what makes you think ralph isn't just towing the line ? do u really think he's gonna come out and speak out against his employers saying what a mess our squad is and how we absolutely hundred percent needed replacements? he is basically the coach he isn't in charge of the finances, if he's told there is no money for signings then he will most likely speak to the media in the way that that is the plan!

its probably more that he was our only Real experienced right back before ralph started playing Valery and now we are relying fully on inexperienced kids in that position its a bit like loaning out ings gabbi Austin and long and relying on obafemi and barnes up front

well he had 87% pass completion? so are you sure? looked so comfortable with his touch, bringing ball out from the back and passing. to me quite pacy when he ventures also

maybe age wise, but with the talk of the price being around the 40m mark originally he must be a small tree thats already started turning beautifull. also Ralph saying how he knows how fans like big signings. but for us this isn't the way- JKA would surely have to smash our transfer record.. by the way I really hope I am wrong here and would be over the moon if we sign him but I think Adams sounds more like the type of signing we will go for

He looks absolutely class. but I'm really no expecting much ambition from us after reading ralphs comments “There is a small tree. We give water to it and try to let it grow and, if it is a beautiful tree, then another one will come and take it. translates to me that we will pretty much rely on youth and trying to do things on the cheap and the ones who turn out great say goodbye..

to be honest I'm not sure I really believe this talk that Ralph wants a smaller squad or the squad is to big, I think maybes he is just being a club mouthpiece with this talk.. I mean what manager wouldn't want to have more options ? its just common logic. the only way that I can see this being a good thing in trimming the squad down is if its being done to bring a couple of quality additions, other wise we are probably better off having more backup

theres a novel idea. sell a quality player and try and replace him with equal quality instead of dipping into the bargain basement. why couldn't we think of that ?

wasn't the Ralph Krueger masterplan/excuse for selling big names a couple of years ago that we needed a bigger roster so sell some big names and use cash to get bigger squad.. now here we are giving away players on loan, and not really looking at buying

Strange way of looking at it, Liverpool won a champions league with djimi traore does that make him a great player? Or would it mean we should all rate long if we were having a few good results with him in the side ? I'm just judging on what I have seen from him individually in the games.. Not really getting him myself. Still yet to see anything from him going forward and for this position it's part of the job. Don't agree with him looking no worse the Cedric either, Cedric is faster better going forward better on the ball, and a better defender.. only thing valery may be better on is heading the ball ?

think tyreke along with obafemi look our best youngsters at the moment. some great end product on a couple of curved balls in especially the ball he played that was perfect for long.. he did more attacking wise in 45 mins then Valery has in all his games put together.. I actually think he maybe even better if used in the Redmond or Armstrong positions as back up to those two.we are short for back up in these positions so why not?

trouble is thats what got us into the mess we are in now, sell the best players and the Poundland replacements don't come off, we were never gonna keep striking gold with the mane's and van dijks we bought cheap when replacing lovren and lallana etc..

does that mean we are open to selling hojbjerg to a elite club ?

Main problems seem to be he is too slow both physically and thinking wise.. like benji says above he tries to play like a fast winger but has no acceleration.. other times he just is too slow in his decision making and needs way to much time on the ball

Like the look of Johnson .. some real quality on a couple of his balls in.. hopefully could be a new redmond type with end product

Sure was, shocking the amount of hate he gets on here. Talked ml into buying the club and we did nothing but improve season after season with him in charge..took no shi from anyone, and I actually loved his ruthlessness. Honestly think we would have made a champions league if he had stars we were close and poch would have given us longer too

fantastic post. agree with pretty much all of that. sometimes a bit too much getting carried away on here when the result goes our way, and all the not good players are suddenly praised. it was a good result against Leicester considering our injuries and the sending off. but the second half was still a total park the bus excercise with us hardly being able to have any of the ball. we played Leicester like they were Man City and got the result

he looks great on youtube.. boufal type skills and looks to have a really powerful physique too

Would be more concerned with striker at the moment.. we only really have ings as a decent option now and he has fitness worries..long is long and Austin needs it on a plate.. Me personally I don't want Armstrong out of the side.. really good player imo and it's nice to have someone with a bit of intelligence in the attack, as even though redmond is vying for our player of the year his decision making can still suck

I was reading through the Brentford forum on him, a lot of posters saying he was the best to come through the youth squad in their lifetime.. a lot of posters also thought he was a cert for going to a top 6 side. even a booby Moore comparison.. he's also meant to have pace. so sounds pretty interesting

feel sad about this one. I always had high hopes for him, just thought he didn't really get a run in the team going and his confidence in full flow.. also very annoying losing him when we have the dynamic duo of Austin and long getting games over him..its a bit like having elyounoussi start when we could have had boufal.. anyway, guess will have to give Ralph the benefit of the doubt on this as I do believe he will be great for us, lets just hope we actually bring in a decent replacement.. all the best in Italy Manolo and thanks for everything

Don't think it helped us that lookman had a cracking game in the cup at the weekend. Silva sounds like he wants to keep him. Shame as he looks very fast and skilfull.. Poulsen rumour sounds very interesting though to me.. sounds like he would really suit Ralph's pressing game works very hard good in the air and good at linking play
