He's not precious and he's not protected but he has put his hands up, on this very thread, and admitted to making a mistake about JP's appointment. He wasn't the only one to make that mistake but some people seem determined to rub his face in it by dredging up old posts. Now, I've been asking for less sniping, whining, bit*hing and bickering a lot over the last few days, and so it's kind of understandable that I would be starting to get annoyed when I see it happening again and again. With that in mind, can we please knock it on the head? Things for the record: I wasn't singling out anyone as a protagonist of the arguments. I haven't accused anyone of breaking any rules. I'm free to make any personal judgements I choose so long as voicing them is not abusive or aggressive - rather like every other poster here.

I don't know why you lot have started on NickG. He seems to one of the few on here who can put their hands up to having made a mistake.

I'm getting fed up of having to read the same old diatribe from the same people, degenerating into the same insult-hurling crud as every other thread. That said, I really believe that it's a symptom of the club rather than the forum. The very same people have been responsible for some very good threads during the more positive times at SFC. However, this place is such a good opportunity to vent frustrations that it would be hard to imagine it not serving that purpose. I just wish everyone could be a bit nicer about it.
