  1. Absolutely this - if the club give this charlatan any more "winnable" games, it's game over.
  2. GO NOW! FAO SAINTS BOARD - You are useless. FAO NATHAN JONES - Go now. Okay, thanks, bye.
  3. I had to mute it, that guy's voice!!!!
  4. I work closely with data, I understand data, but xG is a complete load of crap. According to that stat, Man City (with rounding) SHOULD have won 2-1. They didn't, that wasn't the score. So a retrospective at what was expected is a load of rubbish. You are supposed to take learnings from data, what can you learn from that? "You SHOULD have scored" and "you SHOULD have hit the target" - brilliant. I think the qualitative data from staff and fans grumbling in the stands is enough to form that view. Data for data's sake. There are examples of it everywhere. Look at a shampoo advert; "loved by 89% of people" ... "note: 89% of 63 people" ... WTF is that? That's not a rep sample. Who are these people, what's their demographics, are they a broad enough spectrum and what would give more significance? 1000, 2000, probably 20000. Anyway, I'm ranting now, your fault. Bloody xG my arse.
  5. This is what worried me too. Look, I am not a football manager, or a coach, but, as a fan of the game you can see the patterns and what style the team has, we can all see that. I didn't see any pattern today or objectives. I saw chaos and complete ineptitude. After 5 weeks of having the team to drill, this is not acceptable.
  6. Agreed! Bad choice. It was a cheap choice, portrayed as being "daring". F**k off. It's a sh*t, cheap choice. Sorry Nathan and family - seems like a nice guy, but this isn't going to work out, probation should be ended early. After 5 weeks of having (nearly) the entire team to yourself to shape and drill, the last two matches show it won't work.
  7. Horrific. No soul, no talent, limited and simple tactics, just all round limited ability. They deserve to go down.
  8. Confident video, I like the approach, style and caveats. Expect a blood and thunder performance against Liverpool (which Klopp will moan about) and then the break sounds ideal to work with everyone, including staff. Yeah, let's see. Good luck Nathan, look forward to seeing Saints in 2023!
  9. No idea who the guy is, what he does, what his teams are like, or anything, so I'll just wait and see. I do suspect though that if he'd had a job for a Serie B team and had them near the top and been called Jose Netesto or something, fans might be more 'excited'? Just a hypothesis.
  10. A very nice second half that. Like most, team news looked ominous and Arsenal's start looked like a 9-0, but fair play to the team, they actually battled, properly and pulled that off. That's all I think most of us want, a proper battling performance. Lavia, Bella-Kotchap, Livramento, Walker-Peters all out - some decent young players to come back in, but big shout to Lyanco.
  11. I have a spare couple of hours now, where can I watch this impending sh*t show?
  12. Good point and yes - f**ked lungs, so I'm in the vulnerable group.
  13. i have my 4th on Tuesday, so yes is the answer.
  14. The quality of journalism is bad, but this one is a new low ... Fans of the show took to Twitter to compare her with the star, with one saying: "Anyone else seeing a bit of Kerry Katona in blue? #NakedAttraction" A second added: "Blue looks like Kerry Katona #NakedAttraction." Though another fan disagreed and said: "No." 🤣
  15. Saints will win. It'll be an awesome performance, pundits on MoTD will lap it up, Hassenhuttl will be lauded, Saints will stick with him and then lose the next 7.
  16. Agreed. Sadly I couldn't vote for this Conservative government. Not because they are reckless, but because they are traditional low tax conservatives which has no place in a modern society. The markets are telling them that, they need to wake up and listen. On the flip, I cant vote for the Lib Dems as they're too odd and Labour as they still have some bonkers types in their ranks as you say. Imagine if Corbyn was anywhere near number 10 with the current Russia fiasco - Putin would be a guest here, you could guarantee that. In fact Russia generally have a lot to answer for in managing to manipulate the social media fools who lap it all up. But I digress. Who would I vote for? Right now, the Green party and that's saying something.
  17. Jesus wept!! "they" And yes, "they" did, by racists. I first came across the term in 1999 when I started work for a multi-national, who had many contractors from India (Wipro) working with us. I had a chat one day with a Wipro employee about the term as I heard someone say it and was informed it was a racist insult used from people (for example) in India to refer to people of South Asian ethnicity born in the UK. A "racist insult", that was 1999. Not now. Racist more than 20 years ago, racist and completely wrong now. She does not have a point. The bloke is a brit, with different heritage to you and I, he does not need to be insulted. Now, if you want to pick apart his mini budget, I'm all for doing that, on a professional level, without mentioning anything to do with colour.
  18. Bloody hell, very sad, condolences to his family, proper Boro and Saints legend.
  19. First team please, full squad, let them gel, f**k giving others a go.
  20. Exactly this, cracking player who looks at home in this league. Loved how he put himself about and made himself known. All the new signings look a bit no nonsense, I like.
  21. Everything is a CRISIS with a WARNING. AMBER WARNING issued due to CRISIS of lack of loo roll. RED WARNING issued due to CRISIS over toothpaste. Whatever. The media (and in fact this country) is f**king dull. Meanwhile in the current AMBER WARNING for the HEATWAVE CRISIS, my lounge is still 29c at 11pm. But I'm not dead.
  22. The more I think about it, the more I think North Korea would be nice. Everyone has the same house, same car, same food, no one complains and gets on with their lives. Most of the problems now are down to capitalism (see the cost of living thread), jealously and wanting to complain about everything. Maybe I'm getting old, but f**k me wouldn't life be easier if we all just got on with the same robotic actions every day, emerging from the same house with the same car?
  23. 100% I signed up with Bulb years ago because they used "green energy". What a load of codswallop we've been suckered into. This whole industry has been allowed to run riot for too long. What annoys me the most is that the stupid BBC will go on about turning off your microwave and turning down the heating a degree, but actually the majority of the price rises have come in the form of the daily charges. Do you see mention of that? F**king no. You can save all the energy you want but you'll still be clobbered. Cartel w*nkers.
  24. The fact that these c***s can come out and say "we need to reward our shareholders" sums up what an utter load of bollocks this is. The whole thing is a massive cartel. I'm more and more becoming anti-capitalist and I'm certain I'm not alone.
  25. Nearly f*ck all points for about half a year, time for Hassenhuttl to go. Bye. Footballers aren't sentimental so why should the fans be? He's done, busted flush. New management team, 6 (?) new players, same sh*t.
