Having just heard his sentiment on unemployment and redundancy I hereby revise my opinion to utter, utter c**t.

Peter Reid for Manager - campaign needed..

Oh dear. Is PR the best we could hope for? -
IF we had appointed a decent British manager after Portvliet

I don't get this obsession with the manager being a Brit. Martinez seems to be doing fine at Swansea (to quote a CCC example). I'd agree with anyone who says that JP/MW are making a pig's ear of things, on the face of it, but not that the next manager must absolutely, positively be British. -
Fair dos.

Buzzin's is an even better description of why that "fact" is wrong.

As you can't score more than 1 goal per chance this states that every good chance equals a goal. That's patently not true.

I reckon the B team will do the A team for pace.

Nice stat find SW.

In fact, some of the people who are suggesting luck has nothing to do with it, are exactly the people who've said we got lucky ourselves when we have snatched a point, or even a win. Can't have it both ways guys.

Oh God no. I agree, to a high degree. Luck definitely plays a part from time to time though.
-
Luck is involved, no doubt about it.

Heh, the Beeb keep trying to stall the audio to get it to match the video. Sounds like Max Headroom commentating.

Bloody annoying that the MOTD commentary on BBC3 is about 2 seconds ahead of the pictures. I knew Beckham had reached the ball before he even came into shot.

He's probably covering for his dad. Reading that article suggests he's had 9 kids by a load of different women.

It wasn't horse****, so I don't get your point in this instance. In many other games I would agree.

Indeed Ewell. It's not something we can just magic up either, which is the worrying part. Ferguson could be the manager and we'd still be slow.
-
I don't disagree with much of what you've said but you can't blame the manager that the goalposts aren't a foot wider spaced apart. He can't force the players to tuck it inside the post and, that aside, his team created a fair few chances for an away game at the team topping the form league.

It's older than you StL.

It gets a bit grating hearing from ardent Saints fans about how embarrassing the club is, in the eyes of the country. It isn't. Other fans give no more thought to us than we give to West Brom, for example. We're in a rut and on the slide. It hurts us badly but it happenss to lots of other clubs, all the time. We're not special,

I agree with that last sentence. We don't really seem to have much pace. I can accept that from Saga, Euell, Wotton and Perry but Surman, DMG, Schneiderlin, Gillett, James, etc. would be expected to have a bit more pace about them.
