Of course we want to win it, but we can't let it effect our League performances and I believe the extra games the JPT gives you does end up being a distraction in terms of preparation/tireness/injuries and suspensions. Man U want to win everything, but there is a reason why they play their reserves in the lesser games. Chuck our reserves out against Swindon, if we win then great.

I don't want to lose it but I would definitely rest a few players. People say teams like Man U etc win leagues and cups - true but they also play their reserves for the minor comps - we should too.

EDL and the UAF are obviously both a bunch of morons out looking for a fight. The ****ed up thing is that both their causes are essentially the same because EDL are also against a form of facism. If the UAF had any brains at all they would know that if they didn't turn up to these EDL demos then no one would take any notice of the burberry clad morons, there would be no trouble and they would get zero publicity. When things like this hit the screens every nut job in the country will want to turn up to the next one for a good old punch up.

I don't see what Russia has to gain through starting a war. I expect it's a case of their armies, like us with billions of pounds worth of useless missiles, trying to justify their own existence.

Slagging of the old bill takes no effort what so ever because I haven't been arrested once and everytime I have needed them to do some work (Car broken into, car almost stolen, friend attacked, youth causing damage to my property etc) they have been utterly useless. Most of the time it is the usual "we have limited resources, we can only do so much" sort of pathetic excuses. Then as soon as I go to watch a game of football I am bossed about by the tossers and treated like a criminal, and they seem have all the man power and resources in the world.

Capitalism will implode eventually IMO, the whole idea is grab as much money for yourself and f*ck everyone else, it can only go on for so long. Taditionally is has been kept in check by governments but now it is truly global they are powerless. The credit crisis that has just happened was a warning but things are just carrying on as they were before, the next one will be the real crunch.

I agree that Eddie Howe has done an unbelievable job, most of the games last season Bournemouth couldn't even name a full set of subs - to get promoted under those conditions is probably unheard of. On paper the Saints job is ideal for him but my mate has known his since he was 14, and from what he says I'm just not sure he would stitch up Bournemouth and come to their rivals.

Not sure if Eddie Howe would want the Saints job, think he's Bournemouth through and through.
