Nah, Italian, from Piemonte. Very lightly sparkling, like Barbera vivace - a fresh, slight *****le on the tongue. Very refreshing and it started out as a pre-dinner appetizer and is ending up as a tranquilizer....

Oh well, might as well finish this bottle of this Chardonnay vivace. Only €3 a bottle and the beer can wait for the final (if we make it)...

I sometimes do wonder about the world they live in. I'm currently taking a break from preparing lessons for new classes to post here. No match today as it was called off but on Friday night there were 18 girls and women at training in 12 cm of snow, even knowing there was no game. We train and play for the love of it after full days at work or school. The rewards in professional male football are in reach early and generously and they still don't make the effort.

Why is _what_ blatant trolling as the OP wasn't specific either to who he meant or what they said? Does that mean that you know what he's talking about, because personally I wasn't entirely sure (even if, without reading the thread, I had an inkling)? If you think he was referring to you are you saying the cap fits well? As Leed's experience proves winning at Exeter is not a foregone conclusion, but I wish we occasionally threw caution to the winds with our formation and just went for a win with the ability we have. Connoly does seem missed, Lambert does seem tired but as I said in an earlier post we don't seem to display the physical urgency as a team which the lesser sides, with lesser ability, use to make up for their shortcomings. I feel we should have both aspects to our game.

Just from the comments of the people listening it sounded poor (i.e. third hand!) and we don't seem to be able to raise the tempo of the game and then bring our quality into play. No doubt other people in the same situation will give a detailed analysis of what is wrong and what should be done...

His corners don't sound too good though, do they? Mind you there was an article/blog in The Grauniad the other day about how so many corners are poor these days, and that was talking about the Premiership mainly.

I can't take some of the replies on this thread seriously. "You should'nt have moved": what are you, peasants who've tilled the family farm for years, or some inter-bred family who've lived on the Flowers estate for 5 generations? As for more deserving fans; the average crowd this year is about 20k. So plenty of others coming out of the woodwork for this. As DubailPhil says, many of us have been supporting saints for years and, as season ticket holders originally at The Dell, have been to hundreds of matches (home and away). Lets have a bit more generosity of spirit and acknowledge we're a wide spread family and our desire to get to see the Saints is a great thing and not something for sniping.

This is what leads me to believe there is a whole lot of mucky stuff going on. People with money (unless all inherited like Gaydamak?) tend to having a bit of a clue about finance, as you suggest. The more I hear of this story the less I'm beginning to believe that, though!
