  1. So despite the negatives, leaving the EU means our products become more competitive, our industry is not hampered by EUs red tape, and the government can invest the billions it send to Bussel each year in British industry.
  2. Wouldn't a lower pound actually help our manufacturing industry?
  3. No reason why not, Leicester have shown that the glass ceiling is gone now. All depends on the manager though.
  4. Wasn't the economic case for joining the Euro overwhelming? That turned out to be a bullet dodged. I can't see how these expects can make accurate predictions when no one knows what deal we would strike when we leave. I doubt we would leave the single market even if we left the EU.
  5. Remain by a mile. The media like to portray it as being close just to make a story out of it, the Remain camp portray it as being close to stop their voters getting complacent, the Brexiters portray it as being close because they can't admit they have no chance.
  6. TBF that also helps to get a bunch of multi-millionaire international footballers to listen to you. And also other players to sign for you.
  7. Never said you didn't have history, just that you are Sh!te. As in the current team are not very good at playing football.
  8. It's just a shame we had to lose him to a sh!te club like Everton, I would have understood if it was to a big club. Oh well, onwards and upwards. I expect they will still finish below us again next season.
  9. This. He knew that it was odds on that next season we would finish lower so he's cashed in whilst he can. Can't blame him to be honest, football management is a fickle game. Fact is if he had stayed and we were in the relegation zone after a few months next season he would probably be fired and wouldn't have a hope in hell of getting a Premier League job let alone as Everton's manager. At Everton he can spend more, earn more and finish lower than he did this year and still be considered a success. To be honest I think exactly that will happen, he's not a great manager, he's a decent manager who's worked at an outstanding setup. At Everton he will be a decent manager at a basket case of a club - will be sacked after 1 season.
  10. Because we are a medium sized club who find good people that bigger clubs want. Don't think we can really change that, not sure why we would want to if it carrys on being successful.
  11. If we improve every time we change staff why is it a problem?
  12. Except we've improved both seasons since he ****ed off.
  13. Ambition in football IS money. If we can't afford to pay a few more million in wages why would Koenan think we can afford the type of players he wants?
  14. Would be a false economy to lose a good manager for the sake of a few million. I doubt wages are the only issue though, probably more to do with ambition (size of transfer budget).
  15. Ah well, if he doesn't want to be here he can sling his hook.
  16. What is our net spend then and what is Poland's?
  17. Probably because the people applying know the criteria and wouldn't bother applying if they didn't think they qualified.
  18. Good point. Would be a bit of a false economy losing a good manager for the sake of a few million. Might as well match whatever Everton can offer and if he still wants to go then so be it.
  19. Would be a shame if he goes but if he does it's no drama, just hire someone better.
  20. Yes, but immigration is obviously a big issue for many people otherwise he wouldn't have said it.
  21. If there is no political will why did our Prime Minister pledge to get net immigration down to 10s of thousands, instead of the hundreds of thousands we currently have?
  22. Except of course, we could control it.
  23. Nice article but we can keep these players mainly because we are owned by a billionaire and the sky money has gone up.
  24. So Mexico and South Korea can have a free trade agreement but we are supposed to believe they will impose tariffs on us if we leave. I wonder how many of the other scare stories are completely made up?
  25. This, plus I would add Vardy to that. If we try and crowbar Rooney into the side it will be a spectacular failure.
