Birkenhead is just a short tunnel trip from Liverpool so the successful bidder might get a box of Alloys instead ;-)
-
Anyone who changes it back needs to have their heads seeing to, unless you are that hard up, we either keep it for other trips or sell it on to friends at the rate we payed for it.
-
So it wasn't Minty who got Heather knock-up after all! ;-)

I made a purchase in El Corte Ingles in Barcelona they said that if I would like they could charge me in GBP rather than Euros, when they made the conversion I was better off. When I got my bank statement bloomin RBS had charged me for a sterling transaction because it was abroad: about the only time I have had the major arse with them.

I bought in excess of £2.5k simply because we are on a DIY holiday Site fees, storage, fuel, tolls, etc to pay for only the tunnel and insurance is paid for so far, the Thomas Cook price was still the best. A European bank account would be a damn sight easier, and just get my company to pay a set amount a month into it: mission of the holiday this year methinks.

Just thought that I would pass this on: I had to buy my Euro's for my holiday and was shopping around for the best rate (I would normally get them from work but the owners have both buggered off at the same time leaving no option but to pay high street prices) as I save my holiday money in the building society purchasing at favourable online rates is not so easy. This morning I had a phone around v a 1.16 bank rate, M&S 1.07 ("no commission" yeah right) Post Office 1.11 Tesco 1.10. Then I looked a Thomas Cook online: I could book what I wanted for collection in store, print off my voucher to hand in and secure the online price which today was almost 1.13 as opposed to the 1.11 rate stated in the window. Just thought that I would share this with any of you heading to Europe for your holi's especially as this year will not be as cheap as previous years.

Cheers Qwerty that would have taken me most of the evening to have translated that, but then reading through it I don't think that I would have given up as I would be have been eager to find out more. I like the cut of this mans gib.

I only buy the Daily Mail on a Saturday, out of habit and because it is an easy read with a few lightly amusing regulars. But mainly for the TV guide which my kids like for the soap update and having a look at what might be worth watching over the week, and I do the Arrow word in the back after Sunday Breakfast. All very effortless, I sometimes buy the Times or Telegraph as well just for a bit more of an intelligent read,

Save it for the Muppet show!

When WGS was announced as our manager the cat was out of the bag on a Sunday evening: So I will take a punt on that in the time slot between just before Top Gear to the end of Ben Fogle and Whatsit Cracknell racing to the South Pole :-) The best thing about all these little sweepstakes now is as Saints are now privately owned we don't have to tell anyone in the City what we are up to, so Saints can now go ................. Ta-daa! Say hello to..............

Cripes! South Today goes right up beyond Moreton in the Marsh in the Cotswolds so with your rational we are lucky Jim Smith didn't make it a possible Quartet with his Oxford United links!!!

So should their parents who are invariably sat next to them. This has to be the best suggestion of the day.

Bookies odds on next Southampton manager

Was he at the Aviation Museum? -
Can't see a ticket price on the Season Ticket piece on the OS for the spare seats that will now be available in the Directors box if every man jack of the staff is buying their own season tickets. Hey what a wheeze that would be buy a standard season ticket and get put into a weekly draw for a comfy seat in the Directors box with all the trimmings, and you can still wear your replica shirt.

Its a shame for him, seeing as he stuck by us though the very deep do-do, so thank you to him for that. I think some people are pretty harsh in his direction seeing as he had Naivety and Mercenary to work with for most of his tenure. As for players not liking the manager, tough ****, how many Man Utd players would like to go out on a social with Sir Alex. Even under WGS the players hated the fact that he checked out the drinking holes in town to make sure they were not out late on the lash, many of them hated his severe training regime. Luggy turned up and the players thought they could pull the wool over his eyes: great end result boys.... relegation. I believe if he had stayed we would have been safe that season. But as has been said already football is a results driven business and sentimentality goes out the window. Bizarrely if Lawrie Mac started as our Manager today (theoretically transporting 1974 to today) he would not have had the chance to take us on to the heady days that he did. Thanks Mark..................... Good Luck

SSN - Sky Sport still reporting Davis to West Ham
John Boy Saint replied to SaintNeil90's topic in The Saints
Even Radio 1 newsbeat had it on at lunchtime, with the leaning towards West Hams disapointment with a hint of surprise at his decision but not a word about Southampton we had used that up in an earlier piece. -
Yesterday was Christmas Day, today is Boxing day and your favourite Auntie has just popped in with another great present. Thank you Kelvin (and whoever had a word in your ear)
-
With him on the wing he would have to take a good book on the pitch with him to read while waiting for Rasiak and John to get into position for the cross.
-
Happy Christmas to one and all!!!!!

Chorkle?................. what happened mate? Eating your chocolate Hobnob when you read the post and laughed thus inhaling a rolled oat down the wrong way. ;-)

Of course they changed up Tesco Clubcard vouchers online, but thanks to Adam Croziers fiddling about the Postman hasn't delivered them to Herr Liebherr's house yet as he is just finishing his rounds in Romsey.

Or is this just P E in the trouser department from Danny having been seduced by The Echo into believing they are ITK to maintain their credability? ;-)

Fry - Takeover is almost complete. Funds being transferred.
John Boy Saint replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
At the time of typing there are 563 of us viewing Saints like expectant Fathers pacing the corridors outside Maternity. -
I would go to the Echo and shame the housing association into submission for your actions in protecting a disabled person who is unable to defend themselves from an attack from an able bodied person who should know a damn sight better, they should be the ones being fined, and more, for the initial attack provoked or not.

He must have had a nasty shock when the screen said: Your current balance = Nowt You can withdraw = Bugger all
