  1. Excellent signing, just what we need.
  2. That's how I see it.
  3. Not as good as the Lowe - Mandric duck thing. Did Lowe ban Mandrick, I can't remember? I assume Cortese will be sat with us at Dean Court for the away game - should be fun.
  4. As this whole shower of sh!te has dragged on ages already that suggests it's going to last a whole lot longer. Does it mean the FL don't like the numbers they presented or is AA wanting another transfer window to raise some cash, or something else?
  5. That what I'm thinking as well. At the players sponsors dinner Pardew did a speech which gave me the impression all was not well. He said something about Cortese giving him a list of games he thinks he should win and he made a remark about it not going to happen. Plus there were a few things said at the end of last season, the rumours at the last game and the pulled programme etc. My guess is, pardew just got fed up with it all. It doesn't matter how great your job is, if you think your boss is a c*nt you want out.
  6. The truth is none of us know if we are skint or not, it is a bit worrying that the squad is worse than last years but I'm guessing Cortese didn't want to blow any serious money until the new manager came in and Adkins is assessing the squad (which is probably the wise thing to do at the moment).
  7. His face annoys me.
  8. It is good to have a derby without a load of mongs trying to fill each others faces in though.
  9. I thought the other brother would be more electable, also looks gimpy but at least he looks old enough to run a country.
  10. Cracking result, well done Nigel and Barney - this could be the turning point.
  11. Whoever is in charge of PR at the moment is doing a fantastically sh!te job. The only important thing is to have someone who knows the fans/customers because footie fans are a funny bunch. Expensive PR companies are just over complicating things and are a waste of money.
  12. The gripes people have had with Cortese are all pretty minor and hopefully his backing down over the photographer ban mistake shows he is learning and willing to change. There have been a few things like the non-communication over installments and the bad mouthing of club legends that have just been retarded decisions but we should be big enough to accept them for what they were and move on - everyone makes mistakes. PR is not important in the whole scheme of things, as long as the manager and players are happy working for Cortese - that is all that counts and we should be fully behind Cortese as long as that is the case.
  13. There is something seriously ****ed up when you can stick two fingers up to the tax man and rip off local businesses with 20p in the pound, then go on a spending spree with 20K a week wages for players like Kitson and Lawrence. Cheating scum.
  14. There is possibly a chance that Mossad knew about the plans or even infiltrated the hijackers but ideas like the towers were brought down by controlled demolition are just nonsense. The conspiracy theories sound good but when you put them under the same scrutiny as the official explanation none of them hold up.
  15. I'm not saying the rumours are fact, just that there is no harm in posting what you have heard, because they MIGHT be true. If no one posted rumour and speculation on these message boards they would be a pretty dull place.
  16. This whole thread is nonsense. Fans speculating about the future of the club will have no effect on what happens in the future. SaintRichmond you need a reality check, if someone hears a rumour there is no harm in posting it on here.
  17. Better football = more fans, it's the same for every club in the land. My point is that IF there is a plan to get in the Prem in 3/5 years time, the ONLY way it can be realistically achieved is by massive spending. If you have a long term plan it's not necessary, or if you want to get to the Championship it's not, but living within your means doesn't get you storming through the Championship against bigger teams with £30mill parachutes to blow.
  18. I don't think any of us actually know Cortese's business plan. If it is "get to the Prem in 3/5 years" it cannot also be " a fiscal approach living within our means" - unless we are very lucky, and being very lucky should not form part of a business plan. If we live within our means it would probably be at least 10-15 years before we are likely to be a Prem club. if we are unlucky it could be 20-30 years or longer or never. The ONLY way to have a realistic chance of getting to the prem in 3/5 years is to chuck lots and lots of money at it.
  19. So you actually believe that if Cortese reads enough speculation, he changes his mind and does what we speculate!? OK. I've heard from a good source that we are going to get a Premier League striker, a midfielder and a winger on loan for the rest of the season.
  20. Never heard of someone clamping your car at your own house - sounds illegal to me.
  21. I think it was a mistake losing Lloyd James, whilst not outstanding I thought he was a decent utility player. It's handy having someone like that, especially when you know they wont sit on the bench and sulk but come in and do a solid job when asked.
  22. What else would they say "Marcus is dead, you're ****ed"?
  23. So apart from the Northam we have.. The Itchen Stand - Never full and no one sings except for about 25 people near the away fans who you can only ever hear if the rest of the ground is in deathly silence. the Kingsland Stand - Never ever started a song ever - only ever join in occasionally when the Northam start something. Can have quite a good atnosphere near the Northam if Northam is full and there is some spill over. The Chapel - Again rarely full, sing songs about once or twice a season. Might as well not be there support wise. yeah, lets slate the Northam because they sing the odd crap song.
  24. If Liebherr family and NC decide to sell the club, one thing you can be completely certain of, is that it's not because of what some football geeks have posted on some internet forum. They are business people, they will make business decisions.
