But we play prettier football with Morgan, which is more important than winning IMO
  2. This. We want a bloodbath, a couple of red cards to key players. Don't want anyone to be properly injured, but a few knocks and some tired legs could favour us. But, Sheff Wed have been pony recently and I fully expect Posh to win at a canter
  3. We'll need a few additions instead of an overhaul IMO. We play so much better against sides who will play football, and on much better pitches. In this league I fancy us more against any of top 6 at home rather than the bottom 6 away, simply due to the pitch being in good condition and knowing we're not coming up against a team that's gonna park the bus. With our current squad I think we'd survive comfortably enough in the NPC, replace a few of the regular starting 'squad players', with a bit of quality, and I reckon we would push for top 6
  4. It would surprise me if NO points were awarded in this game. I think at least 3 points should be on offer to the winner
  5. Just looked at it, didn't realise Charlton are so out of form. Still, we haven't been at all convincing since the wins over Dag & Red, Blackpool and Oldham. Need to get back into that sort of form. Still, can put ourselves in a very good position if we win tomorrow and saturday
  6. Good spot TDD.
  7. Yeovil (H) Bournemouth (A) Sheff Wed (H) Charlton (A) Plymouth (A) MK Dons (H) Charlton (H) Leyton Orient (A) Rochdale (A) Bristol Rovers (H) Brighton (A) Hartlepool (H) Brentford (A) Walsall (H) Very tough next 6 games, need to hit form fast
  8. Just back from the game. Bad night all round. THE worst home support I've ever seen. We were poor, but I still can't believe we didn't score at least 1. It's beyond me how a goalkeeper that short and fat can be that good. We had so many chances and should have won comfortably, despite playing so badly. Not sure about NA's tactics tonight, we lost the midfield battle despite starting with Morgan, Chappers and DH, and resorted to hoofing from fairly early on. I think Lambert needs a talking to. He won his headers but didn't look dangerous, or even interested, and spent loads of time sulking and moaning to the ref. Ref was shocking, but surely a pro footballer should know to play to the whistle. No promotion with displays and results like that...
  9. Tactics all wrong tonight, despite us being very unlucky not to take the points. NA always bangs on about playing the right kind of football. Last time I checked, the long ball over the top at the first opportunity was not 'the right way to play football'. Also I don't understand how we can start the game playing 3 central midfielders and still lose out in the middle of the park. Also N'guessen is pony.
  10. The sun has amongst their list of all the transfer deals yesterday, 8.17pm Jose Fonte, Southampton to S****horpe (undisclosed). I assume it's just them being sloppy, but they do also report on Forte to us from scunny. I assume the thing about Fonte is wrong as it's the first I've heard about it and nothing on the OS.
  11. And not forgetting Guly can fit in there in place of any of them
  12. Good signing IMO, gives us options. As long as he's not Oxo's replacement Just think about: - - - - - - -Lambert - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lallana - - - - - - Forte - - Morgan - - Chappers - -Oxo or - - - - - -Lambert - - Barnard - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Lallana - - - - - - - - Forte - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - Oxo - - - - - - -Morgan/Chappers - - - - - Either would be a ridiculously good front 6 at this level
  13. Good draw. No time for a cup run this season. Was hoping for a big prem team away for the day on the lash, but this will do.
  14. Plymouth beat us 1-0 on the opening game of the season. We were sh1t. HTH.
  15. Do you not think DC or Barnard would have got a run-out for the last 10-15 mins if they were fully fit? We were 4-1 up and only used 2 subs. Says it all to me.
  16. Not the point Appy, not at all. He did ok and was the only real option available to us today
  17. Tough one this for me. Some things he did very well - winning headers, made some intelligent runs, linked up the play well at times especially for Chaplow's goal, but his finishing was poor and he didn't look at all composed when put through on goal. The biggest problem for me today was his attitude and body language. He had his head down, he'd take forever to get back onside when play broke down, and at the final whistle all he did was take his shirt off and trudge straight down the tunnel. He just didn't look bothered. Not a normal reaction from a player on the back of such a good result
  18. My guess is it'll be off. We're working in Hull at the moment and it's bad here with more snow on the way, and it's worse further up the coast. With a little ground like that it'll be hard to get the pitch playable, even if they get the roads sorted, which they still haven't.
  19. Coyr ffs tbf imo
  20. I wish I had mate like yours
  21. The bookies know that a season is never decided in the 1st 7 games. That's all there is to it. We could still win it, or we could still fight relegation for a while to come
  22. Avoiding relegation would be a success IMO
  23. Boooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
