  1. Please don't quote him, some of us already have, although that was more because he was personally offensive and not general a0holeness, and I couldn't be bothered to respond any more.
  2. : Buzzfeed News – I am the politics editor and I have absolutely no idea what happens next About sums things up. It's not exactly a surprise though, is it?
  3. Me too, a hoody for slumming around the house.
  4. Reed is injured again but Lemina's absence from Fulham's losing line up to Brentford tonight perhaps suggests he's been found out already!
  5. Is that you, fans in general or the club? I'd probably agree on all three..
  6. You mean unsuccessful?

    Sloe Gin

Haven't picked any sloes this year but my new allotment has a damson which was laden, so I've damson liqueur on the go, using the last bottles of 95% alcohol which I get in Italian supermarkets. I'm guessing that won't be possible next year, although I've yet to see any regulations on personal importation of alcohol. Three months to go and still all up in the air.. I've also got cherry and redcurrant bottles lurking under the stairs. Perhaps strong enough to kill any little lurking virus in the throat or nasal passages, but undiluted would probably remove stomach lining as well..
  8. I'd love to see the equivalent selection from the Daily Fail/Wail/Heil..
  9. How about crowdfunding some ground improvements or their own training ground?
  10. Behave!
  11. I had company on Saturday so only managed to see a short part of the first half, including the goal and a surprisingly competent Vestergard, with his good long passing and moving forward through the lines. I didn't expect the same result when I caught up later, but we did it, and in the circumstances I think the result, not the performance, was the important thing. For all the talk of Burnley's injury list I have to say that our bench was nothing to write home about, and we do look a few injuries away from disaster. I look on Armstrong and Djenepo's poor performances as simply those of players who have been rushed back to play in the absence of alternatives..
  12. i honestly don't know. I think when SFC withdrew support the old team that won all of those FA cups went off on their own, and it's only fairly recently that the club have renewed support for women's football.
  13. Thanks, but it's our first Hampshire League game of the season, and I'll be relying on adrenalin to overcome the pain of my sciatica! Just hope my team don't get them in the cup, it would be very embarrassing! Good to see though, and maybe Turkish will watch as well. 😉
  14. Well, that would certainly be more your style..
  15. come off the bench to replace Reed..
  16. Crikey, we are all depressed, aren't we, if the build up thread has only just been posted. Lawrenson's analysis may be crap, but so are Saints at the moment and I'm not feeling very optimistic, particularly as I can now make the pub to watch the game. I feel we're a couple of injuries from disaster, and if 'Arry Redknapp made the comment now - 'bare bones' - I'd feel for once he was being accurate. Surely we must strengthen our midfield before the window closes? Doesn't Gao realise it'll be even more of a fire sale if we get relegated?
  17. Yep, just had a look. Think I recognized two of the Brighton names. Mind you, don't think Saints have a second team that could do that.
  18. Wasn't6 it just! Just got in from training, found a link, found we were 1-0 down then that. You could see it all happening in slow motion.
  19. But as a realistic poster you know we won't, indeed can't, for what we're prepared to spend. It's a shame, as I was always optimistic when he was on the pitch even if I was generally disappointed..
  20. Does too! Just not in association football..
  21. He could pocket a few this season..
  22. I agree with this, and as Stevy points out he was unlucky with injuries last season. Also I don't think 'not a bit part role' means starting every game, but more not 'only considered when we're desperate'. i don't think he's fit for today, is he? Which would rather illustrate the problem.
  23. I see what you mean. Short staccato sentences. written with a 12 year old's vocabulary. Not a bright one.
  24. These summarise it for me. The Bordeaux experience doesn't bode well either.
  25. Thanks, I couldn't remember the details..
