HMS Victory and the Dockyard are interesting historical monuments. Historians should also find Fratton Park interesting tomorrow. I was talking to somebody only this morning who works down the naval dockyard. When he moved down there he was absolutely appalled at the attitudes, the cavalier approach to safety and the appalling working practices. That probably sums up tomorrow evening!

I laughed. Am I bad?

Should the outcome we desire happen and we tonk them without getting any injuries I wonder whether they'll take out their frustrations on the Fratton Road again.. In those circumstances anybody going should be prepared to be kept in a bit.. For afternoon games eg: the Alan Knight testimonial, the long delay was acceptable as it was a nice sunny day on the open terrace and we played dodge the lumps of concrete, but the last train back to Southampton of an evening doesn't make this an option. Hopefully they'll be so busy booing Kenny J that this scenario doesn't happen. Edit: hadn't seen DJ's post until I refreshed..

Can we include the cups? /innocent question/
-
Bury? Is that a noun or a verb?
-
Ignore him and hopefully he'll go away.

I don't normally wear face paint either, I'm not that sort of lass, but I could always go out and buy some bright red stuff. Best you didn't wear it though, even if you're that sort of lad. :-) Anyway, joking aside I don't think I'd be able to get a ticket but might make some discreet enquiries at our match on Sunday..

No. Mentioned in the decent write up on the OS. Edit: sorry, I misread your post.
-
As long as you don't wear your Saints shirt. ;-)

Now there's an idea. I live in PO10.. One of the girls at training last night had a ticket and she's not a season ticket holder or even regular as far as I know..

Thanks for the suggestion.. Those locks are quite handy for self defence too!

England to play Euro qualifier at St Mary's in September

They obviously don't appreciate how many saints fans including ST holders live in PO or BH postcodes. Probably not the sort of pubs I'd go in, but in the unlikely event they wanted to check on me I'd go all school mistress and tell them off!;-) -

The Guardian has been very complimentary about the atmosphere at St Marys. -

Yep, had a phone call from someone who was nearly up to two hours getting to J5.. Still claggy throughout the area apparently. -
Would you like my reply with bullet points? My preferred option, if the place weren't full of thieving scrotes, is to cycle down the Eastern Road cycle path, red and white scarf flapping in the breeze... Not sure where I'd lock me bike though.

Both Fratton and The Dell as I recall. Our school all weather hockey pitch was red dirt, essentially. So my point stands!

Since I've got no aways it'll be the local pub for me. As it's in PO10 I'll get a little bit of the real experience. Will it be acceptable to jump up when we score, I wonder? Doubt if I'll break the rules on here about shirt wearing..
-
Why yes! Actually, judging by my team those aren't footballers. You can tell by the knees.. Particularly with occasionally playing on 3/4G pitches.
-
I see it's 2-2. 26% possession!

No, mums can be critical but by and large they're positive and critical in a supportive way. I think The Cat's point is the most relevant. The money savings are no doubt important, but what good would it do having them all getting the occasional U23 game or, perish the thought, the occasional first team game when we're desperate. They'd be just swanning in and out occasionally in their posh cars putting the backs up of the younger players.

Last time I went there in 2013 for a women's international a seat collapsed under a friend. I doubt it's got much better; new floodlights though!

Yes. I had a little chuckle.. As for the OP, boringly repetitive. His spelling is poor too.

Yes, definitely a useful addition, and his drive and cross into the box are hopefully a sign of things to come. As for the booking, he knew as soon as he did it, but I don't think Ralph needs to roast him too much. "Well, that was a learning experience, no?" and leave it at that.

Rallyboy, you're a big strong lad. You going?;-)
