  1. But we have never ever had the levels of immigration we are seeing today (except I think during WW2) so it has never been such an issue. If we could control the borders and the government chose not to the public can decide wether to re-elect them or not, at the moment there is no one to vote for to do anything.
  2. I dunno, the only time we have won anything is when we had home advantage. We're just not very good at it.
  3. It articles like that I hate. Highlighting the economic risks are fair enough but when people try to make out that 300k extra people every year doesn't have an effect on public services during a time of austerity then you just know they are talking ******. It's the lack of honesty on both sides of the debate that has made this whole refurendum so irritating. Leaving is a gamble with the economy but it IS the only way to solve the problems caused by mass uncontrolled immigration. Staying is the safest bet for the economy but means there is no way of stopping mass uncontrolled immigration. Personally I think the gamble is worth it, otherwise where is the hope?
  4. Great, now we have Spain, Germany, France and Italy already on our side of the draw. Wales have poland, Switzerland and Croatia so far. Nice one Roy!
  5. It's just uncertainty they don't like. Most of those ****s banging on about how bad it will be are probably going to make a fortune the day after remain wins.
  6. Seems pretty random to me. No surprise people with agendas try and connect the two though. If you look at the bookies odds they have always made remain much more likely.
  7. What were the slew of polls on the 9th/10th June? On those dates the BBCs poll of polls had remain ahead and pulling away. There were two polls on the 10th, Yougov had leave one point ahead, Opinion had remain two ahead. The polls are always wrong anyway, plus the margins so small, surely any slight shift either way would not have investors dumping shares. Sounds like more made up Cameron ****** to me.
  8. Is that even happening or is just more made up ******? From what I can see remain were favourites at the start and are still favourites. Meanwhile the stock market has gone up and down, exchange rates have gone up and down, just like normal.
  9. We could actually have a harder draw if we win the group, makes little difference.
  10. Runner up.
  11. This. It wouldn't surprise me if all this "leave is suddenly winning" nonsense has just been dreamt up by the people with vested interests to remain. Just like the first Irish referendum, apathy is the biggest danger to remain, but I still think they will win easy.
  12. All stuff that British people used to do. Pay people a wage they can live on, and they will do the work.
  13. True, only this morning on the radio there was a statement from the PM mentioning this tragedy and voting to remain in the same breath.
  14. Yes, thought I made that quite clear in post no. 3233. Try reading.
  15. Yes
  16. It will take more than that to convince me that 300,000 more people turning up every year will mean better access to public services I'm afraid. That's just looks to me like economists playing around with stats, I prefer to listen to the people actually in the industry who know what thy are talking about.
  17. These polls are useless, remain will win comfortably IMO.
  18. I just don't see how a federal Europe will work, now can you have a union with a country like Poland who's average wage is around £600 a month?
  19. Does anyone really believe all these scare stories? If we vote leave nothing much will change at all. There is no way in a million years we will leave the single market, it's not in anyone's interests in the UK or Europe to impose trade restrictions of any kind whatsoever. All that will happen is some sort of deal like Norway, the EU will make concessions on immigration, we will still pay some money in but have slightly more control on laws and our borders. The EU has turned into a monster, there is nothing stopping it moving towards a federal Europe unless a country like the UK puts the brakes on. The only way to get reform is to vote leave.
  20. But we have no idea what the consequences will be so how can you plan a budget? Just bullsh!t scare mongering.
  21. Virtually every country on the planet is a better place to live now than it was before we joined the EU. Countries develop, it's what happens.
  22. This. You can't ignore the fact that killing gays IS the law in some Muslim countries.
  23. True, but being in the EU = uncontrolled immigration. There are no grey areas.
  24. 40 lashes for having a drink, nice. That World Cup will be a right laff.
  25. Agree. We would be nuts to let him leave.
