I'm not sure I understand the anti-bingo bus feeling. Surely it's just a means of transport to a game? Does transport to a game have to involve getting drunk, lots of shouting, intimidation of the general public and a cheeky punch up if you're lucky just to complete the experience?

With tickets now on sale to ST holders, who has got tickets? The OS said they were expecting high demand, hence the staggered on sale dates, but haviong not seen a thread on here yet (I may have missed one), I wonder if demand will really be that high.

I bummed Delldays

As long as I can have my season ticket seat without some other muppet buying it, I shall be happy.

The Withdean is an embarassment. Isn't it about time Brighton built a new stadium?

The entirely speculative 'replacements for Puncheon' thread

I don't think we'll see any action until January. In the meantime we have a glut of left sided players and playing one of these would allow us to put Lallana out on the right and use Chamberlain for impact. Lee Holmes may at last get a look in, or Dickson if Holmes isn't on form. I'm sure Butterfield is capable of playing at right midfield as well. -
HAve a look on parkers.co.uk; not very positive reviews really.

heh, sounds like you and I probably sit pretty near each other in the Kingsland then from that comment. Definitiely the best seats in 'the house'.
-
As others have said, there ARE bad views at SMS. Anything such as block 3 which looks across at the side of the goal offers a crap view. People like me who have seats slap bang on the halfway line in the Kingsland dont want to have to be displaced when these cup games come round. We've paid more for our season tickets than people in the wings / ends and then we can't even buy our own seats for cup games.

Does he mean "cynicism"?

Chaplow and Barnard seem to be 'very close'. They are always sighted together.

And I still can't sit in the 'best' stand as it's shut.

You get 10% off hospitality prices if you are a season ticket holder. Not great, but better than nothing. Maybe you could resell your season ticket as well which would bring the cost down considerably.

Cortese wasn't watching the game from the Directors Box today. After all the fuss with the ticket price, I'd have at least expected him to turn up to relish the victory!

This was not a pretty game. For much of the first half we simply didn't have enough possession. For parts of the second half we had more possession, but were wasteful or pressured too quickly by the opposition to know what to do with it. Things were more positive, if a little desperate, from 80mins onwards, but it was still looking unlikely that we would score. Lallana frustrated me today. I thought he had the whiff of Fernandes about him; turning this way and that, frequently without an end product. I know he scored, but that doesn't negate the bad points of his performance. I don't think he does a great deal when he's off the ball either. Chamberlain struggled to have the same impression he did against Notts County; his football brain clearly hasn't developed yet at the tender age of 17! He found himself in the wrong position to receive the ball on occasions and couldn't do the right thing with the ball at times when he had it. Leaving the game, I knew that if it hadn't been for those two surprise goals, we would have all been very, very disappointed with the performance.

As it says on the tin ... has anyone had the chance to play FM2011 on the same machine they used to play FM2010 and draw comparisons? FM2010 was slow-ish but ok on my laptopt, and I don't want to buy FM2011 if it is going to be slower.

I can't see the point for doing it at a game that only costs £15 a ticket. If you go to a normal game when your ticket would cost £25, your curry, drink and lounge / bar access is only costing £12 which is pretty good value really.

Series two is up there as well. 'London' is perhaps the stand out episode for me. The bottom line is that the 3rd series was a little dialogue heavy, but without as frequent humour. It also found itself going a bit cliched, but at least they've knocked it on the head now. The film is in production though.

care to share the real world mpg figure?

There's nothing wrong with the carpet at Carpet Right as long as you avoid the cheaper stuff like the plague. However, you'd be mad to purchase anything from them other than the carpet itself. In other words, get your fitter to supply underlay and trims. The price of these accessories and the fitting costs themselves are astronomical if supplied by Carpet Right. They use these prices to make up for the 'discounts' offered on the actual carpets. If you don't believe me, get Carpet Right to quote for these bits then approach a good quality independent fitter to see what they quote. You could probably half your costs doing it that way.

you're going to pay interest on excess mortage funds just to try and claw some funds back in interest gained on shares? Surely that's a but of a waste of time?
