  1. 26,467, thats without any inside knowledge or asking at the ticket office. weather forcast is that it will be raining goals.. no excuses not to turn up.
  2. Saints will win, (I hope) thats good enough for me...really looking forward to the game though, if its anything like the last few games we should be entertained if nothing else..
  3. slighty off topic i know, but I went to Wembley last night to support England.. (ticket £45 plus £2.50 postage) I was sat in the upper tier behind the goal. I was surrounded by foreigners, east europeans to my left, japanese or koreans to my right and in front and behind me were asians. The National anthem was ignored, no one spoke english. Is supporting England like supporting Manchester United, tourists taking up a good percentage of the total crowd these days...???
  4. Would love to see big Ron come over to SMS, happy birthday Ron
  5. Kevin Moore deserves all the money raised thats possible, hope there is a fantastic response to this..any chance of auctioning some items on the forum for those that cannot get to the event.
  6. I sat with the home fans at Plymouth and the locals around me guessed I was a Saints fan, but I had no problems, it did severly curtail the ability to celebrate the goals and certain promotion.
  7. Plymouth havent got any teams they dislike, they are too remote from civilisation in the west country, local rivals are Exeter, Torquay and Dartmoor rovers.
  8. cant think that any Saints fans are Glory Hunters, especially over the last few years, I myself have a season ticket, but havent always been able to afford it. In the present economic climate just attending a game is a severe drain on resources. I wait with interest the cost of next years season tickets !!
  9. just donated, well done, already looking forward to next season ;-)
  10. stupid to wear a pompey shirt in southampton...should of had more sense
  11. Plymouth --- because they wish they had the support, facilities and location of Saints...plus they are plymouthians and are inferior to everyone..
  12. Just got mine for the home section from a friend in Plymouth..and it seems that there are quite a few Saints already done the same...unless we are still Plymouths cup final :-)
  13. I'm hoping to pick up tickets for the home ends if possible, they only average about 8k at home games, there should be more than enough for us Saints fans
  14. Local fan for my young years, moved away years ago, I still have a season ticket and travel to all home games, thats not too bad if I am at home, but for evening games I travel straight from work in West london, and thats not easy sometimes.. To take a pay cut and work/live in southampton would be a dream for me..
  15. Wouldnt be a dry eye in the house if Ron made it to St Marys, what a welcome he would recieve, lets hope it happens :-)
  16. bless the lot of them, I'm sure that they enjoyed their big day out, i had to give instructions to a few cherry fans on how to to get to SMS, i said "follow the crowd" they said "whats a crowd"
  17. Bournemouth fans were extremely quiet, I was in the Kingsland and couldn't hear any noise from them at all, even the itchen came across louder than the wanabee skates...
  18. Bournemouth, bless em :-) It might be good to include Aldershot, Reading, Swindon etc as derby rivals if we include bournemouth
  19. I didnt miss a home match last season, this will be the 2nd already this season !!! am i a bad fan ?
  20. Oh well, ive lost count of the managers that Saints have had since I first started watching when Ted Bates was in charge, so I really dont see anything different happenning, whoever ends up in charge will have no excuse not to get promotion..
