i thought he should have been introduced earlier today, was pretty clear djenepo was not cutting it. Last two games he hasn’t started 0 goals for us 🤔

This even Adams to me doesn’t look like being a prolific scorer.. has has some nice parts to his games like strength hold up play and bringing others into play with some nice through balls but doesn’t look a natural finisher like ings. And after him we are left with kids or long or playing Theo up front.. the latter is probably the better option but then weakens us in number 10

Don’t mind long starting this tbh. i did say in the summer another striker should be a priority in case ings got injured.. let’s be honest tella and lndulu haven’t really even had the presence to touch the ball a lot so far.. at least long is combative and makes his presence known.. also with Adams strong hold up play he has a bit of speed to maybe get on the end of some of the moves.. walcott could have been a option I guess but using him up front probably also weakens the number ten position where he’s playing well

Think he’s been really good myself he’s at least playing better then the other number tens.. drops into holes and finds space well and causes problems when in these pockets. a lot better then Redmond or djenepo for me.has strengthened the first team so is a good signing

Still think it was a mistake to get rid of boufal over Redmond and djenepo..these two are just not good enough and would be easily replaced,Walcott is like a breath of fresh air in comparison. agree it would have probably been a better move to put Walcott up front for ings tough ask for tella and nlundulu to come into this game and change it where was Armstrong today ? amazing how much vestergaard has turned it around this season, gone from joke figure laughing stock to a absolutel colossus looking like we have another world class center back on our hands at the moment

Our game doesn’t really suit the slow possession based football.. we look much much better when hitting teams direct and fast without giving them time to set up.. we played a bit too much of this in the first half and the sending off made the game go even more this way.... thought some of Adams’s build up play tonight was superb though he’s getting good at holding the ball up and releasing players.. Theo was good again he drops into some nice pockets and can then beat players on the turn which can open up space, nice finish also.. ings has looked a bit off the pace the last couple of games be good to get him back to his normal sharpness.

Same team again for me.. getting a consistent first team has worked well for us, plus arsenal are totally there for the taking so don’t want us dropping points by changing things and resting players

Think that was probably Adams best performance for us, interesting to see how he does now his confidence should be rising. romeau showing a lot of the doubters to be totally wrong. Always find it weird how posters tend to make out a player is utter crap just because he is not starting. To be honest romeau has been pretty solid in most games he has played over the last two seasons.. deserves his run in the side. redmond man of the match really? i just don’t rate this guy personally.. struggles to beat his man, loses possession quite often when trying to beat anyone. Has no football brain, carries the ball to long when could pass and his shots are usually wayward. Only thing he really brings is a bit of pace and can carry the ball at speed occasionally, overall though I think we need to upgrade on him soon.
