  1. You don't have to have been on t'net that long to realise that on any subject under the sun you'll get thread drift unless you have an intolerant mod like Mr Kalgushki on Dave's ESL Cafe.. It wasn't so bad in 1994 when I started as bandwidth was so limited everybody took care not to abuse it. A quick 'meh' suffices for me these days, and the odd blocked poster.
  2. For LOLs I just looked up the News match report. Factless Allen is still an appalling and sycophantic writer..
  3. ... and I remember Branfoot!
  4. At least Romeu has turned up in today's pics: perhaps he's been injured as he appears to be training alone. Perhaps he had too good a holiday in San Sebastian hitting the pintxos or more likely some banal injury. I prefer the first idea though.
  5. That I'd agree with. I never had cause to doubt his work ethic, although you could see the frustration in his body language, and decision making at times was a bit awry, but look at Redmond in the latter regard. With Djenepo as well we could tire the defenders with one of them and then bring on the other. Hey, let's be optimistic! I wonder what RH thinks of Harrison Reed now he's getting a close up look of him in Ireland?
  6. The video and photographs on the OS show them working hard but having a bit of fun too. Lots of sprinting and finishing practice. Boufal and Reed both in evidence. Not sure any conclusions can be drawn except H is very hands on.
  7. Personally I was sick into mine, and into my pasta tonight when I saw his cabinet appointements..
  8. So how come S****horpe isn't allowed and other dumps like Hartlepool are, eh? Answer me that. ;-)
  9. Is there any chance of changing the puritanical Yank swear filter so that we can have S****horpe, s******, wris****ch and the like?
  10. Is that a rhetorical question? It's the hot lazy days of summer, I don't see anything different from normal.. How long is it to the closure of the window, it's too hot to make the effort to check?
  11. You probably agree with Raging Bull as well!
  12. Don't exaggerate, not a beer gut amongst them. Anyway, job done, win, good sweat and a bit of PR.
  13. It's like playing against a team of underweight Clasies.
  14. It's difficult to tell but certainly Johnson, Barnes and Dan N' are on. Possibly Jankewitz too? Et al..
  15. Think that's a bit unfair from what I've seen. My stream seems to have gone back to pre-match!
  16. We can't see you but we can't hear you either. Sing up! :-)
  17. Notable is the pressing and passing through the lines. Although Che's goal was a keeper error it's good to see him hitting it hard and quickly not allowing the keeper to set himself. Interesting to hear the announcement of the prize draw for the Saints shirts; Portuguese, Chinese (Cantonese?) and then English.
  18. Half time: the stream is showing 4-0 , but Slattery's cracking volley was disallowed, I believe, for someone on the line impeding the keeper.
  19. Valery 3
  20. Incidentally Long got the penalty following a cracking through ball between the lines.
  21. Penalty saved, good follow up by Valery but even better by the defender.
  22. Just got in. Water break, thanks for the links and the team news Trousers. ;-)
  23. It is. 13.00 hours our time. Most, but not all, there are a lot of old fogies on here. Plus Trousers, who I think works but seems to post at most times of the day.. ;-)
  24. That would be a fun exercise for the end of a training session, I might suggest it to our manager. He could offer a fiver and with our players the money would be safe!
