I think there should be a comma after "I know"... Sorry, English teacher here... Anyway, welcome, as unlike some opposition fans here you seem to talk sense - even if we disagree radically with your opinions. ;-) anyway, I've seen Saints away in Sheffield, but so many years ago I can't remember which team.. nice beer though....
-
's'OK, you can get me one in somewhere: The Platform Tavern, The Junction, The South-Western, even The Waterfront if you want.:-) By the way peeps: what does Steve Grant look like? I reckon my subs are soon due....
-
Tell you what. Apart from being at Thun (I think...) I'll be at the Plymouth game and if you buy me some wonderfully big glasses of beer (a couple of Summer Lightenings should do) I'll wear a serving wench top... It'll be me last fling before the diet and pre-season training. At Thun I might wear a FP shirt, but it's so hot and humid on this side of the Alps that I suspect a red and a white vest top is as heavy as I'll go.

Well, bruno is also wanted by Napoli and according to the Gazzzetto dello Sport "è stato seguito da uomini di fiducia del Napoli." which sounds like they're going to make him an offer he can't refuse.;-) The article also says he's well built and according to Argentine observers has more potential than his brother. Possible loan signing for a year is the only way I can see us getting him.

I train twice a week and play occasionally and I can't afford £65 boots! With my size feet in Italy I buy men's boots but there are some different colours which might be more attractive to a younger lass. One of our players has posh boots where she can change the studs arrangement, but it's very rare here that we wear heavy ground standard 6/8 studs. Moulded is definitely the way to go, I'd say and keep an eye out in the sales.

Nah, first few days leave it to the fitness coaches mwahhaahaahaa. Which reminds me, when does my team start pre-season training?:-(
-
Anyway, I might do a day trip in the car from Italy and that way I'll save on beer and restaurant and hotel and camping bills, me being on Italian poverty wages and all... So look out for the Italian plates and Saints sticker!

It could be that his English is still lacking a little. You only need a reading age of 12 to read The Sun.

Oh, I can quite believe this. Let's face it, the bonuses (probably for making the first team) don't actually have to be that big for Poortsmouth not to pay them. Seems like the lad is being very sensible and he can see which way things are going. You don't have to be a rat to realise the ship is sinking and leaving it.

Imagine having to teach a class fullof little Dunes! It really doesn't bear thinking about. At least teaching English as a second language you get a nicer class of student.

@matthewlegod... love the comment after the article: "Steve you shouldn't have mentioned that cheltenham have a good training ground, Now they'll all want to go!!"

And are any of them ones WE would have wanted? I'm going to do an Alpine and _assume_ not.
-
This seems to be the heart of the matter. A consensus exists on more-or-less what we need but the whole of the OP is posited on the assumption that we haven't done anything yet. It's as if it were as easy as going to the supermarket and choosing between Heinz and HP beans. Maybe offers have been made and turned down, maybe, maybe, maybe... we don't know. But if any assumption is going to be made we all know which way the OP will go, and it really is getting tiresome.

I was talking about Thun.

And you are just repulsive and offensive, and fat... apparently. You also seem to spend more time posting on here than anyone. -
Be careful you go to the right stadium: their new one is being built and won't be ready until next year!
-
Might do one or the other on my visit to the UK by car but can't afford both I don't think, hmm Thun is 3 hours drive from me.. I'b better get googling. Might be worth making a day and night of it.

Alpine in 'negative post with leading question as the title' shocker.

Well, I watched the Germany game in an Italian bar alongside the locals, an English couple and a group of Germans. It was excruciating. For the second (?) breakaway goal I was shouting as the move began "get back and cover" only to see Upson (?) barely sprinting. To add to all the comments here it was the sheer naivety of the way they pushed forward with half an hour still to go. Even in italian local regional women's football our team talk will cover the opposition's key players, and if they have a play-maker or particularly speedy forward we change things to take that into account. We didn't seem to have done anything to cover our lack of pace: it was like Sunday football but without the honest endeavour and giving it your all.

Pre-season Friendly vs. FC Sochaux-Montbéliard - 17th July

Thanks Saint76er for the info, I must admit it did surprise me when I looked at the map. I stayed at Remiremont on my last drive back from the UK, and the area is notable for the lack of cities; I presume they punch a bit above their weight. -
Either way, whether he's just a "humorous" internet troll or a fascist bastard "I believe a stint in Jail is exactly what you need." I'm not sure if I'll miss Wiltshire, even if the PA at SMS does need improving...

They may be free but surely they'll want to be paid. Up front, I would imagine!

Incidentally, ta ZurichSaint: I'd had a mooch around Google the other day without finding anything. We'll still leave you with the Schweizerdeutch searches OK? I'll keep an eye on Ticino! -

I'm driving back from Italy about then: that would make a reasonable stop-off point. Brilliant, just checked ViaMichelin and it's just off my normal route home via Besancon. -
Shove in the dark in your cellar, lock the door and leave for two years: should be even more mature.
