From what I understand he owes more than what is being offered, hence his stance. He’s desperate, likely to lose most of it, he owns the ground under a different company, so all pretty shit up there for any takeover or new club to form.

Currently only 11 first teamers 🥺 Have to feel for the fans, looking like 24th place already booked.
-
He already hired a female coach. Didn’t last long, not sure what the issue was with her departing earlier than her contract.

Agree, if I wanted to do puzzles I’ll do wordle and connections!

He can sing sweet violets for all I care!

Just for fun. At what Match day will we reach 12 points in 25/26?

Sod it… the fourth match. easy to be optimistic when a ball hasn’t been played this season! -
I wasn’t.

Has Baz turned the corner and started to develop into a decent keeper?

I don’t think you can compare Still to Martin and his naive approach to the premier league and not knowing how physical it was going to be. As for the Championship Le Bris did well. I don’t think experience in the Championship is such a big factor when it comes to manager quality.

Do you really believe that no other clubs, agents and players know the situation at Southampton? Every player has their value whether they are in demand or not (except Jack Stephens of course). It’s not like a car boot sale where everything must go. Many may well go on loan.
-
Do you know what they were doing to over practice the penalties? Seems bizarre as generally practice is good, perhaps they didn’t create the right conditions, have some risks from taking a penalty?
-
Ok, not a defence of Jack, but he had no support when receiving the ball. However, this is when experience should kick in - why go back in the danger area? Why no urgency moving to the ball? No safe option - get rid, and start bollocking your team mates.

I think there maybe some reevaluation going on from some players and the club, having brought in Will Still, he’s probably created a good impression. If Matsuki has played himself into the squad, maybe the new AM is not needed this season??? Ultimately down to the Manager on who he can rely on for a promotion push I would think.
-
I can imagine it’s now all about trimming the squad and trying to keep as many of the players that would be useful if promotion is achieved. Money banked ready.

Sell on only applies to profit.

Yeah, best to avoid payment in potatoes or other goods. 😜 Why do we need to sell at least two?

Plus the maximum length of contract allowed for players under 18 is three years.
-
This is only on Sky Sports News, not the Football League. Let’s see what they say and if they take the PL penalty into account.

Nice to get it confirmed. My parents moved to a house with it in and next day after the house welcome party dug it up. Always wondered why.

He was captain at Volendam, which is a plus. Fits the current profile. There were other clubs named so no idea if Saints were seriously interested or as you say was down the list from Quarshie. Still plenty of young CBs at the club at the moment who need playing experience and will not be able to at Saints this season.
-
I think there is a difference between a player who could be a £30m plus player and one performing as one. If he’s still on his first contract then the club should recognise his first team status at least.

The lottery of the playoffs last time. If the new regime mean business in going for promotion this season, top two finish has to be the target. Bazunu doesn’t strike me as a top two performer, McCarthy as a back up. A number of teams will also be wanting to challenge for a top two place. Why take the risk? If Ramsdale leaves a new number one keeper is needed as a replacement. So need a decision on Ramsdale sooner rather than later to help find a suitable replacement.

Previous company, different part of the organisation, 12 month contract. Different skill set maybe 10% overlap. assessment does not like the fact it is the previous company employed by and they don’t understand the roles as it seems if I came back as an administrator it would say there is an overlap.

Looking for advice if anyone can help. I was made redundant in May and in preparation set up a company to work freelance in April. I have a potential contract but am falling foul of IR35 (independent company assessment not CEST). Do any Saints fans have any expertise in this area and are willing to provide advice? Even around umbrella companies if that is what I need to do. Thanks.

Mediocrity would always win by force of numbers, but it would win only more mediocrity.
