  1. I`m sure that he would get us back in the Prem. O.K., it may be by going through Poland first, but he would get us there.
  2. Is this a cryptic clue (like "Trawlers and Seagulls)?? Bugger, my head is spinning now - but not in "The Excorsist" sense.
  3. Bingo! Add him to the list! Loved him singing "Trouble over Bridgewater" Paul Simon must be worth a bit too.
  4. Shut up you spoil-sport! This is fun! Brings back the golden days of LLS, Barry the Briefcase, St David, PA, HMR etc. BTW are you American (favor = favour)? Then you must be part of a consortium buying Saints! An American...called Art....over to you Trousers PI (and his assistant Mr Google).
  5. I assume this is the Mike Leigh play with Alison Steadman. I have watched this many times. Makes me laugh every time. It is brilliant.
  6. Well she is "a household name"!
  7. Had a bit of inside info that it might be Ben Steele and Quintin Hubbard from Guernsey;)
  8. Not much new, but Echo reporting deal close. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4324510.Saints_buyout_close_but_not_sealed_yet/
  9. In todays Echo Kelvin says that he really wants to stay with Saints and that he has had the happiest time of his career here. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4324509.Kelvin__I_hope_I_can_stay/
  10. Quite right. Let`s just keep our fingers crossed!
  11. League One didn`t scare Leicester this season, and they would be considered a big scalp I suspect.
  12. Bloody Hell! You`re sticking you neck out!
  13. TBF it was almost a throwaway line at the end of the report about Saturday so it may not have a direct quote from Fry. It may have been journalist-speak. Bottom line is that we won`t really know until it all unfolds.
  14. Well being a "glass half full" sort of person, I am assuming that as the club is liable to go out of existence within the next few days, a new buyer would be rescueing us. Wouldn`t he? Probably just a turn of phrase...probably.....I expect.....isn`t it?
  15. Yes but these denials are all about Tom Scott, not Lowe.
  16. Blimey! I would hate to be the same room as you and Alpine. I`d end up slitting my wrists. And I`m supposed to be a miserableoldgit!
  17. These were the words used on the programme.
  18. Just mentioned on South Today that Mark Fry hopes to take a rescue package to the FL by the end of this week.
  19. This is the problem for Crouch though. Damned if you do and damned if you don`t. If he had just walked away like he didn`t care he would be crucified, but because has stayed and appealing to fans , he is being, well......crucified.
  20. Totally agree, but it was strange on Saturday. I sit in the Kingsland on the halfway line and although it was an emotional day, I didn`t detect any feelings of "nastiness". It was only when the police came on with the dogs that the feeling changed. I am not condoning the pitch invasion etc but I seriously wonder if the police preparations for this game and the "dog" decision were the right thing.
  21. Interesting way of describing 1000`s of members of the general public.
  22. Someone saying something positive about McMenemy shock:shock: Agree with you sentiments.
  23. If that is the case then I whole-heartedly agree with you.
