If some of the stuff I've heard is true then Le Tiss has been pretty reserved in what he has said.
-
Shilton was miles better than Neimi. These polls are always scewed in favour of recent players, no doubt Lambert is better than Shearer and Lallana better than Channon because some SWF geek has actually seen them play.

Cortese is a complete pr!ck if that is true.

I'm guessing Cortese saw MLT on the TV panel and told them to "get that TV off".

Archbishop Tutu says Blair and Bush should be tried as war criminals
aintforever replied to pap's topic in The Lounge
Bush and Blair should stand trial but it will never happen. There is so much money to be made from Iraq's resources that sadly in today's world or greed, right and wrong simply doesn't matter. There are too many levels of scapegoats to make prosecution possible. It was crystal clear after invading that there was absolutely no chance of Iraq ever being a threat. The years of sanctions had left them with barely a functioning tank, the idea that they could have some secret arsenal of nukes is bizarre in the extreme. -
I'd agree with all that Webby says above. Gutted we couldn't hold on but many positives. Hats off to Puncheon.
-
I disagree, I think Cortese is clever enough to know it is ALL about the football matches.
-
There wasn't many people demanding "Adkins for England" to be fair.
-
Don't see how that would matter. A football managers job is get the team to win matches. The story is obviously nonsense though. They just had nothing to fill the back page and thought this would get some attention. I can see how they put 2 + 2 together though. We've spent big, Harry like's to spend big (and to be fair has a good record of working with good players), plus he's local.
-
Ambition, if the club are will to spend large amounts of money, they can attract a certain calibre of manager.
-
Whilst I agree it's unlikely, Cortese has made it pretty clear he doesn't make decisions based on what the supporters want.

Splashing £12mill on Ramirez was bound to create speculation like this. Probably b*ll*x.

Dean Hammond - Brighton Season Long Loan Deal
aintforever replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
Shame to see him go. It won't take him long to win over the Brighton fans. -
The extra hours and responsibility is the disincentive, tax would only play a minor role because the percentages are only ever a few either way. Everyone thinks they work hard, wether they are on minimum wage or in the highest tax bracket. I earn an above average salary and coudn't even tell you how much tax I pay a month - it doesn't interest me. My nan is recovering in hospital at the moment as well, I'm glad I have helped contribute to the care she and you are receiving. I'm certainly not moaning about how much the government have "stolen" off me or bothered that I couldn't afford that second week abroad.
-
Have you turned down a promotion and pay rise because you would pay more tax? Seriously?

31mill so far.... http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/interactive/2012/aug/31/premier-league-transfers-2012-deadline-day

Yeah, bang on the money there mate! LOL
-
He should be good backup for Puncheon.

Get the **** in!!!!
-
How can a high rate of tax ever be a disincentive to self-advancement? You still earn more money the more you work, even if you set a top rate at 90%. If you are that greedy to hate paying tax so much you will want to earn the extra money regardless of how much tax you pay.
-
Everyone who works offers something in return. Thanks to our society, which needs to be funded by taxes. I think this tax is an excellent idea. A one off Robin Hood style tax will negate the argument that people will leave the country to avoid paying tax.
-
Probably because the wealthy get wealthy by taking money from other people.
-
Yes please, great player.
-
You said we couldn't compete with Swansea in the transfer market. LOL
-
I expect that's in Euros. Im guessing the rate is quite good at the moment with Spain and Greece in meltdown.
