This is how I feel. Some defeats leave me really grumpy but not this one for reasons other people have already outlined. Some of the over the top criticism of Stephens makes me think some of you must be getting bad cases of PMT! I also thought the disparaging remarks about Smallbone before the game were unfair too, and I think many of us were pleased at how effective he was and the increased bite he has brought to his game. So on to tomorrow's banana skin and let's hope we have enough fit players and likewise Shrews! We should win, but I'm a long standing Saints fan...

Hmm, once again a very young and inexperienced bench but I think I said that before the Liverpool game as well. Apart from Smallbone the starting line-up is fine and the main reservation I have about him is his physicality. At least Long isn't a starter, so let's hope all our worst fears are not realised!

Go on then Millbrook: "they never accepted the democratic vote of 2016" - so who got the most votes then?

I've heard that the Village People shaman is insisting on organic food in prison.. But given the research that has come out into the differences as to how they police left wing and right wing demonstrations there perhaps he'll get it.. Has the OP been on recently? More like Fire-and-forget or Unguided Missile it seems to me.

That's because they're wearing gum shields..

Is there a 'not' missing?

Oh ye of little faith! Looking forward to the next instalment. ๐

I've been on tea until now. I think I'll let myself have a beer.. That was hard enough watching let alone playing in!

That's an inexperienced and young bench! Trousers, no Salisu?!

Bloomin' 'eck!

Position that you would most want to improve in the starting XI

Would he qualify for enough points under the new Brexit regime? -
As Long as Appy doesn't Tell a story, as he'd lose his credibility that way. How he's going to slip Nlundulu past the censors I've no idea..
-
Well, knowing Long part of him would be offside! ๐

I'll bet! Just about to give an online lesson, so laters..

"Trash"? That's a rather strong word, do you really mean it or just have a small vocabulary and look at everything in black and white? Do you mean that everybody who doesn't play week in week out in the premier league is trash? Could you criticise a player without being so sweeping and uninformative? Which do you think are the weakest points of his game? Do you think he has any reasonable attributes to have played so many games in the top flight? Nah, you go with "trash".

.. and retired, or near it? ๐

Team coach all the way there under football club control? Bit harsh, I know, but it's best to avoid environments you can't control. Loads of poorly paid hotel service staff who can't afford to isolate and lose their jobs if they have even minor symptoms?

Bit like in Italy; you can always recognise Fascist era public buildings..

I'm not as down as I can sometimes be after a game as the performance was generally good: Vest, KWP and Walcott in particular, but Redmond seems to lack all confidence. Djenepo was more of a danger for us, at least he takes on players and gets to the by-line. I'd echo the comments on the ref: how come their full back didn't get booked for the foul on Walcott who had turned him? The nippers had a difficult game to play in but Tella put in a couple of lovely crosses and they'll feel all the better for being given the chances, and they'll now know a bit more about what is needed at this level.

Oh, f**k me, it's 'Arry on commentary

Hmm, now you know why I don't bet on football!

I was just thinking that we've got a stronger bench than earlier in the season and then I saw theirs.. Think it's wise to rest Armstrong a bit; he's still available from the bench.

Behave! ๐

Cheers, but I now can't go as I'm in tier 3.. Hopefully that will change again soon...

Me too! At least if you contact the ticket office they will arrange a refund.. Posted elsewhere but for information.. Please be aware that if you live in an area that has been placed in Tier 3 of the governmentโs local restriction tier system, including Portsmouth, Gosport, Havant and parts of Surrey, you will not be able to attend this match. Please email tickets@saintsfc.co.uk to arrange a refund.
