  1. I have a Fareham PO14 postcode, does that count?
  2. No, we need to be replacing squad players with better players, who will push current starting XI players down the pecking order. What we don't want to be doing is replacing last season's most dangerous player. Ridiculous statement.
  3. Can't believe I just read all that to learn that people, especially in the West Country, will keep an eye out for those fixtures closer to home, rather than a 600 mile round trip. Fascinating.
  4. Have I missed something? All this talk of £8m, is this not just a figure that some fool has plucked out of thin air?
  5. What bid of £8m? Not gonna happen.
  6. Complete non-story. Family man, settled here, top scorer, fan's favourite, talisman, will get games whether we sign another striker or not. Can't even call that journalism.
  7. Bed wetting. Most of the clubs going for big signings have seen them drag on. There's no need to panic anyway. Even if we'd made no signings I think we'd have come back stronger than last season after a full pre-season with MP. Chill out.
  8. Double post ffs
  9. If Spurs struggle to keep hold of their very best when the big boys come calling, what hope have we got? Yes it'll be very exciting to see just how good our current players become over the next few seasons, but if they all become as good as everyone is hoping, they won't all be playing in the same side.
  10. Well, he got a photo of MP in his motor. Fair play.
  11. Nice post if true. However the OP has posted a fair few stadium-loitering stories, I don't remember any of them being accurate in the slightest.
  12. It's my top away game of all time. There are loads that are close, but it was brilliant. We had £25 on the Lambert hat trick at 25s, we didn't wake up with much change. Good memories.
  13. Has SWF ever seen a concrete source for anything?
  14. Hate it, but wouldn't have bought it even if I loved it. Only shirt I've got from the last decade is the 125 anniversary one, and that was a gift.
  15. Hooper over Bent any day of the week. I'd have Kevin Phillips over Bent, can't stand him. The vast majority of his goals are ones that are put on a plate and your nan could score, he probably scores 1 in 10 one on ones. Donkey. Plus he's one of them that would run to the corner giving it the big one even if one of his team mates had just skinned 5 players and laid it on a plate for him. Horrible player.
  16. Goodwood last weekend, BBQs, pub gardens etc in the sun this weekend, Ibiza in 2 weeks, Royal Ascot on the 23rd, weekend in London at the end of June. It's nice to have weekends doing stuff without the distraction of football. I reckon I'll start to get fed up of waiting sometime in July though.
  17. The thing with Holloway, for me, is that he thinks he's got banter. If you go giving it out, you've got to be able to take some, and he can't. That said, I'm glad it's Palace rather than Watford. Always had good times at Selhurst and Watford's loan army getting promoted would've been all wrong IMO.
  18. I'm happy enough with that, thought it'd be more than £604. I missed 8 home games this season due to working up and down the country, but never failed to sell my ticket to a friend or friend of a friend so wasn't out of pocket. Will renew and do the same next season.
  19. Seems to be a bit of confusion about the words. "This is what it's like" makes no sense. "It's not nice" kind of works. At Spurs we were singing: "What's it like to be Pompey, What's it like to be poor....." Makes much more sense to me. FWIW I thought it sounded great and the whole lower tier was bouncing in the second half. I missed the Stoke game due to being stuck working away all weekend, so no idea what got sung in the home game.
  20. Good stunt. Get a good feeling amongst the fanbase in time for a winnable final game and the impending 15% hike on ST/ticket prices. Clever bloke that Cortese. Glad he's staying though, not that it was in much doubt.
  21. Rule 1?
  22. Jack

    Harry Houdini

Just heard 'arry on the radio claiming his current squad is "more likely to do a Wolves rather than win the championship next season". Getting your excuses in early as possible Harry, as usual. C*nt.
  23. Beat Spurs, draw at Sunderland, lose to Stoke. 11th. Decent job done.
