  1. Yes, of course. The point I was trying to make is how easy it is for rumours to be put to bed if the commitment to stay is there.
  2. Southampton players take note.... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9308503/transfer-news-borussia-dortmunds-marco-reus-rules-out-move-this-summer http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9308458/transfer-news-julian-draxler-wants-to-stay-at-schalke Both these players have been consistently linked with big moves to the likes of Man Utd and Arsenal in recent weeks/months. If LS and AL really wanted/intended to stay its very easy to clarify the situation. They have had ample opportunity to put the rumours to bed and haven't, when realistically the unsettling impact it is having on the club warrants such a commitment.
  3. I actually agree with you Alpine. I am not having a reactionary response, however I regretfully have little faith in Krueger and the boards future plans. I have been sitting back trying to take in all the OFFICIAL information we are fed. This is not based on anything ITK, purely my interpretation. My career background has fortunately enabled me to see the wood from the trees amongst a world full of PR curve balls and ulterior motives. I believe the club has completely underestimated how close we are to really kicking on to create a legacy for this club with what I believe is our golden generation spanning the last few years. Perhaps this is where the lack of football experience among our executive board members will come into play. There's only so many times Les and MoPo can say otherwise...arguably the reason for Poch lack of long term commitment?! Personally I couldn't care less if the club brings back the stripes etc, however it is exactly this move that the club are being over reliant on to appease fans for the impending 'stabilisation' period. I genuinely hope I am proved very wrong but I suspect I wont be.
  4. Weston? Are you still not worried?!
  5. All fair comments. Lets hope Ralph doesn't get the transfer window confused with a trade season where its part and parcel to change large % of a teams' squad for the new draft.
  6. The media couldn't wait to get to the end of the season to start peddling the 'meltdown' stories again. The fact that we have little football experience within our board set up (with the exception of uncle Les) has given them significant ammo with which to assume we will be taken for a ride by the bigger clubs. I'm sure other clubs are trying to capitalise on the same uncertainty! I would hope that despite any lack of experience, they will be intelligent enough to understand it would be absolutely nonsensical to sell any of our international players prior to the World Cup given the potential increase in value. In terms of any potential Lallana sale, it would have a far bigger impact that any revenue generated IMO. He has become the figure head to the whole ethos of the club, an inspiration if you will for the various groups coming through the academy as well as the first team. From an external point of view, if we are willing to sell our own captain and best player then it gives a strong impression that we have hit our ceiling and are happy to consolidate. I generally don't believe in the scaremongering of a mass wholesale this summer, however this scenario is the only instance that I believe has the potential to pull down the house of cards. It is exactly this intent that the players and manager are waiting to see before committing and this would certainly not be a good way to show their ambition for the future. Unfortunately its a case of 'time will tell' which is never a nice situation to be in.
  7. That originated from Sports Direct News. They make every story up on a daily basis.
  8. Your right, I know for a fact he is a control freak.
  9. I seem to remember the front page of Dello Sport a little while ago was that Allegri had agreed a 3 year deal with Spurs....not sure what ever happened to that. I hate to say it but my gut is that MoPo will be off.
  10. He's still very raw and not ready for the first team IMO. I actually think Guly would have been a better bet to start up front in Rickie's absence.
  11. They're still earning usually 5% of the players salary so are certainly not hard up.
  12. I'm 99.9% sure I'm over thinking it based on the Les Reed statement, but the language used by MoPo seems much more positive this week compared to recent conferences. It comes across like he is far more committed based on comments such 'showing we're doing things in the right way here' and 'it flatters me' on our progress etc. Could it be that some reassurances have come from the board, which has also resulted in the emphatic statement from Les this morning.
  13. Lets sue them! Cortese would. #winduppost
  14. Excellent statement and very reassuring. I'm sure this will come as equally reassuring to some of the other players.
  15. I'm sure your old enough to read the disclaimer. When there are only rumours of players leaving it provides some light relief to even speculate an incoming player, as unlikely as it may be. As an aside, he is definitely not a bigger WUM than those Agent_ITK accounts etc.
  16. indykaila News ‏@indykaila 3m Exclusive: Southampton making enquires for Liverpool left back José Enrique. #LFC He does get the odd thing right, though take everything with a pinch of salt.
  17. As posted on the Moyes leaving thread. indykaila News ‏@indykaila 5m Exclusive: Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has been added to the Manchester United manager shortlist. #MUFC

  19. Good news is that it seems Kevin Mirallas is out for the rest of the season.
  20. You can be sure MoPo wont be hanging around at the news we are planning to sell off up to 3 of our key players....why would he. Disastrous PR move IMO, I'm not sure we will have such a great opportunity to kick on a build a legacy off our current young squad. It was fun while it lasted.
  21. Saying he can't cross based on Saturday is a little harsh. I'd agree that a lot of players were below par, but generally speaking Shaw's crossing this season has been a key attacking outlet for us.
  22. On the whole I'd agree with that. I think so much is dependant on MoPo staying though. I can see potential that Schneiderlin will get the itchiest feet given his international frustrations and will be tempted by a big move. I'm undecided on Shaw, I think he would be willing to stay another year so it boils down to how ambitious the club intends to be in keeping him, ultimately I think money will talk. I think we should prepare ourselves for one big sale. From a balancing the books point of view I would hope the sale of Osvaldo and cutting the likes of Sharp, Barnard etc will cover the shortfall, if needs be add Ramirez to that list. In that scenario it would hopefully allow us more power to fight off the offers for the crown jewels.
  23. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/11142635._/? Hopefully they're misinformed.
  24. I heard Osvaldo did it because he brought braids to the training ground. As an interesting side note Osvaldo was actually forced out of the club for having a ponytail - a decision I fully support. Harry Reed is next....
