Agree with this. I was surprised at what a mess the referendum turned into. The problem with it was the fact that politicians got involved, rational debate went out the window once two groups of bell-ends took sides and decided to say whatever bollocks they thought would ‘win’ their argument. Lies written on busses, project fear and a bunch of self serving tossers trying to get their own way. Fact is as soon as rational thinking goes out the window no one wins and you end up with stupid decisions being made, empty shelves and queues for petrol.

Me and the Mrs tried and failed miserably, now we've just cut back on the amount of meat we eat which is something at least. Having a small amount of meat is probably the healthiest option anyway IMO. You can eat well as a Vegan if you can put the effort in, the BOSH books by Henry Firth & Ian Theasby are excellent for anyone wanting to try.

I respect people for going vegan because it's good for the environment but I don't think I could do it. Could probably go vegetarian if I really tried but couldn't give up cheese.

To raise the profile of the issue I suppose, campaigns of civil disobedience are not a new thing. I guess the suffragette's did some unpopular stuff at the time but women still ended up getting the vote.

Surely that is something that would be negotiated? If Brexit has a similar negative effect on EU countries then it is in everyone's interest to find a solution. It all depends on how it effects us compared to them, obviously if they thrive and we are in a world of shit we would have to accept whatever they ask.

The only people who can change that is the social media companies, hopefully they will be made more responsible for what appears on their sites, as Rio said, they can take down non copyrighted stuff quickly enough, the technology should be there to stamp out offensive material and ban people.

Not unique but I think the tribal nature of football probably does attract the racist types. I’ve been to enough England away games to see what sort of scumbags follow the game. That’s probably why they want to carry on taking the knee, hopefully those types will feel alienated when they see how much support the lads get and stay away.
