The guy you quoted may have a point but I would argue that the WUP would be reasonable, "only two months" or not because there has been a prioritisation by the club of paying other bills and even increasing liabilities instead of paying tax. Yes, the debtor has "been wholly unreasonable". But as he says the CVA becomes relevant as it reflects the ability of the company to pay going forward, and that ability seems, at the moment, to be entirely absent...

The 5th Round Draw - Bolton at home (if we beat Millwall!)
suewhistle replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
I remember seeing Bobby Stokes score 2 against them away in an FA cup replay back when I was a student at UoS. Had to pretend to be miserable when I left the ground and then made a sprint for the coaches. The joys of not having any lectures on a Wednesday! -

Just been watching an internet stream of the Watford - Spurs game. Even the Romanian commentators were talking about Harry and his "evasion fiscal"!

Yep, time certainly rushes by when you're enjoying yourself...

Well, a pint and a half of decent ale wouldn't last long in my hands but I've only ever had one beer at St. Mary's and that was more than enough: I'd rather wait for a shared jug at The Guide Dog or a few pints at The Junction...

Why do loads of people not rate De Ridder?
suewhistle replied to hypochondriac's topic in The Saints
I have hopes, although my views are limited to a few live games and some internet feeds. But I'm not sure we've exploited his pace in the best way. Some of our tight passing can be good but we need to move it a bit quicker sometimes so that he can receive it when he's already in movement forward, not coming back into tight spaces, where, as people have said, he goes round in circles. Crossing and decision making could be better (doesn't that almost always apply?), but I think some of the criticism is unfair and I'm certainly not disappointed when I see him on the team sheet. -
Just for spelling "attendance" incorrectly? Or perhaps you typed it in a sarcastic and gloating manner? I think this saying has been seen here but "don't wrestle with a pig because you'll get all dirty and the pig will enjoy the experience"...

Pompey at home- something a bit special

Don't spoil it after Alpine's just made a good joke!

True, bit of space there, and at King George V playing fields as well. The pitches at the sailing centre on the Eastern Road are far better though, even if always covered in copious amounts of goose poo. Let's not even talk about the dire pitches at Bransbury Park...

Well, from other posts we all know Alps doesn't think we'll be promoted: he's already written us off (going by quotes only - apologies), so presume he thinks we'll be relegated. That should keep all the masochists happy. As Adriansfc has spointed out, some posters predict outcomes and trumpet their rightness to the skies (yes Alps, Burley was a disaster) but never acknowledge when they are wrong. That blindness of vision and monothematic posts is the reason I, for the first time in nearly 20 years on the internet now send someone to DEV/NULL

Pleease don't quote him. It's bad enough watching a crap performance with a nervous crowd and a nervous online audience, but to read YKW wallowing in his normal misery, is just toooo much.

Impossible to tell: like a wacker plate on overdrive...

The Shredder! Regulars will understand... PS: MODS, SG: my status still hasn't been updated....

According to the Leicester Mercury: " City head to the south coast with a mounting injury list. Midfielder Andy King is the latest to be sidelined, along with Darius Vassell, Martyn Waghorn, Jeff Schlupp, Matt Oakley and Frank Moussa, while Sol Bamba and John Pantsil are away on international duty at the African Cup of Nations." Being on the box there should be a stream. Time to go off and see if it's on telly here in Italy: highly unlikely but it is Monday night.

Let's be kind - he was having it changed to "AFC Pompey"

This is rivetting and laughing is good for your health so I'm feeling fit as a fiddle now. BUT MODS, or Steve: I paid my subs last Wednesday and I think all my emails to SG go to his spam folder, so can you update my membership status PLEASE. I wouldn't want to miss contributing to the fun when I finally work out some insightful thoughts on the situation, or even just to congratulate some of the other posters for their information, insight or plain wicked humour... THANK YOU!

Oh, and can people please not quote alpine, as I find it depressing.... "The club aren't doing anything"/"the club should keep quiet"/"this should happen"/"that hasn't happened". I thought matters were improving, but still the absolutely dichotomous statements and unsubstantiated opinions continue to gush forth.

Christ yes. Moving countries with bureaucracy, permissions, organising everything is a 'mare. He'll have lots of support, but even so...

Oh, good! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I think I need a nice big flow-chart to help me...

Jesus effing wept, i've just been listening to a recording of the local coast guard commander with the captain who was already on land, telling him to get back on board. I've never heard a professional like that so angry, and understandably, at a captain who kept evading and making excuses. it's available vi Il Corriera della Sera and audioboo

Scottish education has a well-deserved reputation, but obviously some of them slip through the net.. -
I'm really busy teaching English this week but as the snow's hard that's no worry, but looking ahead to next week there's a depression coming in ffrom the West and cold air from the east, so this side of Mt Blanc a dump also expected. Forecast for La Thuile, for example: http://www.ilmeteo.it/meteo/La+Thuile
