Dear god, we all know referees have different opinions, the issue is the lack of consistency between the opinions you bell-end. When it was just one ref making the call, usually a middle-aged man catching a glimpse whilst desperately trying to keep up with play, you can forgive massive differences in their decisions. When they ref has replays from multiple angles at his disposal there is little excuse for such a difference in their calls. The facts are that Bertrand and Kante were similar distances away, Kante’s hand was higher and making himself bigger than Bertrand was, Kante was looking at the ball and Bertrand was not, the ball was moving faster when it hit Bertrand. Those are all facts, not opinions. If you are happy with the inconsistencies between those two decisions then you have really low standards.

It would be good to put any relegation concerns to bed before the cup game with Bournemouth.
-
Dear god, my point is that opinions shouldn’t be that different. Surely these fuck-wits meet up and discuss what should and shouldn’t be a pen with the aim of achieving some sort of consistency. I agree with Carraghar but it if that wasn’t a pen there is no logical reason why Bertrand’s was.
-
We all know what VAR stands for, I obviously meant the use of video is fine it’s just the idiots using it that are the problem. If the ball being struck from close range hitting a hand in an unnatural position is classed as handball then Kante’s and Bertrand’s was - there is no logical reason why Bertrand’s was and Kante’s wasn’t. It’s either lazyness, incompetence or cheating by the officials.
-
There is no excuse for that amount of inconsistency. Bertrand was about the same distance away, the ball was struck harder at Bertrand, Bertrand was facing away from the ball whereas Kante was looking at it, Bertrand’s hand was closer to his side than Kante’s. VAR is fine it’s the people using it that are useless.
-
It’s mental how the officials can get it so wrong. VAR is really highlighting how incompetent the refs are, for years they have hidden behind excuses like they couldn’t see it or the game is so quick, give them video replays, slow mo and multiple angles and they still can’t do their job correctly.

That was miles more of a pen than Bertrand’s! cheating cunts

No idea, just got an email from his daughter saying he had a vaccine and is in ICU. My Mum and her mates have all been done and they say the same about the Oxford having more side efffects.
-
A client of mine had the vaccine and ended up in ICU. 😳

Agree, but we need to remember that this season is a one-off because of the pandemic. The hectic schedule means we not only have to deal with injuries but also should be resting players that are fit. You just have to see how City are running away with the league to understand how more important strength in depth is this year.

We will be a different team if we get KWP and Diallo back.
-
Every time he gets it it’s either backwards or we lose possession.
-
Weird sub, can’t believe Redmond is still on.
-
The only reason we’re not 2 or 3 down is because Everton are negative as fuck.
-
Here we go
-
I wouldn’t be surprised if we go 3-5-2 with those players, Bertrand and Djenepo as wing backs.
-
Probably when they are a bit older, not sure another 9-0 would be great for their development.
-
What 10-0?
-
Not sure dropping McCarthy is the right decision, I don’t think he’s been that bad. Problem with dropping your keeper is if Fraser had a mare tonight you end up with two keepers low on confidence. Expecting to lose 3 or 4 tonight.
-
You could lock them all up on cruise ships.

—————————-—-—— Macca ————————————— ---------- Bednarek -------------Vestergaard ------------- Salisu --------- Djenepo ----- Armstrong ----- Stephens ----- JWP ------------- Bertrand ------------------------ Ings ------------- Adams -------------------------
-
That and the full back situation is why we have collapsed so spectacularly, god help us is JWP picks up an injury, which wouldn't be surprising because he must have played every minute of every game and looks in desperate need of a rest. Money is obviously tight so I guess it's a balance between quality and quantity, buying decent cover means you have less to spend on the first XI and `R~a;lph has taken a bit of punt.

Apart from the most bizarre Premier League debut I have ever seen.
-
I said it, along with his actions vs Man U, hinted at him having a bad attitude, I don’t know the lad so obviously don’t know what he is like, neither do you. If Ralph thinks he’s the best option that’s fine, if he starts Stephens instead that might suggest he thinks the lad is not ready.

If you want to play you work hard and if you are good enough you will play. If you want to go to another club and play you hand in a transfer request.
