  1. i worry a bit about alcacers physique for the prem not really built or pacy
  2. Agree with that. To be honest I quite rate sturridge when fit, would be a nice pacy option for us
  3. Agree, think there's is way too much harshness on boufal, in my view I think he was becoming really frustrated with not being able to get a run of games going in the side, you could see this with the west brim goal his celebration was see this is what I can do if you pick me ! But in my opinion he just wanted to play. As for the run in with Hughes probably a simular case of getting fed up of being left out again, yes it's not very professional but you can kinda see why he was frustrated being a talented player stuck on the bench all the time or the first one dragged off., I doubt people will agree on here as it seems if your not playing your not good enough attitude goes, but I don't think we done enough to get the best out of him, Same goes for gabbiadini, super talented striker in a struggling team yet for most of the season stuck on the bench or brought on at a time where it's usually to late for him to make much impact, surprised he hasn't become frustrated in the same way as boufal but really hope he gets a good first team run going this year, although I worry as Hughes was preferring long in his time here so far.
  4. Begs the question when are we going to start spending food and drink money on players? I'm not by any means saying transfer fee guarentes success but feels like even the newly promoted teams are spending more then us now. Likes of West Ham starting to spend 30m plus a couple of seasons ago don't think that there was that money clubs outside top 6 that was willing to spend more then us, Everton maybe but feels like we are standing still whilst other teams ambitions grow
  5. Possible but we did start with Redmond and elyounoussi wide vs Derby doesn't neccasiatily mean we need to drop the three at the back to have the attacking wide players can play variations of 343 etc also a bit like Belgium formation with hazard and martens..Hughes seems quite flexible so far so would still be good to have more strength here
  6. This needing players out for us to buy brings me back to my former point about buying gunn, if we cannot get rid of Forster it seems like we are wasting a transfer here to bring in a goalkeeper who probably sits on bench majority of the year bar injury. I'm not saying gunn is bad or Fraser is great as number two just we have bigger holes to plug elsewhere.. like another winger especially now boufal is gone.: another good defensive signing as nearly all of our centre backs are pants, and would also be looking at another striker too before signing back up keepers.
  7. Wolves sign moutinho for 5m
  8. Wolves sign moutinho for 5m ?
  9. Van dijk, boufal, Carrillo tadic surely on more wages then Armstrong elyounoussi vestergaard and gunn?
  10. Not entirely true as he had two goals and two assists. Let's be honest the whole team was suffering offensively Redmond only 1 goal 3 assists also. I still consider us weaker as it's another option we now don't have
  11. With boufal and tadic out you gotta say we are looking a lot weaker in this area, we don't really know how good elyounoussi will be yet as an example every one was raving about boufal when we signed him.really hope we get a decent signing to replace boufal now
  12. Most concerning thing was when Hughes came in he chose to use long over gabby, this could well be that he just wanted fighters at the end of the season that would put in a hundred percent, don't get me wrong in some games long played well and his energy and pace can be a asset. But don't want gabbiadini to lose out to him as I think gabbi can be our best striker by far if we play to his strength
  13. Great post agree 100 percent, also think he needs through balls to run onto to get the best out of him or ball to feet, not just hopefull crosses into the box. This was very rarely the service he got last year
  14. Hope he stays also, prefer him to Redmond any day of the week
  15. The key is having a manager that has the brains to get the best of him.. gabbiadini has quality movement and thrives off of throughballs, whilst the majority of our build up play was wingbacks overlapping and getting a cross in, I really think gabbiadini can be a hell of a player with the right service but we can not play him like a giroud or pelle type and expect results
  16. How about ballotelli? Seems to have all the attributes fast powerful and doing pretty well in France? Also batshuayi or Abraham would be good
  17. Would rather have Carrillo back
  18. Eh? But McCarthy is our first team goal keeper ? Gunn only improves our first team if A: he gets selected ahead of McCarthy or B:McCarthy gets injured the rest of the time he is just a bench squad player do is not improving the first team just adding better strength to the squad!
  19. Agree we really need another attacking wideplayer or creative player, I'm still not sure on this window Gunn Is a backup keeper so doesn't really improve the first team, Armstrongs main position at Celtic was a box to bid midfielder that makes good late runs and can score goals but again we have lemina hojbjerg and romeau so seems more of a squad player unless being used in a attacking role? El younoussi could be very good but if losing tadic and Redmond and only him in I'm not sure that improves the first team much either. Vestergaard does improve us but we could still do with another cb as let's face it all of our cbs were not great last season .
  20. Bit frustrating Fulham come up and smash us on spending like that
  21. Isn't Armstrong more likely to play as a box to box centre midfielder ? Looks more like a lemina with goals to me then ultra creative. I'm not sure he goes streight into the side personally, think he could be a squad player to fight for places with lemina hojbjerg and Romeau.
  22. Fair post, to be honest I'm not against the signing of gunn per se, maybe he turns out to be the best keeper we have had since niemi certainly sounds promising. It's just I wanna see the weak links in the first team replaced and the holes plugged so if it was a choice of getting in shaqiri/sisto or gunn or another centre back along with vestergaard I'd be happier as it increases first team strength whilst gunn may not even play one premiership game next season. Anyway hopefully we are in the position where our goalkeeper isn't relied on to be player of the season this time and maybe we will still strengthen further in the positions needed
  23. Just think I'd rather the money was spent on upgrading the first team, Lille upgrading on Redmond or one of the centre backs before we start worrying about just in case backup keepers. Forster hasn't always been terrible and we got by with him as first choice for much of last three seasons so no don't really think it would be a total nightmare
  24. Not a smart move imo.. why not use the money to upgrade on Redmond or on another central defender as well as vestergaard Forster seems fine as a number two as long as he's happy to stay and fight for it
  25. If that's the case where does elyounoussi play?
