  1. I'm in a Portsmouth area Wetherspoons catching up with old friends. Let off a rather loud shout when I saw the final result. Having extra beer for luck and now I've got to cycle home..
  2. Ah, I think that's answered the question I was about to type: "which way?".:-)
  3. Techy problems I imagine, or someone forgot?
  4. The cleaners sigh with relief..
  5. 0-0 at half time.
  6. Nope, just came on here to say it has disappeared and no reason given, ho hum.
  7. https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2020-01-06/live-premier-league-2-southampton-everton-under-23s
  8. Nah, I'm thinking of the stewards, the cleaning staff and the local residents, railway station staff and a smidgeon of sympathy for the old bill.
  9. The Guradian thinks so too: "Meanwhile, it is very strange not to see the Austrian on the three-man shortlist for December’s manager of the month. Southampton won four, drew one and lost two in that period, which has been transformative for the former relegation strugglers, who are now up to 12th." Hmm, I'll leave the typo in. :-)
  10. Yah bastad bumping this thread, I thought he'd already published it! :-)
  11. No, that was a tribe..
  12. I took a bit of time to get home tonight: a later train following a pub visit. Then I see Mourinho's comments and just had to snigg er. The crowd chants were very apposite in retrospect: "F O Mourinho", and "You're just a s**t Pochettino". Spurs fans in the pub beforehand were much more friendly and gracious. Not sure they're too impressed with JM either.. PS: sydney_saint: hope your sister is well and playing footie again. ;-)
  13. Happy with the point in the end. Disappointed, naturally, but I think the attitude of the crowd at the end was a good commentary on the performance. Positive, applause and no undercurrent of grumbling, and the players appreciated the support we'd given. They know that our home form hasn't been much to cheer at. I think some of the selection issues in the future will be who to bring on as impact subs. They've got only 3 days rest to the next game after just a day this time and I think it's been right to rest players. It's slightly unfair to be too hard on the starters Boufal (back from injury) and Adams (ran himself into the ground Boxing Day), but we had decent substitutions who made an impact. Perhaps Redmond needs resting, and how I'd like a right back with a decent cross..
  14. Well, I've certainly never met any O'Bafemis in Co. Clare..
  15. The atmosphere in the pre-match pub and the ground this Saturday should be a bit better!
  16. What, 3 nil defeat you said..
  17. No, somebody's already done the FFS..
  18. Sod Prime, any streams?
  19. No. He may be fit but tired. Picking up an injury, in any sport, is more likely if you're tired. Remember there's only one day's rest between the games. Anyway, he's on the bench if needed...
  20. Yep, had it and the after effects last a bit.. It can be slightly stress related. Worst thing was no alcohol for 6 months, which finished to coincide with a skiing holiday. Never was a lager drunk with such pleasure!
  21. Yeah, the evil spell checker doing it's work! Unlike the previous offerings I think Glenn was in a hurry to get this winning one in the Christmas post..
  22. Shutup! ;-) Not only a goal for Stevens but a cut back from the bye-line for Long. We seem to be attacking the ball a bit better, and I think Armstrong has had a good game. Redmond is still not there yet but there's a few signs of improvement. Some good crossing from both full backs too!
