Yes, they hurt like hell and one slip can leave you with permanent nerve damage or worse. We'll all be keeping our fingers crossed that nothing bad happens.

Not bad that, but I'd have to factor in even the cheapest of lenses just to have something usable. Given that I'm just an amateur visiting one or two race weekends a year I think I ought to hold back the spending a little. Also, it helps that I can predict the position of an F1 car pretty well (with the shutter delay on a normal Digital camera) so anything that speeds up the response time even a little has to help.

I wouldn't have thought there'll be any vehement anti-Lowes there, so that shouldn't be a problem. Surely they wouldn't want to put any money into SFC that may directly or indirectly support Lowe's tenure?

Strangely though, if you step up to the next level Sony, the A350, the frame rate drops to 2.5fps.

It would appear thet the A100 is genuine Sony and the A200 was made after they bought the Minolta works, and is therefore a much better camera. I shall make further enquiries but, complete with a basic lens kit at under £250, it seems an ideal choice for what I'm after except it's still 'only' 3fps from what I can make out. Thank you both.

It'd be a nightmare watching 50mph (one of the hardest speeds to guess correctly) on the speedo, whilst navigating some of the lanes round this way. I actually crashed and wrote off a Toyota Supra on one such rural lane, less than 5 miles from home, 2 years ago. The limit is 60mph and I was doing less than 40 at the time because of the weather. A SPECS camera, making sure I was doing under 50 would have made **** all difference. Making sure gravel and mud couldn't slip down the embankment might have though. I guess there's not much revenue in actually improving the roads though. Politicians - please **** off.

I've seen the whole kit for under £300 at ASDA and it looked nice and compact. I'm looking for something to deal with Formula One photos and the like. I've got a nice Fuji bridge camera at the moment but the 21x zoom is a bit limiting for some shots and the Sony jobbie takes Minolta A lenses so I can get a couple to do the jobs I need.

Sounds like they swap the set around then because they played none of those at Sheffield in a 2 and a half hour set only 2 days earlier. They played Battery, Am I evil? and Sad But True, alongside the standards plus most of the new album. I loved the changeover from Nothing Else Matters to Sandman and the intro to One was flipping awesome.
