I can just imagine.. one lone constable thinking 'oh f....... !'
-
A pig of a game then? Did Chester park the minibus?
-
Embarassing in Sunday football too!
-
There were a load of old pallets present as well: pictures available of fork lift trucks moving them away from the main fire. I just hope Saturday's game goes ahead otherwise we will be in the fixture mire.
-
Why the 'eck haven't they made the decision and announced it. It's patently obvious from everything we've seen here.. Stadium safety officer and fire chief together for the decision and then the details afterwards with all the parties involved.. It's not as if any of the submissions from the other parties will impact the decision - "well, we'd rather like to fulfill the fixture today.."

My friend who lives across the river and first mentioned it to me says there have been no flames visible for 10 minutes but loads of smoke. With the danger of reignition as well as the smoke there will be loads of appliances and road closures, and can't see it being on so won't be doing my normal mooch into Southampton early, whether by train or car.

I take that bit back, but the need for extra blood pressure tablets was true!

Firstly, thanks to Convict Colony for the stream link. Bastard, another wasted afternoon! 😉 We have a left back who is left footed, I believe, but when he has the ball he continually comes inside where his body shape is all wrong and he looks like a fish out of water and what is more doubles the need for Amlodipine as my BP increases. Other teams have also identified him as a weakness. The commentators have been talking about risk/reward strategy, but so far it mainly seems risk. Why is it that other teams' centre halves don't have the brain farts ours do?

Liverpool 3-0 Saints - Match Thread

Ooo, catty! Actually Saint Keef I have played the lone striker, but more your Adams than your Armstrong whilst I waited for the others to come and give me support. Different from Adams in that I also use my left foot: for passing, tap-ins, chips and crosses. Can't manage laces. Rallyboy, of this 'ere parish can vouch that I've got the build for it! But sadly you have identified my weakness, which is why this season I am playing in goal.. Mind you, I shall do a brisk jog to the pub to watch the game in a few minutes. Can't say I'm hopeful (!) with that line-up.. I'll join the wrist slitting later to use up my last post. -

Yep, said it before: Meghoma, SAA, Dibling and Bragg as a sub to protect our lead.. -
Yep! I was there under the East stand. He did a little shimmy, as I recall it, and was an unlikely scorer. Don't worry Hughie, I've never forgotten your contribution. 🙂
-
Let's hope we play SAA, Meghoma, Dibling and Bragg on Wednesday..
-
At least no Manning or Rothwell, but Hypo, we don't have any defensive midfielders! Perhaps swap Armstrongs at half time as A has been looking weary and S hasn't been up to 90 minutes for ages. If Mara gets on I hope he shows a sight more effort than midweek.
-
If it annoys you, Turkish and the other hipsters on this board I shall join in enthusiastically even if not too keen on the general idea.. In other news Yates seem to have doubled up their bouncer numbers but 'spoons haven't bothered and no bad vibes in this pub. The city day out to the seaside is, as is traditional, rainy.

Would you want _any_ in the _squad_?! McAtee?
-
I only came here to say that Holgate has not made Chris Wilder very happy.. The Blades must have been desperate signing him on loan!

I know which pub a big group of Hull fans are drinking in on Tuesday: I'll let you know which so you can come and give them your opinion in person. 🙂

Organisationally for me tonight was a right shambles: forgotten about where I went for a bite to eat so by the time I got there my teammates had moved on from the pub and it didn't have Sky like I thought it did, so cycled back to another pub where they were showing Inter.. WTF? My request for the West Brom match saw an attempt to put it on, but somebody hadn't paid the Sky subs so it was impossible. Then saw another teammate in the pub and she had Now on her phone so I watched the second half on that! I've just had a look at the comments following the team sheet news and they were quite amusing. From what I saw of the second half though we were pretty much in control. Think I'm changing my opinion on Aribo; he really suited the situation, and there seemed to be more spine to the team and certainly better passing. Bazunu made that great save but some of his long range distrubution was lovely to watch. All in all I'm looking forward to Tuesday night much more now..

Is he your apprentice?

I only saw a bit of the match at the start before I made the correct decision to go off to training (!) but the passing seemed off, there seemed little rythym and no drive or pace. It occurred to me that they were trying to pace themselves with so many games with only two clear days off between them. Hopefully they've got it out of their system for Friday, but we seem to have plenty of attack minded players now but thin in defensive midfield, and this has been noted by most of us and no doubt our opponents. Could Aribo do a decent job there, he certainly has the strength?
-
Drat, off to training in the wet and cold at 8. I believe the Friday game is also on Sky main channel? Down the pub for that if it is.

The following was a BTL comment on The Guardian's match report: "There's humiliation and then there's bringing Cedric on with 15 minutes to go." 🙂

Illustrating a practical application of simultaneous equations?

In that respect it's good to see Sulemanna back!

I'm just a bit worried if we ever get P****y in the cup! In better news, at least the trains seem to be running OK at the moment..
