  1. Might be on my own here but I'd still rather we just gave boufal a run and concentrated on plugging the more important hole like striker centre backs etc, we also have Armstrong who still looks to have decent potential in a attacking role. I'm quite convinced If we gave boufal a big run in the team he would never at least equal to Redmond and I think his ceiling is much higher.. better at dribbling and beating a man, better shot better technique in general. Would really like to see what he could do under a manager like Ralph .
  2. Thing is Ralph pretty much said that he only let Cedric go, so as not to block the path for valery.. so seems a bit strange. Personally I just want to see the gaps plugged before anything else . We need a centre forward and we need a cb.
  3. This djenopo guy does look exciting, crazy some crazy skills and step overs in that vid but looks a bit raw on end product from what I've seen.dont mind us bringing in him or lookman etc at all, but striker and cb should be the priority. We still have boufal coming back hopefully who could be like a new signing and will certainly be better then moi
  4. Speaking of the rotting in reserves theory.. if we had have played tough and just started to apply this and showed him we were the ones with the power, what possibly could vvd have done about this other then to stop acting like a b itch? Serious question?
  5. it still drives me mad why we actually sold vvd to Liverpool. after the tapping up and his strop thats basically rewarding his and their behaviour.. in a way surely we had the power with him signing a 6 yr deal. end of the day he couldn't have gone on strike and had a hissy fit for 5 years. and we could have easily told him you can go but just not to Liverpool also.
  6. still think we should not have sold him to Liverpool. its like rewarding them for tapping up.
  7. It probably is harsh that McCarthy has been dropped, was our player of the season last year. So for us to go and sign another keeper and then bench him must leave him a bit miffed.. don't think gunn has been exceptional or anything either bar the Chelsea game.
  8. surely we can get Augustin for 20m- 25. considering he's not playing any football for them.? we see how it works with our own players that don't play first team, we usually have to take less money if we want to sell. tbh che Adams will probably also cost 20 m+ now especially with the amount of clubs looking at him. I still think jka looks a lot better so really hoping we go for this.
  9. he looks good, but isn't he more of a dribbling winger? think our main priority is to find a great striker
  10. Augustin looks perfect for me seriously hope we make a move for him, looks to have amazing pace and first touch, and looks like he could potentially be world class. Adams on the other hand although prolific this season his finishing looks a bit scruffy in comparison. His pace still makes him interesting, but im not sure how he steps up from champ to prem, could be another beckford
  11. id quite like to see a 433 with lemina hojbjerg and Armstrong together. all have the energy to get up and down, then a front three of Redmond ings and sims. a bit harsh on jwp and romeau. but I could see this working quite well whilst also not being over run in midfield and whilst also giving plenty of options to attack
  12. Not really sure about lemina any more, on his day he can be awesome like the palace game last season, but he just seems very inconsistent, prone to giving ball away trying to be clever, and the west game his passing was shocking. Since he's been out our current midfield three are working well together.. and creatively Armstrong is probably better
  13. when both were getting similar game time last year, there stats were pretty much the same, I think part of Redmond's improvement is also down to him having a solid run in the side, which neither him or boufal really had last year. think you could argue neither end product is exceptional so far, but boufal looks more capable beating a player to me. I think personally if he had the 35 starts Redmond has had this season he would have probably contributed as much as readers myself. either way huge improvement on elyounoussi so would be a upgrade on current squad
  14. even though last year him and Redmond who u love were on about the same level? why does boufal not deserve the same chance?
  15. yeah I was thinking around 30-35 its a tough one though, as 30-40 million would probably get you a real quality winger from other leagues.
  16. Out of interest what do u guys think would be redmonds current value/price tag ?
  17. Thing is Redmond has had a full unchallenged run in the side this year he's had 32 games where he plays nearly all game every game, and he's managed just 3 goals and 3 assists you could argue he's looking better this season as he's about the only player we have that can carry the ball beat players and has pace, but still statistically 3 goals and three assists is not all that for our so called most attacking player and creator.. My argument for boufal would be if he had the same 32 full games do u really think he wouldn't match redmonds 3 goals and three assists and also be capable of carrying the ball and beating players?.. personally I think he definitely would
  18. I actually think Ralph needs to have a word with Redmond in the same way he did jwp.. try to make him more aggressive in 50/50s and when challenging for the ball, sometimes he can be a bit too nice and lightweight.. it was evident yesterday when long went off, Redmond just couldn't hold up the ball or get control of it( not just basing it on against Liverpool) if prowsey can do it I see no reason Redmond can't bring out the nasty side
  19. Why oh why did we overcommit on that corner.. was looking good for a point.. Hojbjerg was absolutely superb first half.. I actually think when Redmond went up front we lost major control of the game. He doesn't seem strong enough to hold the ball up. Probably one of the best games I've seen from vestergaard too. All in all we done pretty well but disappointing a couple of moments cost us
  20. Should be good for us that ward prowse is having the England carrot dangled in front of his face..keep up the club form and you can get in next time too and maybe get more time.
  21. my point is we shouldn't really bash if we thought it was a good idea and was hailing the signings ourselves.. the likes of carillon fair enough. I was super excited about the likes of Osvaldo Gaston and boufal in particular. but I don't really blame anyone for them not coming off as to me they looked ambitious.
  22. Regarding people getting excited over elyounoussi, I think that happens all the time around here with everyone we are about to sign or get linked with, vestergaard, boufal you name it whoever we sign is amazing even though majority of posting claiming this has probably never seen them play in a proper game... what I also find amusing is then when they player people were excited about doesn't work out people are quick to point the finger at our terrible recruitment in hindsight.. I mean in a way how can you blame if you were super excited and celebrating the signing?
  23. Problem with him is he doesn't seem to have any awareness, holds on to the ball to long.. doesn't seem to realise when he has a man on him, try's to run through players when he hasn't got the pace to do it..maybe he's used to playing weak opposition where he can get away with it but none of his play is working here.
  24. Without really wanting to highlight flaws with redmond, who has been good this season, if you actually look at his stats 3 goals and two assists this season in 30 prem games, and that was pretty much all starts and being our main creative player.. I find it hard to believe that boufal wouldn't be capable of the same given a 30 game run, anyway he is a million times better then elyounoussi so is worth bringing him back even if only to push el down the pecking order and strengthen options
  25. What I'd like to see in the summer. 1. Bring back boufal. Think it was a mistake to loan him out this season. Would be good to have someonee else with pace and ability to beat a man, if redmond can turn it around I see no reason boufal couldn't do the same.. could be like a new signing, deserves a fair chance under Ralph.. 2 Augustin. Looks so pacy and with the technique to back it up, Ralph knows him well and he's not getting the game time at Leipzig.should be ideal signing for us but if we can't get him a striker should be priority anyway. 3 another cb. I don't think the 3 of bednarek yosh and vest are doing too badly, but if the reason Ralph thinks we need three at the back is because of lack of quality.. then we should probably try to get another decent cb. Actually think these 3 additions could turn us around quite a lot we are looking fine in midfield and wing back positions are looking ok too bar maybe cover for valery.. but signing another one could block his progress.
