I'm not sure I can afford Saints playing like this as I watched down the pub and had more than usual... In control, and although I was twitchy once or twice (I've supported Saints for a very long time) in the end I was relaxed and thought I'd support my local pub with another pint - even had to point out they'd missed off the last one when I asked to pay my tab. There was so much slick passing going on. Even though I don't understand Redmond being MoM either he did, like everyone else, work his socks off. The sort of game we really missed watching live..

I noticed that, so immediately said to myself 'so we won't then..'

🙂 Glad I read the small print..

It's on Sky so if the pubs are open I hope to see the game.. But if we ever did this for Southampton I'd contribute even if I haven't got a telly.

Also disciplined at the end not just throwing in a cross which could have lead to a Chelsea counter-attack.
-
Initially I was of the second opinion, but then I realised it was deliberate and probably under instruction - JWP also had the opportunity to cross. As it was we still managed another chance and when it came to the Chelsea goal kick it was after the extra time period was up.

I've always thought you post a lot of merde but think you're on the mark with this one. It's good to see the recent proposals by Liverpool and Manchester United being turned down by the other clubs: basically showing that they don't trust them. The proposals, in the longer term, are really not for the general good of football. We really don't want a Bayern or Juventus situation; far better to be able to have the sort of result Aston Villa achieved the other day, or Leicester the otrher season, to the delight I reckon of every neutral football fan.

In other England news I see they are short of a left back. An article in The Guardian with a few interesting comments BTL re Bertrand as well: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/oct/14/the-guppy-paradox-are-englands-left-sided-woes-back-to-haunt-them

OK guys, there's a hint of ear lobe there...

I have a very random memory, but I seem to recall it was as much as 150K, and Swindon had rather forgotten about it until the cheque from Rupert Lowe appeared. My own feelings on the transfer are that the smile in the photographs appear genuine and not the forced PR jobs we sometimes see. I suspect he was genuinely pleased to see us in for him rather than going to one of the other random suitors, and if that can be reflected in motivation in training and on the pitch we may have a very useful addition to the squad even if he can't manage 90 minutes of Ralph's pressing. Obafemi sometimes seems not capable of that when coming on for 20 minutes. He never left under a cloud like some players do, and the fans remember that.

Ooh, I'm not going to get sniffy at any of those suggestions!
-
New one on me, but beffa can also be translated as hoax or practical joke, which is basically what the fans think about it.

Thanks. I thought Djenepo would start - all the press about him, and Redmond coming back from injury. No Bouffal.. Off to the pub in 40 minutes: with this shitty weather should get my table and persuade them not to show the Leicester game..

Heh? How much are beers in NZ?..

If it's working days I make that next Thursday but I won't notice anyway as it was via my credit card.

Please don't quote him, some of us already have, although that was more because he was personally offensive and not general a0holeness, and I couldn't be bothered to respond any more.

: Buzzfeed News – I am the politics editor and I have absolutely no idea what happens next About sums things up. It's not exactly a surprise though, is it?

Me too, a hoody for slumming around the house.

Reed is injured again but Lemina's absence from Fulham's losing line up to Brentford tonight perhaps suggests he's been found out already!
-
Is that you, fans in general or the club? I'd probably agree on all three..
-
You mean unsuccessful?

Haven't picked any sloes this year but my new allotment has a damson which was laden, so I've damson liqueur on the go, using the last bottles of 95% alcohol which I get in Italian supermarkets. I'm guessing that won't be possible next year, although I've yet to see any regulations on personal importation of alcohol. Three months to go and still all up in the air.. I've also got cherry and redcurrant bottles lurking under the stairs. Perhaps strong enough to kill any little lurking virus in the throat or nasal passages, but undiluted would probably remove stomach lining as well..

I'd love to see the equivalent selection from the Daily Fail/Wail/Heil..

How about crowdfunding some ground improvements or their own training ground?
