  1. Structure my arse, you need a good manager and some good players - that's it. Job sorted.
  2. The bloke is obviously a nut job but Muslims don't have to be so touchy. If someone burned a book I worshiped I would probably be mildly offended but I respect their right to an opinion.
  3. I think it's great news if we don't have a transfer commitee or continental style set up.
  4. I was at work, I clearly remember how the news broke on the radio, at first it was "thought to be a light aircraft" then it just got more and more serious. All the websites were down and I remember for one crazy hour it seemed like the world had gone mad with the Pentagon, jets being scrambled etc. You just didn't know what was going to happen next.
  5. Howe wouldn't not take the job just because his chairman didn't want him to, he would have had his reasons. I have no doubt Mitchell would have tried to talk him into staying. My source has been friends with Howe since he was at school, and told me Wednesday.
  6. What did he say that contradicts what I said then?
  7. Maybe, but I know he didn't want it anyway because of the reasons above.
  8. If we are winning 4-0 it doesn't really matter who the manager is banging. The players didn't look to bothered about it at Bristol.
  9. I'm looking forwrd to having a manager whoever he is. I can't help feeling this Adkins appointment is doomed though.
  10. I heard that Eddie Howe turned the job down because he wanted full control of the football side so it would be interesting to know what the manager's role involves.
  11. It's what happens when you sack a manager after a 4-0 win. I expect team morale is non existent.
  12. I heard (from a good source) on wednesday that he was interviewed but didn't want it mainly because of the DOF thing but also his loyalty to Bournemouth. They never said if he was actually offered it or not, certainly implied it though.
  13. On the same note you can't really say "we wouldn't have a club if it weren't for Cortese" as if it were a fact. It is very likely that someone else would have bought the club if Liebherr had not. Plenty of clubs have gone into admin and none of any size have gone out of business. As Marcus said, he got a very good deal; Englands 15th biggest club, a £30mill stadium, a decent training ground + land and property - for how much? I'm grateful Cortese and Liebherr bought us but be realistic.
  14. If he wins us the Champions League as promised I will forgive him about the lack of pictures in the paper thing.
  15. That lasted long then! LOL
  16. Can't agree with that, if another company tries to poach your staff I don't think there is any obligation to keep it secret. I don't remember Lowe keeping quiet when Spurs nicked Hoddle.
  17. It's still early so there is every chance of promotion but things have gone spectacularly badly so far so I can't say I'm optimistic.
  18. Because Cortese seems like the type of bloke to hand out favours...
  19. Like Bournemouth will care if they are on Nicola's **** list!
  20. There are no facts which go against what the Scunny chairman was saying.
  21. I find that very hard to believe - a Geordie in Costa Coffee when they could be in the Bar.
  22. Fair play to Adkins for having some decency and loyalty. If what is reported is true then he's probably relieved to not be working for such a ****.
