  1. Morgan is the only I think who will be off (from the list of "expected players to leave" in the summer) - it's hard, but I do think the guy deserves to push on with some Champions League football, wouldn't begrudge him it at all. Although I'd love to see him in Europe with Saints and end up having a testimonial, but hey ho.
  2. I think he's showing he's under more pressure at Spurs than he was at "little old Southampton". Or maybe he's just regretting not being able to spend the money given to Koeman, on more Osvaldos.
  3. Harry would sign all of them and then complain that the squad wasn't big enough and that most of them haven't had much playing time so they're all rusty ... From that very long list, I would take Ben Amos (as per Sarnia's comment) and Kolo Toure. No, I'm not joking, but he's a versatile, experienced player who is happy to act as back up and is someone the younger players can learn from. He's also "won stuff" so has that experience on his side too. No one else in that list really jumps out at me though, well, except Drogba, but I expect he'll sign for Chelsea again for another year?
  4. I'd buy a shirt and I never buy shirts (apart from the dark grey FlyBe one for the gym and the sash one, just because)
  5. I really hope so ... but something nagging away at me tells me it's all too perfect. Jay signing, positive news from Clyne, positive news from Toby ... guess we were surprised last summer!
  6. If we sign him permanently I will be utterly gobsmacked. Not quite "Keeganesque", but an incredible signing all the same.
  7. F**king hell, brilliant!
  8. It's a football day, early kick off means breakfast in Wetherspoons complete with first pint at 930am.
  9. Maybe we could take some clackers and do the hokey cokey too.
  10. Great news, as per all other comments, we could have done with him recently. Hope it bucks up the rest of the squad to perform this weekend!
  11. 5) Bunch of w*nkers who have their heads already on holiday.
  12. Do you have the mental age and/or IQ of 12?
  13. There is a building going up that'll no doubt end up being empty as no supermarket currently wants a large new property ... (assuming that nothing has already been signed, which probably had, but that'd spoil the fun)
  14. Technically I think he was made redundant. His post as "Labour MP" is redundant as the job doesn't exist anymore, it has been replaced with the job of "Conservative MP", for which he was unsuitable to apply. Also, the majority of the payments are for him to pass on to his own staff. Probably a chunk of very junior people who need the money/job. So going to disagree with you on this one I'm afraid.
  15. I still maintain the one player we miss from last season, who I would still have in our first 11 is ... Lallana.
  16. He was indeed, very good, but that bloody song about him stuck in my head for hours. FFS.
  17. Hah, I was stood next to Steve, nice to meet you
  18. How can anyone be against this? "Snooper’s charter Consistently blocked by the Lib Dems in the coalition, Cameron is expected to push through greater powers for the police to monitor internet and phone communications. Only the libertarian wing of the Tory party could prevent it becoming law."
  19. They were in the row directly behind me and Turkish ... I thought it was weird.
  20. Agreed, that was well over the top!
  21. For me, I'm in two minds. I kind of want him to do one and not come back, but then, if he's cheap (couple of million?) and is happy to be a squad player, then we keep him just in case we go on that European tour ...
  22. Already said this yesterday and also on here and I'll say it again, the off the ball movement was non-existent, they didn't look bothered about getting into space or making a run, just looked like a bunch of lazy gits going through the motions.
  23. Just on the way back, all I can say is that they all look f**king lazy. No real running, no movement and just very very little movement off the ball. They don't look bothered about finding space or making runs. They were all bad today except Mane and probably Bertrand. The rest of them should be fined for not bothering.
