  1. We just had 7 ceilings and a whole heap of pipe and wiring chases done, Coving put up in 2 rooms. The finish was exceptional, in fact the ceilings were so good it hurt to see the Missus rollering emulsion over them. Cost us £1300+/- total, and to be honest if I paid over the odds C'est la vie as far as we are concerned for the total "experience" from beginning to end it was money well spent.
  2. When I win on Friday, I will pay the debts. Help out friends and family. Make an appointment at the Sunseeker Factory to order something very smart and very fast, then while the second one is being built take it down to the Med via the canals of France using an auxiliary engine on the back so as not to coke up the main engines. I would stop whenever I wanted along the way and enjoy eating and drinking at my leisure. I would play Golf all over the world at the finest courses, and some less known about gems, travelling 1st class all the way. I would punt some money into the company I work for just to see how far we could push it, if only to upset the companies in our industry who currently look down on us. So that my kids don't loose sight of reality I would take a leaf out of Peter Jones book, he has said that he would match his childrens salary in whatever job they did. If they chose to do something worthy like nursing he would triple that amount. Send my Mum & Dad around the World on one of the Cunard boats 1st class of course, plus get my Dad to see the finest doctors in their field to see if they can ease the discomfort he has from the myriad of medications he is on. Is it Friday yet?????!!
  3. I always thought that he would have kept us up if the Prima Donna's in the side had not seen him kicked out, he got Claus scoring and seemed to tame Fabrice into being a team player. And before I get jumped all over, we really became a force to be reckoned with after he went even with Teflon Arry the god of All football at the helm.
  4. I hope we had bids tabled for Fabregas & Clichy: Barcelona & Man City who are they!!! Carlos Teves wants a move....................
  5. Nowt wrong with WGS approach, we were super fit under him. Which for a team of, in the grand scheme of the time, ordinary players paid off, especially when we would win games in the last 10 minutes mainly through being conditioned to play 100+ minutes.
  6. Jeez some folks are on some weird narcotics on this site!!!! What also beggars belief is Oxo can terrorise the wing at 17 but A 21 year old CB needs to go out on loan because he is not old enough???!! I would hate to be in relying on some of you for a job if I was a nipper with the credentials for the job, but because of the date of birth on the application would be just chucked in the bin. Whenever I have seen him play I have never questioned his "inexperience": only players with a special something get plucked from non league to play full fat football at a level above the bottom league.
  7. Maybe it's time to drag out the big dog, Lawrie Mac. He had a knack of picking up some of the most famous players in the land, he never took them straight to The Dell he would always give them a bit of a tour of the area to show them the quality of life they would have away from the ground. Perhaps "Mrs" Cork needs the tour. Southampton area is 10x nicer than Burnley.
  8. Hope the Southampton Ale is better than the dishwater they passed as bitter the last few years, unfortunately I take no pleasure in drinking "English" lager so don't buy it.
  9. Hold the rain!!! Got successful in the second chance, and yes, as mentioned above, it's a sport I would think twice about crossing the road to see but it gets us up to the hubbub of the event and the family will be able to see the Olympic complex etc. At the end of the day not even my kids are not going to see such a global event right on their doorstep in their lifetime.
  10. Once upon a time and even when we were at SMS the Membership scheme had reportedly 21K folks who had signed up to it beyond ST holders, not sure how many of that included Junior Saints who did get a great deal of value in their packs (topped the Newsround poll for best value one year- as my kids bounced round the room telling me when I came in one evening). Of course many folks would have kept on their memberships from the scramble to get tickets at The Dell out of habit.
  11. My Daughter won't best pleased if Fish is the make-weight in the deal. £3m! amazing what players will sell for these days, but then compared to inflation of other things if Trevor Francis, who was a player of some repute in his day, sold for £1m back in 1979/80 (?) that would probably make Billy Sharpe £90,000 £150,000 tops back then. (Kevin Keegan european footballer of the year came to us around the same time for £450,000!! by comparison that was daylight robbery!!). Of course another thing, we have been so use to buying that'll do for the money players over the years, when we see this kind of money being spoken about many of us probably think we are buying a Superstar buy comparison to budget players we have bought.
  12. Would have laughed if they had taken Poortvliet, as he was the Dutch defender who Archie Gemmel nutmegged en route to scoring probably one of the best ever world cup goals in 1978.
  13. Got absolutely chuff all, thanks London 2012: hope it rains every bloody day!!
  14. Anthony Pulis as part of a very convoluted drunken deal done between. 2 chairmen, the rub is trying to ship him back here without us noticing before it's too late!!!!!!
  15. Please let our game get punted back to Sunday then as things go I shall miss only one game with my ST
  16. Ho Hum another year of not getting a Shirt for my Birthday, last year sold out in my size, this year buggered off on me Jolly's................. ah well one day. Whoever runs marketing inside SMS no doubt thinks all this leaving us lot hanging on everything we are anticipating is a right wheeze.
  17. Can't argue with that!!
  18. Phew! Just checked in the mirror and discovered that I am in the clear on that one!!!
  19. Here we go 2hrs on the M25 or Perepheric on a Friday night, and they are about to be let off the leash with chilly tyres. Planned to go twice, and twice something has scuppered the adventure to Le Mans.
  20. I quite like Argeles sur Mer, however just realised that it has been a good few years since I last went there, learned to to windsurf there. If the weather is a tad inclement take a visit to once hyper cheap frontier town of Le Perthus just down the road, if anything the buying Spirits will be at Spainish duty which is a bit cheaper than France. Take the coast road to Spain the views are spectacular although the towns en route have lost a bit of their lustre. Barcelona is an easy day trip. If you are driving down via Clermont and the Millau Bridge and are looking for something quick to eat, after the Millau bridge take the turning for La Cavalrie drive into the village at the junction turn right on the right cracking little bakery, the Merangues are awesome.
  21. Have we signed RUDI Skacel yet? If we do I hope that he signs sat at a desk on the pitch: old stylee!! Hope I my added effort and the possibility that I might live closer to Lighthouse for a right good slap! Returning to the subject be good to see how Uwe fairs, he was a good player in his pomp.
  22. ".......... And as for you!........... You Welsh tart!!!!". ..................... Ooops! Sorry wrong player & team. Not forgetting blessed are the Kingslanders.

  24. The Urinals in St Mary's total 550 metres (1800 ft) in length.
  25. Err yup! And that Tina what does the sport on the Radio1 Chris Moyles show will mention it because the The Star, The Mirror, The Sun & The Daily Mail (who will have an exclusive) will have all picked it up from this tread, and because Ingerland were so sho!te on Saturday news will be a tad thin on the ground.............. ................. Oh dear Huffton: what have you done..................??!!!
