Watched "Winters Bone" on Sky Anytime last night. It is a bleak, some might say slow moving film, set in a muddy, cold, poverty-stricken backwoods America. It tells the story of a 17 year old girl who is looking after her family (a much younger brother and sister and a sick mother) as her criminal father has disappeared. It transpires that he has put their home up as a bond against him appearing in court. She sets out to find out what has happened to him and in the process. save their home. Well worth watching and deserved the awards that it recieved IMHO.

Fourth Official reporting interest in Adam Le Fondre from Leicester , Coventry and Rangers (although they have denied it). I suppose that this means that he could be on the move soon. HCDAJFU??

Corp. I am getting really bored with this all now. Let me give you my considered take on this. I think that the main reason for our feeling toward you lot from down the road is the, IMHO, undeserved reputation that you have gained for being "The Best Fans in the World". We know that that isn`t true and I suspect that most of you know it. Sadly, the media always jump on the bandwaggon and encourage the notion. That ( along with the fact that you did get away, whatever you say, with getting in debt to the tune of £120M) is what, I think, winds most of us up because we know that in general your lot are no better or worse than any other set of fans. True that you have possibly more than your fair share of deluded numptys who believe the hype and also true that you have a bigger fickle element than you would like to admit to. You have also been very unlucky/careless in your rogues gallery of owners, which hasn`t helped the image. This is why this thread has turned into a "My **** is Bigger Than Your ****" competition, which is all a bit pointless. I think that some sense of reality from some of your more gormless troglodytes (and yes, I know we have ours too!) would help to ease relations somewhat.

I don`t if it`s the same that I saw earlier in the year, but I was quite surprised that during a scene about him performing at The Windmill, a picture of his application form was quickly shown and his address was seen as "Devonia, Lea Road, Langley nr Southampton". I wonder if the house still exists.

The police have caught the various people who (alledgedly) were in the car the killed the three Asians, the 16 year old that was responsible for the death of the pensioner, the guy who set light to Miss Selfridge, the people who set light to the furniture store amongst others. I believe that something like 1600 people have been arrested. I think that they have detained people right across the spectrum of wrongdoers, not just the naive.

Do you not think that one of the reasons for the tougher sentencing is because of the public outcry for retribution during and just after the lawlessness? I would suggest that "the people" had a great say in this.

Don`t really know, but if the only clubs that wanted him were Skates and Stockport, it would suggest so.

In all honesty FMPR, how do you think that in the same situation Saints crowds would have been affected? Especially as both of your league games were against near neighbours. Do you think that we would have got more than 16000 last night?

Indeed. Some "expert" last night decided that because we scored after Guly went off, it proved that he was crap! This, ignoring the fact that we scored three time when he was ON the pitch!

What if what`s in place at the time isn`t actually sufficient? Most things (including sentencing) change/evolve to suit the prevailing environment. Maybe, just maybe these sentences reflect the the unusual outbreak of lawlessness, and the public fear that went with it, that took place last week. People that thought that they would probably just get an ASBO have had a rude awakening. I guess that the saying "If you can`t do the time, then don`t do the crime" applies here.

I said last season that Guly has the potential to be a great player for us, with the more time and space that there is away from the lower leagues. IMHO he was too good for League One. Yet sadly, he is going to be one of those players who will sharply divide opinion. See some of the comments in last nights Match Thread. Me? I`m really glad that we`ve got him.

But surely, it was a tactical sub, not just taking him off because he wasn`t playing well. By all accounts he was having a great game.
