Stayed at the Premier Inn Buchanan Gallerys when last in Glasgow, that was very central. Plus if you get one of the rooms high up you will get a great view of the riots below.

I think we will win comfortably. A good chance to put more distance between ourselves and the other Champions League contenders.
-
Ironically we've improved by getting rid of all the academy graduates and replacing them with better players.
-
We do seem to be very successful. I think a lot might be due to our catchment area, the fact that Southampton is a half decent place to send your kid, plus the size/position of the club means youngsters will get more of a chance to break through.

Lots of clubs have academys

But the cup is by far our most realistic chance of getting into Europe.
-
But you have never experienced winning a major trophy, how can you say it has diminished?
-
Did you not enjoy Wembley in 76 or going to Cardiff in 2003?

I actually agree with Turkish for once. Plenty of mongs on here were applauding Pochettino for putting out a weak team against Sunderland last year to save their legs for the hope of finishing 7th. I'm glad Koeman values the cups, that shows real ambition. It's also by far our most likely route into Europe which is how you attract and keep your best players.

It would be easier to bulldoze White Hart Lane, enlarge the pitch, and rebuild it again than get Pochetino to change tactics.

First 45mins: 21:55 Attempt missed. Rickie Lambert (Liverpool) header from the centre of the box is just a bit too high following a corner. 29:03 Foul by Rickie Lambert (Liverpool). 34:51 Foul by Rickie Lambert (Liverpool). Living the dream.

That sort of thing I agree with, might as well use our warships for something other than sitting around in pompey docks getting rusty. Will be interesting to see how much we spend helping combat Ebola compared to chasing shepherds around Afganistan shooting off millions of pounds in military hardware.

Most countries in the world just leave the fighting to others, there is no reason why we should be different. WW2 is hardly relevant to today's world, it's 2014 FFS.
-
Definitely leave all the fighting to others.
-
We can be neutral and seldom commit our forces to oversees campaigns as well. Problem is something like Afganistan happens and we send in our forces because we have the capability, and because we get involved we have to keep spending so much. Then the next 'Afgan' happens and we send them in again. It's a vicious circle. Stay the **** out, spend half as much.

According to Wikipedia only the US, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and maybe France spend more than us. That's a lot of countries who spend less.
-
We spend too much on the military anyway, stop getting involved in pointless wars and reduce it further IMO.

9000 on more than £100k pa seems a lot to me, especially considering our country functioned perfectly well before the EU became so big. I'm not against immigration but it needs to be controlled, the fact that loads are coming in from China etc means we should let less in from the EU in my opinion. In any case, there is no reason why we shouldn't have a referendum so we can decide for ourselves. There is no motivation for the big parties to get their noses out the trough and there is no motivation for the Euro MPs to vote themselves out of a job.
-
The whole EU just seems like more pigs with their noses in the trough for every little gain. That's why the traditional main parties have let it grow so big - more jobs for the boys with expenses and tax breaks thrown in. The three main parties only have themselves to blame for UKIP's rise, all have promised referendums but failed to bother to consult the population. People see their wages pushed downwards and the wait for their GP get longer because of immigration and have been utterly powerless to do anything about it whilst the 3 main parties ignore them and serve their own interests - that's why it is undemocratic. That's why UKIP are an attractive option.

If we want him it makes sense to sign him permanently ASAP.
