    McCarthy

Greatest keeper we ever had by a country mile. 'Tina! Tina!' Remember that and you're a real fan... 😉

I think Rasmussen's little computer with all his algorithms on it must only be tuned to Wales and its managers, clearly. He's so left-field! What an outlier! What a brain. Also, what a twat.

My irony meter has just exploded: SaintsExtra @SaintsExtra Dragan: "When we were relegated, I thought it was important we showed the people at the club and the supporters that we are going nowhere." #saintsfc @TimesSport
  4. I guess us and most other clubs... Be great if one of the kids could step up to this plate, or even Adam Armstrong in his more natural habitat, but think we need to spend some serious money on proven ability. (OR/ AND) Might we return to Chris Wood now he's out of the picture a bit at Forest? I know, not the answer necessarily (and 31) but were linked before and has the physicality for the Champ?
  5. Very true, just joshing. We need someone of that ilk in his prime though, or a reliable Rickie Lambert type. Hope we channel a lot of the incoming transfer fees on that and a decent keeper.

    McCarthy

We really have to get rid of him this time. He's appalling. God knows why he's selected. Invisible. A good keeper must be very high on the list for next season, along with, um, probably 10 other players with experience and presence in front of him. Oh and proven goalscorer. Need to invest that Lavia and JWP money well.
  7. Decent point. Not sure we’ll stay up though. Time to get the big lads in and go back to basics. More youthful tippy tap will get blown away despot Raamussen’s self confessed ‘I unearthed a gem, eventually’ genius. We need a few Jimmy Cases to mix with the home growns. And proven goal scorer. Vardy, anyone? One last season on the old Red Bull?
  8. Did JWP go off sideways?
  9. What a fucking joke

    James Ward-Prowse

Feels nailed on for him to go to Spurs to be with his bestie Fraser Forster. That and they like players like JWP (style over substance, generally, but pretty damned good for a season back there with Oriel to do the hard stuff next to him). Takes a good free-kick, but can't get hold of a game and boss it. Hope we can still get top dollar for him by playing the show-reel and editing out the crab-like side to sides.
  11. Yeah, right, Liverpool. Accept that or definitely over £40m elsewhere. Tough choice. Lavia is going to be one of the very best. We should demand absolute top dollar, not someone not even good enough for Liverpool's ropey midfield
  12. He'll probably play himself at centre mid in a specially commissioned rollneck Saints shirt, sticking Vs up at the crowd for the full 90 minutes. What a terrible way of handling it. Why have him involved at all? Pointless. Like us.
  13. Okay just shit. Cannot believe a professional footballer could miss some of those chances, such as that howler v Wolves. Atrocious. And thinks he's really good.
  14. Forest want Che Adams. *Puts hand up to volunteer driving him up there (Pretty sure he wouldn't know where to go as he doesn't seem to know where goalposts are) What a shit, shit player.
  15. Have to say I prefer ‘scoring goals football’. But hey. Martin is a good guy but it does still reek a bit of Rasmustwat doing a bit of ego-look-at-me-I-found-a-gem-thanks-to-my-brilliant-unorthodox-approach. It’s probably his last go at this. Can’t help feeling that the safe choice would be a proven manager with experience of promotion. Guess we’ll just have to hope Martin is good at hitting the ground running.
  16. Ooh. McCarthy and Elynoussi. And theo. What joy. Is his brief to pick the shittest team we have? Selles is a total tool and good riddance. He can shop for rollneck sweaters at his leisure now.
  17. Lived here for 15 years and never heard of that
  18. Suspect Russell Martin will be here in Brighton tomorrow, not least as his academy is based in Brighton. Wonder if he’ll be at the ground. And wonder if the players who have clearly already been sold will play or that their new clubs insist not lest they get injured.
  19. Looks like it’s him then. Just to remind everyone I was the first on here to suggest him. Got roundly ridiculed.
  20. Can’t decide whether this makes Tony more or less likely to be coming too
  21. Saving money as usual, but maybe also because other managers like Cooper or Moyes might come into the frame. Have funny feeling Potter will take over from Southgate.
  22. To be fair, I doubt he'll get many more games for Brighton and think he's done his coaching badges so not ludicrous suggestion. Doubt he'd give a monkeys about a few scrotes booing for ten minutes. Anyhow, perhaps it was Fonte? Guess we'll never know now. PS anyone else think Mowbray wouldn't be a disaster? realistic, would take no shit, lots of experience. All of which rule him out from Ankersen's 'edgy' (ie shit) views about thinking outside the box or something. ie shit.
  23. Beattie! Good lord. Why on earth would we have loved that? When I read past player, I thought of Yoshi. That would have been interesting.
  24. Senior figures at Southampton now accept that it would have been better to sack Ralph Hasenhuttl at the end of last season #saintsfc @JackRosser_ If only they had read the frigging forum...
