  1. Are you sure? There's been some serious opposition.
  2. Overseas fans everywhere thank you!!
  3. You're a Pompey optimist then?
  4. Can you imagine the opposition team talks. "Well, let's start with Lambert, we've got to mark him tight, and Barnard of course. Don't forget that Lallana has scored quite a few this season so watch out for him. That Hammond has a good head on him with his late runs. OK, corners, watch out for Fonte, um, they have a couple of scoring wingers Antonio and Waigo. Their new midfielder is also a goalscorer.... "
  5. Well.... I'm breathless just by reading this. Beer and big grin time.. just doesn't feel right for wine ATM.
  6. Same starting line-up as Saturday. Seems AP knows his best team, and we've got some great impact subs for tiring legs too.
  7. Better GD than all but the top two. I was just thinking Papa on must be a goood thing! Come on nipper...
  8. To think I went all the way to Yorkshire to see us stuffed by them at the start of the season - at least I was visiting friends and on the Timmy Taylors. I feel sorry for their die-hard mid-week fans..
  9. We're the Alps, we're the Alps, we're the Alps over here
  10. Ta. Is it BYOB?
  11. Do I get the nearest with my prediction - 43 minutes.:-)
  12. Time for morgan to get off the mark, I feel. Shame Lallana hasn't score in this game yet, and then maybe a centre-back from a corner? We can all fantasise...
  13. Have another beer, perhaps a slash would work as well?
  14. I've got work to do but two bloomin threads to read: this one and the OTHER one (you all know which). Both looking positive for Saints at the moment!!
  15. Bloomin 'eck Duncan, already?? You must be getting on a bit then. Oh. So am I. It's just that I'm sure you had little kids only a couple of seasons ago.. :-) Now I know I'm losing it.
  16. As somebody else said, he does the simple things well, and a lot of midfield work is about simplicity and moving the ball on without drama. I can't remember him against Exeter when I was over at Christmas but I saw him against Huddersfield away when I was over in the summer and I thought even then that he had added bite to his game. The whole team were poor but he wasn't and made some telling physical interventions. It would be nice to see him score (didn't he have one kicked off the line yesterday?) but I feel that when he does it will be a goal to appreciate.
  17. For goodness sake, this is the last place you should set an internet hare running!:-)
  18. Wrong. Eton, Winchester, Harrow and the top public schools played football (or their own versions, anyway). It was only the lesser public schools who played rugby. As the latter wanted to make sure they weren't tainted by trade there was a split between rugby union and league. The aristocrats who went to the top schools were secure enough in their status not to give a toss, so that split never happened in footie.
  19. Get busy son. Think to the future...
  20. What's she going to use? A candle or her favourite dildo?
  21. Whoops, well I posted that at 6pm and I'm only just home. Thank goodness local bars have lots of nibbles to keep you going! Let's open a bottle and read this thread...
  22. Only if you slap your offer on the table.. Apperrittivoo time, so I'll read you all later.
  23. Not many posts.. but a good'un!
