  6. Stu stop winding him up him and his son will get a ticket, there will be a surprising amount of season ticket holders who will not take up their second ticket, if he has a positive approach he will get one. Those who want a ticket enough will get one. When we had the P*mpey free for all on open sales the chat was that that all the tickets would be sold out by 2pm on the Friday, I bought all the tickets that I wanted in the exact seats that I wanted eventually on the phone at 1:45pm on that Friday.
  7. I assumed that you could only get this if you were a Club Wembley member, so I asked my mate who is and hey presto 4 tickets (Block 250 so I can take in the Red & White vista before me) without all the rigmarole that seems to have been going on in the threads above. You are paying top price but you would not being doing this every year (just yet): Got out of jail being knocked out of the FA and League Cups, £150 is the face value of seats in Club Wembley.

  10. If you want to park your own car on the approaches to Wembley that'll be £10 -£15 if you want to splash out and park in the Wembley car park kiss goodbye to £25. £25 for the coach to Wembley coach parking emission charges all in being able to have a drink relax, small price to pay for convenience what on we hope would be a grand day out. Not as if its every year.
  11. Ahem!! My Wife!!...... Your sweaty Hand!!!!............. My bloody camera which you let the battery run out on!!!..........................and you still owe me 40 quid for your afternoon of jiggling fun!!............................ Jeez you give a guy a treat and he takes the whatsit!!! ;-)
  12. Woodsaint you will get a ticket mate. I am glad that I have a mate with Club Wembley seats so I should have my four seats lined up by the end of this week, shame is I will not be sat with the "boys" I usually sit with in the Chapel, they are making full use of the extra ticket for a good family day out............. Fair play to them.
  13. Does cramp, thats CraMp, in both thighs count? Thankfully "stand up if you love the Saints" and goal mouth chances managed to stretch it out until half time.
  14. Not really a surprise in the grand scheme of things. With regard to the electrification I have often wondered how the trains that are sometimes laid up there get there, I figured that the power just came a convenient way down the track siding. The story office in Saints was sponsored by Pravda at the time.
  15. You can't beat the clarity of vision of Children watching this great game, their views are so untainted. Driving to the game yesterday the Academy final v Aston Villa on a Friday night came up, my now 15year old daughter piped up from the back of the car to recount what a great game it was, I just recall from that night watching her and a few other kids around us sliding forwards on their seats in expectation whenever we went on the attack. What an adventure sprouts who are coming to games now are possibly about to set out on with Saints. I had it when I was 11 with Saints FA Cup, Promotion, metaphorically spreading the big teams noses across their faces on a Saturday afternoon.................... Great stuff!!
  16. I have to add when he was gee'ing up the Chapel in the first half of yesterdays game, I thought hey this guy has got us and likes us: a bit rare for a loanee these days.
  17. Electrification of the railway is just up the line under the Northam Road footbridge, but as the line is used to service the docks with the occaisional load which is moved traditionally by Diesel locomotives (or the odd romantic Steam Engine pulling Pullman carriages to the liners) it has no commercial advantage to be electrified for use every 2 weeks or so. We might just see it happen in our lifetime, it would have been ideal for the P*mpey game.
  18. I like him, his elastic legs get the opposition players in a bit of a kerfuffle he has pace and ball control and contributes well. All of this nonsense about him being offside too often in league 1 showed yesterday when having sprung the trap he looked at the lino to find that having a prem linesman who could keep up with play and keep his flag down. A luxury in League 1 we can afford, and we should enjoy the excitement he gives most of the crowd when running towards the oppo's penalty box.
  19. I have to say the best ever Derby game atmosphere at SMS was the League Cup night game, we had not played them for years so all of that pent up rivalry came out from 3 and a quarter sides of the ground all enhanced by the game being under the floodlights; it certainly made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. The last quarter of the Norwich game when the faint chance of staying up was at stake will also remain stored in the memory. As will the night game with Newcastle towards the end of the 2003/4 season I think the result was 3-3, Alan Blayney in for Niemi made a stunning double save from Shearer, the ground was jumping that night.
