They’ll be good this season. We won’t be midtable
-
Switched the cricket on to cheer myself up with some The Hundred and Bill-ings is batting with Ing-ram. Aargh
-
It’s a good job the pull of his home town was enough. Oh.
-
Wow. Where will the goals come from? Have to say that’s a big impact on our final standings. Relegation feels closer
-
I see his Astonvillitis has flared up again
-
I really like him too. Would add a great deal to our midfield.
-
JWP is another where a big question remains
-
God, I hope you're right. Out of the two I prefer Forster as I think he's less prone to major calamities and instils a mite more confidence. But getting a better option in would be great.
-
Buy back is worth more than £25m according to Tom Barclay
-
Why we don't invest in a decent keeper is beyond me. McCarthy's calamitous distribution sends ripples throughout the side, and will cause quite a few draws turning into losses.
-
Yes, as there is a buy back clause and a sell on one too, so effectively it's only a little better than a loan. This is what I suspect Brighton wouldn't run to. Either way, though, it's a very good addition. We get a good player and Chelsea don't lose out on a prospect, long term. We are effectively giving them a place to play for a bit, whilst keeping one hand on his future. Which is probably our best model for the time being.

Must be a buy back clause or perhaps it means Ings will go the other way for not quite as much as we’d hoped. So guessing Armstrong will come in after all. All a bit of a punt obvs
-
That Livramento deal is an outstanding bit of work. Well done Mr Crocker. Take a bow.
-
What happened with Brighton then? Seemed nailed on, given his links there
-
Oops. Sorry. Bit slow on that one. Very exciting.
-
Wow. 🚨| Southampton are close to completing the signing of 18-year-old Chelsea right-back Tino Livramento, after work to seal a deal moved quickly in the ‘last 48 hours’ #saintsfc [@AdrianJKajumba]

Happy to swerve this one. Ridiculous money. Good luck Norwich..
-
Villa ‘undeterred’ apparently and will make second bid. If 30 mill we should still say no. Gut feeling is he’ll go though.
-
I suspect they will be saying to him he would have played at the euros if he was at Villa. And they’d probably be right. Also, bags more money, and we’re broke. I reckon he’s off. Big loss. (If so)
-
Ward Prowse ‘a doubt’ for today’s game. Uh huh.
-
Christ. If it’s Ralph’s plan to play him there we are absolutely fucked.
-
Oh, one of 'those' injuries. Grealish to Man U must be £60m at least. Waiting game. Would be a big loss losing our captain. Again.
-
He's not great at stopping goals going in either
-
Can you see us spending more than £15m? Not sure I can. Hope so though, and for once as an extra, not cheapie (relatively) Ings replacement
