He scored six in the premier league, one more than Gaston, but goals scored wasn't the subject of the post I responded to. It was the idea of Puncheon being creative. Fwiw it did take Puncheon 66 shots to score six goals, so he's scoring with less than 10% if his shots. Marksman? Probably not. Puncheon wasn't that great at all last season. The fact that many of the players didn't do that well in terms of goals or assists, and the fact that he was a total tool and completely useless during his earlier time at the club, all contrive to make people feel he did better than he actually did! Something is wrong if we can be signing players of Osvaldo, Wayamama and Gaston's quality and then worry about potentially missing Puncheon! Luckily, the club obviously see it the same way, hence why he has gone.

Puncheon got one assist in the league last year. I'm not sure his departure will do much to dent our creativity.

Stadium food has always been rubbish. What's all the fuss about? If you don't like it, don't buy it. Nobody is forcing you to buy it. It's certainly not worth losing your rag over.

Still think we need one more tbh. I know it's early days and our new boys haven't gelled, but we need to be able to move the ball quicker and I think we need to exploit counter attack opportunities with more direct (not necessarily route one) balls at times. We don't score enough goals by playing defence splitting balls for attackers to run onto. We always seem to go for the wide option and look to hit hopeful crosses into the box. This might be because of the idiot behind me in the Northam who never stops shouting "Go wide!" though.

I inferred visible frustration from him directed towards his team mates at times for not playing the ball to him when he wanted.

Last season in the epl... Ramirez made 26 appearances, scored 5, created 3. Puncheon made 32 appearances, scored 6 and created 1. Apparently, Puncheon was "one of our top performers last season" whereas "Gaston was awful". Funny how people read the game.

Good. he's not the calibre of player we should be starting.

I find it very disappointing that there are always people out there who want to use what should be a really happy time for all Saints fans as an opportunity to become abusive towards one another. It's that sort of behaviour that has turned this place into a no go zone for many people except the most sick and depraved. Rightly or wrongly, the OP was entitled to express his concerns when he did. As somebody has already said, there is a fine line between a good window and a bad window. Many of the regular posters on here would have been contemplating suicide if we had only signed two players in the window; the OP just voiced concern earlier than most. BIG WOW.

Was poor against Sociedad but didn't get shown up yesterday. Got rid of the ball very quickly with simple passes which shows his age /confidence I guess.
