  1. This, he already knows the boards intentions. I have a horrible feeling the club's plan is for Lallana, Shaw and Lambert to be replaced by Ward-Prose, Targett and Gallagher in an attempt to showcase how wonderful our academy is.
  2. Problem is we might have to, we're not in a position where we are just adding players we like to the squad, we are going to have to fill key positions even before we get to think about replacing the players who were not good enough last season.
  3. If I had to put my house on it I would say 4, a relegation fight but narrow survival.
  4. To be fair business is about making money and big Kat has pulled in almost £60mill so far this summer.
  5. Having seen how easily Spurs blew 100mill on sh!te I am actually quite reassured that we are taking our time. However if we leave it too late it will be a complete disaster, with so many outgoings we need to get something like a settled side before we kick-off the season.
  6. It does appear that Cortese did miss-sell a dream to the players and we have been left in a bit of a sticky situation. CL qualification was a realistic ambition as long as the money was there - which it obviously wasn't. If we can buy wisely and stay up next season we will be in a very strong position going forward though so it's hard to criticise the Don too much. I expect the only way we could attract the likes of Lovren was to convince them we are going to be the next Chelsea.
  7. Like it, great to have the stripes back - we are Southampton again! We will probably get the relegation scrap back too as well though. I haven't brought a kit for donkeys years but might just buy this one to make a point - it's refreshing to not have our club's look dictated to us by an asshole chairman.
  8. I refuse to believe we will be playing in that sh!te next season. Must be a wind up.
  9. that can't be serious
  10. I think we should be happy with staying up. Next season is going to be a transitional phase regardless of wether Koeman is good enough for the job or not. He may make some astute signings and actually improve the team overnight but there is potential for next season to go spectacularly downhill. The last few seasons have shown the value of having a settled, happy squad.
  11. If Suarez joins Arsenal and says he was dreaming of playing for them whilst playing against them for Liverpool you scousers would want blood.
  12. The club have to draw the line with players leaving now, we simply can't afford to lose Schneiderlin or Lovren. We have plenty of cash, if they want to strike just let them and buy a replacement, if we keep caving in we are just going to open the door for others to leave. We should never have sold Lambert imo, that sent out the wrong message.
  13. or LALLANA IS A W A N K E R CLATTENBURG WAS RIGHT HE PLAYED ONE MATCH FOR ENGLAND AND TURNED INTO A S H I T E
  14. You just copied my post you c*nt.
  15. He credited the Ugly website so don't think there's any copyright issues.
  16. Typical, can afford a full page ad with the change he found down the back of his sofa yet can't be arsed to write more than 5 lines. Sorry Adam, actions speak louder than words even if it is in 28pt Comic Sans, and it's pretty clear what you think of SFC and it's fans with the way you have acted - **** you.
  17. It will just be hollow words from a complete c*nt.
  18. Agree with this. I would love it if all three of their careers go rapidly downhill.
  19. The quality is always sh!te. It doesn't matter what brand it is, they are all put together by 12-year-olds in China and shipped in at the cost of a few quid a unit.
  20. I think even if we buy well there is a fair chance we will struggle. We don't know how the players will react to Poch leaving, Koeman might not be up to the job, players take time to settle and gel as a team. For a club like Saints in the Premier League it is a very fine line between mid-table 'success' and a relegation battle.
  21. I dunno. In the space of just over 6 months we have lost our chairman, manager, almost the entire coaching staff, key attacking midfielder, talisman striker and England international fullback. Our best defender has handed in a request and best central midfielder looks like leaving as well. We could spend the money wisely and improve but I would bite your hand off for a 17th place finish right now.
  22. Getting what we did for Shaw is good business but selling Lambert and Lallana bad.
  23. That's different to paying your a long serving and probably best player top money. If you think there is not big differences between footballers wages at all clubs you are deluded.
  24. Probably, I expect fans of all clubs have an opinion. My opinion is that players know what they can earn and it's counter productive for them to know there is a low wage ceiling at Saints.
  25. I think that's nonsense, if anything the fact that you give some players a high salary will act as motivation to the others. It's that sort of thinking that was Lowe's downfall.
