A bit of research and i've found out a rather dissappointing few stats: last double win: Norwich/Doncaster, September 2008 last triple win: Leeds/Norwich/Southend, April-May 2007 last quad win: Leeds/Luton/Birmingham/Hull, November-December 2006 Can't believe we haven't won 3 in a row for almost 2 seasons!!! Thats dismal. Only positive really is that Norwich always appear in good winning/unbeaten runs - maybe they could be in it again???

I've got Take That's hit song "Hold On" stuck in my head... ahhhh!!!
-
Blimey Sven, i'd watch that mouth... gulp...
-
McGoaldrought just became a toy at McDonalds he is such a great player!!! (btw, he always scores our goals, he must be getting a better average now?)
-
Or maybe it was actually his shot that was 25 yards wide?

Can't get positive about Saints at the moment. Im expecting to lose, so in a way I can't feel as much dissappointment as the positive fellas because im 'ready for it'. Plus I will enjoy the win more feeling like I am, as the positive fellas will think to themselves that we will then beat Doncaster, instead of focusing on the win, and getting dissappointed next week. Oh well. COYR

the situation is so desperate that I expect a club like Hereford to loan us a player and say "It'll be good for [insert name here]. Its a big stadium and he'll get some games" grrrrr we need a Jon Parkin, a Steve Howard, a Markus Allback...

a striker that looks anything like "Michel" off the film Dodgeball... -
Poortvliet has turned Saints into a team loved by most others. They entertain the supporters of every club with our 'passing', and then give them the 3 points as well!!! To most Championship teams who dont follow us week in week out, they all think we should be higher up... but none of them have watched long enough to realise, we dont score goals!!! we have to own goals!!! I can't believe Poortvliet hasnt spotted this and at least changed tactics to give us more of a chance of doing what you need to do in a game of football. PUTTING IT IN THE NET. Jan out, Iain Dowie Geraint Williams or Mark Hughes (i know impossible but we can dream) in!!!
-
I'd like to believe this, but no chance. seller TotalJan will still have plenty of visitors to his ebay shop and plenty of players will be off to better run clubs.

I fear we may have all been hinging on this too much. The real talent aka Bale, Walcott left and reality is nobody else was going to be that good. Bale and Walcott while with us were decent Championship standard players. We may have hoped for maybe 3 or 4 more Bale and Walcotts. I remember looking back 2 years ago and telling someone Jamie White was the next Walcott... and where is he now? League 2 standard at Shrewsbury. We did have "the best academy". That team won the Youth League in 2005. This Saints first team consists of a younger groups of lads that were in that team that beat Villa in the final...

8 of our 11 players are "youngsters" (in terms of the team v united). They dont play very well. What can we do? Davis is player of the season, Perry doesn't have to be playing anymore - if he didnt want to he'd be gone and Skacel has wanted to leave in the past but has proven willing to make up to the club and get back to a state where he plays well enough for his place. So what you're saying is us fans have to shut up, cope with it, and make the most of our ongoing freefall? If I was a player and I got abused, i'd be upset but also determined to put it right.
-
Hopefully: Davis; James, Perry, Lancashire, Molyneux; Smith, Schniederlin, Surman, Holmes; Skacel; McGoldrick (4-4-1-1) it will be nothing like that though. i definitely think we should play Skacel more forward, if he could regain his Hearts form he'd be the best player in the Championship. Even if we have to sacrifice Holmes, PLAY SKACEL FORWARD!!!

A lot of uninspiring but I think those are the list of managers that are just about affordable and are better than Poortvliet. Will Lowe care? no...
-
Its got 4-0 written all over it. A couple from Tevez, 1 from Park, 1 from Welbeck. The closest Saints will get to scoring is a chipped free kick from 50 yards out that lands in Kuzszcak's hands...
-
More cost cutting at Southampton as Michael Wilde agrees to become a steward. Lowe has also taken advantage of the cheap Asian market, utilising them with the St Johns Ambulance team.
-
Not even Albus Dumbledore could inspire any cup magic out of this one. Although the last 4 fixtures shown by Setanta has resulted in the lesser team winning the game... how many straws am I clutching?
-
I think it was SIX million and Le Saux. Im pretty sure of that...

Would you BOYCOTT? Ways to get rid of Lowe and the board
brightspark replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
a pitch invasion against united? in front of the world, after a certain time, say 30 mins there is a mass attempt at a pitch invasion - declaring you won't leave till Lowe leaves or something like that. It doesn't need 15,000 to work it only really needs about 2000 willing people, those unwilling dont do it dont have to. -
I used to enjoy looking at these stats when we are half decent. Nowadays its just expected and means little as relegation is certain with the current situation the club is in. With Poortvliet and Lowe, we will stay in the 20s in this league all the way until May.
-
Count how many times they mention that we're outside the bottom 3.
-
Im really dissappointed. To the stage where I dont care. To cheer me up could only be a video (on youtube) of Matt Le Tiss firing balls at Poortvliet and Lowe from 5 yards out like a firing squad may do it. I couldnt trust any of our current players as they may miss the target 99.6% of the time.
-
It shows promise. We might have a late push for the play offs.
-
I hate to say it but this club is so unwordably f*cked up that poortvliet will stay for the season and demand after relegation: "im happy. there is promise. i am confident in the players to get us in the premier league in 2 years." FFS

I have a feeling that with Mr Lowe, Mr Poortvliet and Mr McGoaldrought it may also be the results in January, February, March, April and May that send us down.
