Lol, I think most people assumed a scummy country like Qatar wouldn’t even get a look in.
-
Obviously good for convenience and the local economy but it does make a mockery of our so called attempts at combating climate change.
-
How could you protest before the decision? No one was expecting the corrupt old fucker to pull Qatar out the envelope, I don’t think many people even knew they were deciding on the 2022 hosts at the time either.
-
Would make it a bit quicker but you will still have the same margin of error issues. They just need to use big fat lines for each player and if there is any overlap then he’s onside.
-
Though 2 mins silence at the footie was a bit OTT, I didn’t realise the length of time is meant to be proportionate to their supposed importance. How long are we going to give the queen when she snuffs it 3 or 4?
-
Signed. For the reasons mentioned, but also because it’s going to be shit.
-
Going from the boots or anywhere else won’t make any difference, they just need to allow for the margin of error of the person pausing the video and give the benefit of doubt to the attacker.

Makes sense. It’s probably just a matter of time before a vaccine evading strain emerges so you want to get infection rates right down and hopefully be in a position where isolated outbreaks can be dealt with through test track and trace.
-
What a load of bollocks, there is no government on the planet that wants to close stuff down and pay people to sit on their arses at home and watch Netflix. Our government are probably being over cautious because they have fucked up before and the language is all doom and gloom because they don’t want people jumping the gun before the vaccines have been fully rolled out.
-
I agree, but the numbers in hospital during the last wave was very high, and that was with a lockdown. Even with a decent amount of people vaccinated, a return to normal now might see another spike. Or they are more worried about a vaccine evading mutation than they are letting on.
-
I doubt all the vulnerable have, plus it’s not only the vulnerable who die or get effected by long Covid so It probably makes sense to delay the sex parties until June.
-
They are just being over cautious with their language because they know if they say it’s all going to be over in a couple of months a large chunk of the population will just dive straight in with their sex parties and there will be another wave before the vaccines are properly rolled out.

To be fair there is only one poor result in that list, losing to Villa at home.
-
Great news if true.

That’s what they said on the radio, it will be interesting to see it again. I noticed the ref was only shown the tackle and not what happened just before it in the pitch side replay.

Get in, we can beat these northern cunts

Shit defending, shit goalkeeping

I wouldn't have clue who organised what but the Clapham shit-show definitely looked like it swelled the numbers: https://www.cityam.com/londoners-protest-against-police-after-murder-of-sarah-everard/ Notabley: "Monday’s protest proceeded for several hours without the same heavy-handed police tactics, following widespread criticism of Saturday’s events" Weird that the plod changed tactics for this one considering they handled Clapham so perfectly.

They manage to do it in the US, in California for example, people in occupations with a high chance of exposure (including teachers and the police) are in the same group as the over 65s. Now we have got to the stage where we are vaccinating 40 something print cartridge salesmen, it makes sense to me to prioritise certain professions.
-
The high-risk people have been done you bell-end, I’m talking about now we are down to people in their 40s. Surely it makes sense to vaccinate those who face people every day before those sat at home all day - even a thick old gammon like you should get that.
-
Risk of catching and thus spreading the virus is very much linked to profession.
-
The bottom line is the fact the whole point in them wading in was to prevent a Covid risk yet they ended up creating one. A thick old gammon like you is never going to side with a bunch of soppy London lefties so I don’t see the point in arguing any more.
-
They waded in to prevent a Covid risk (despite the fact that the vast majority of people had already left when asked) yet their actions caused more people to gather the following evening to protest - creating a Covid risk. They achieved nothing except piss off a load of soppy Londoners.
-
They might have done if the plod had waded in and forced them to go home.
-
I get the fact that high risk people need vaccinating first, fuck me it’s not rocket science. When it comes to people in their 40s and 50s it surely must make sense to vaccinate those who spend their whole day in contact with other people first. Like I said, it doesn’t matter in the slightest when I get my jab because I don’t need to leave the house, much better a teacher or cab driver has it before me regardless of age.
